They bait and switched me to get me in door. Wasted 2 hrs of my driving there and back. 2 days later they called me with "deal of the century". They got my numbers where I wanted them BUT they wouldn't tell me what the interest rate was! They actually expected me to sign on a deal without that important info. Basically, they were going to jack up the rate to get kickbacks from bank to make deal work for them. OJ is the salesman I dealt with. I need a shower! Filthy tactics read more

**"Mixed Feelings After 2 Months"** I've had my bike for about 2 months now, and while I love being on two wheels, I can't help but feel like I've been taken for a bit of a ride, both literally and figuratively. For simply getting me on the road, I'll grant you a star. I took the Basic Rider course, which was fantastic, shout out (Nathalie and Frank)--I learned a ton, and the entire staff was super friendly. That part of the experience was great, so I'll grant you another star for this. I initially went into Harley to do the Jumpstart program since I had a class coming up and hadn't been on a bike in years. Of course, I was given the classic salesman runaround, shown a bunch of bikes, and in my eagerness, I ended up falling into buying an XL883N. The bike itself is a great starter bike--the lightweight design makes it easy to handle, and the engine size keeps me from riding outside my abilities while I'm still learning and practicing becoming a better rider. No complaints there. But now that I've had time to reflect, those excessive prep fees are starting to sting a bit. $600 for storage? $999 for prep? Really? What's worse is after waiting a few days to get the bike, I quickly realized that the speedometer was broken, and the bike was leaking oil. So much for all that "prep" I was apparently paying for. While TC and customer service were helpful and did get it fixed within a few days, I'm left wondering what exactly all that prep money went toward. If you're going to charge me close to a grand for prep, maybe at least make sure the bike doesn't have multiple issues right out of the gate? But I will grant another star since the customer service there went with ease. as if that wasn't enough, when I finally got the bike back, it had little to no gas and the oil was basically empty. Keep in mind, I rode it for maybe a mile before realizing the speedometer was broken. So, I'm left with a bike that wasn't prepped, needed more repairs right away, and came back to me running on fumes. I've given myself a couple of months to sit with it and try to chalk it up to "it is what it is," but I can't shake the feeling that I was taken advantage of with these fees. The manager even told me I could trade the bike in for what I paid for it within a year, but with the $1600 in prep and storage fees I had to pay, the shadiness of this whole purchasing experience makes me want to look elsewhere. Plus the absolute bombardment of phone calls, after not picking up a couple times, is annoying, you think you'd get the hint, I'll call if I need to talk to you. Again, everyone was super friendly and helpful, but there's definitely a bit of shadiness lurking beneath the surface that is leaving a bad taste in my mount. read more

Customer service needs to improve. You buy a motorcycle from Harley and spend lots of money on one. You buy T shirt and accