Manicotti - you won't leave hungry!
Tommy P.

It's sort of a trip back to the cheesy red-sauce places in Flyover Country in the Seventies. But done right - this might be just what you want or need. While I can only give the (apparently family-run) DiCicco's three stars as a restaurant experience from my present foodie perspective, I suspect we'll always look at our memories of our meal there fondly. And the service rates an additional star. The food is . . . like that in a cheesy red-sauce place in flyover country in the Seventies. Not like Nonna used to make, not what we cook at home and certainly not like you're going to find at almost any upscale Italian restaurant of the present-day. But, you'll get a LOT of it, and they don't hold back on the cheese. It's like a happy memory of childhood . . . but not a foodie experience of the Twenties. Cocktails are solid - just like Uncle Art used to make in the Seventies (don't tell Mom I had a taste). The service? Couldn't be better - friendly, down-home, hustling. The room? Enormous - cavernous, even. With a hysterical wall-sized projection TV blasting cheesy concert videos from Italy in the Eighties. And full to the brim with happy dressed-up customers wolfing down the eats. Pricing is reasonable - most certainly not inexpensive. Okay, so: Overall: 4 stars Food: 3 Cocktails: 4 Service: 5 Room: 3 Pricing: 3 We only got to experience DiCicco's due to a disastrous clusterfrack trapping us overnight in DEN (grr). Got a room at an airport business hotel and walked over to this non-chain diamond shining on the prairie . . . and the DiCicco's experience simply swept away our traveller exhaustion and grumpiness - a fact that is remarkable and for which we'll always be grateful. It is not the kind of place we usually go, but if you're trapped nearby, I'd heartily encourage you let DiCicco's make it all better.

My husband and I have passed this place a thousand times. We finally gave it a try. Move over Olive garden and Carrabba's! DiCicco's has a wonderful chicken Marsala dish, that tasted phenomenal. Everything from the house salad, to the fresh vegetables, chicken and pasta tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. The service was excellent. The dining area was huge with three different levels of floors for seating with various tables sizes. The booths feel very private. There is live music & dancing here three or more times a week. A great place to bring family or friends for a nice Italian dinner.

4 years and they're still short employees - so don't ask them to split a lunch check - you're on your own.

First let me say that this place is expensive! A bowl of minestrone soup is $14.25! A tea bag with hot water is $4.25. The bread is too soft almost mushy including the crust and it is not served with olive oil - which would have been a better approach. The Lasagna was good. The place has a stale odor when you walk in. It is odd that they have had an employee shortage since July 2021 [almost 4 years] so they will not split tips - difficult for lunch groups from work. They add a surcharge for using a credit card - so pay cash if it concerns you - they say that there's a sign posted, but I didn't see one posted. Why is this so difficult to split lunch checks? Our server was very good, but they split tips with all "applicable" employees, so don't think that your money is going to your server. What is applicable? Is the management included? I got the impression that while the servers do care, the owners do not. They're located close to hotels/airport so they likely get a lot of out-of-towners walking from the hotel. This place is pretty, but they could do better with their policies, bread, restaurant odor and reduce prices.

I came at lunch to save a little money. There were many signs posted at the front that explained that prices were based on cash prices and a small fee would be charged to any credit card purchases. I should've been more prepared with Cash, but it goes quick when you are traveling. I was greeted by either a manager or the owner who was extremely friendly and welcoming as he walked me to my table. The portion was big enough for 2 people and came with delicious salted butter and warm bread. They were equally amazing. I loved the linguine with shrimp, scallops, and white sauce. I ate all my protein and was full before I even tried the pasta. 4 large shrimp, and 5 medium-sized scallops. Great service and atmosphere. The music was beautiful but watching Andrea Bocelli on a large screen in the dining room was a little strange. I would hope it's something they just do when it's quiet during the day because I feel like it would be a distraction if you were on a date for example.

This place is amazing! The service and wait staff is top tier, the food is excellence and the ambiance of the place is incredible. It feels like i'm dining in italy! I would recommend to anybody in the area to stop by and check it out!

For starters I had the minestrone soup. Very good. For the main I went with the combination Lasagna, Spaghetti (with meatball adder) and Ravioli. The meatballs were delicious and finely ground pork which I like. The ravioli was fantastic. Josh was my server and was prompt, courteous and funny. Tiramisu for dessert was decadent

The food was delicious. Lovely atmosphere. I understand the price the Fettuccine Alfredo, but it could have used more flavor. The Minestrone Soup $4.50 was not included with my meal, and it was a very small cup, maybe 1 1/2 cups? WHAT ASTOUNDED ME WAS THAT THE GARLIC CHEESE BREAD (SEE PHOTO) WAS $17.00!!!! ( Basically almost as much as the Fettuccine Alfredo I HAD NO IDEA IT WAS THAT EXPENSIVE OR I WOULDN'T HAVE. EVEN ORDERED IT. To top it off, I never even got the bread and butter that is supposed to come with your meal. I probably won't be back,

Chicken Parmigiana

This place is huge and uniquely decorated throughout. The service was very good. I really liked the calamari and bruschetta appetizers that we got. I got the chicken parmigiana with a side of chili which was also very tasty. Although the prices were on the more expensive side compared to other Italian restaurants. Although at a certain time, they started to turn up the volume on the background music and it was rock nonetheless so it became much harder to hear each other and converse. Still a good experience but I don't think they should turn on music that loud for dinner.

Our favorite Italian restaurant in Denver! We visit every trip to Denver! The atmosphere is amazing as the food and wine! Delicious large portions of real Italian cuisine! The service was excellent and Madeline provided great food and wine recommendations and better attentive service! The owner came to our table to ensure our dining experience was acceptable! our response was "Madeline was very friendly and the food was excellent!". Highly recommend visiting DiCicco's when you are in Denver or near the airport-go to Tower Road! Rating: 10!

When we visit DiCicco's, we ALWAYS start with the House Salad ($4.95) and their homemade Dressing! The salad is filled with fresh Iceberg lettuce, crisp tomatoes, slivers of red onions, olives, Feta cheese, and croutons. A perfect precursor to an Italian meal!

Can I make Reservations for 6:00 Tonight for 1 person?

You would need to call the restaurant. I do know they are closed on Mondays.

Is this place open? Only a few cars in the parking lot, painted sign is heavily faded and paint is peeling off. All of the windows are painted over. If they are still in business, might be a good idea to paint a different color onto the window "panes

This place is still open. Usually looks empty cause of few cars. Most people I think walk and are local. I only say this because I've gone now several times and looks empty from outside but it gets busy in the inside.

How far from Gaylord Rockies Resort? Do you take reservations?

It is about 5-10 minutes away or 5 miles. I would call and ask if you need to make a reservation based on the number of people in your party.

I feel fortunate because read other reviews here that said it took 2 months to secure a Monday reservation. I recently decided that I am not going to live a gluten free lifestyle even if my 4th cousin from 23andme suggested that everyone on earth is gluten intolerant and there is a global conspiracy to poison us all with gluten ataxia. Starting with the bread, we were already impressed. The texture was perfect, crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. There was another review that said it's not that great. Not sure what that persons problem is. I didn't know what to order so got the pasta rustica, a little marinara some ricotta. I understand from the other reviews that this is American Italian food but worked for me. My partner enjoyed the steak/Gorgonzola pasta. That was tasty too, I had the leftovers the next day! After that bread was brought over so we could dip into the already placed olive oil and vinegar that was on the table prior to sitting. We started with the calamari with was tasty but noticed the breading kept falling off the rings. I kept having to scoop the fallen breading out of the dipping sauce. For entrees, I got the mussels and linguine and my husband got the chicken piccata. Every mussel in my dish had meat in it which was nice but I felt like the overall dish was missing something as it was quite acidic tasting.. maybe some cream? The chicken piccata was pretty good, with mushrooms, artichokes, carrots, broccolini, and capers. My husband doesn't really like mushrooms or artichokes so I had a few bites of those and they were tasty. He said the dish reminded him of "old world piccata" and not the modern dish he was expecting of just chicken, capers, and pasta. But he said he did enjoy it. Service was slow and we did hear the next table have some complaints and their bill was comped. We did wait a bit between each course and for the server to appear for the bill. Overall, Odyssey restaurant was ok. The vibe is very cool as it is a converted home.

We started with the burrata based on Yelp reviews and they weren't wrong. Super fresh tasting, and the focaccia paired with it perfectly. It's an upcharge but worth it, and you aren't at a place like this to pinch pennies anyways. We both chose the rigatoni, we had a heavy lunch, and it was perfect. The sauce was deep and hearty and the pasta was exactly al dente. We split a strawberry guacamole sorbet and glad we did, it was larger than expected and absolutely delicious. Place has the feel of a modern restaurant, very sleek. My only complaint was that we were seated next to a room with a large group and it was hard to hear each other talk, but nothing to be done about that.
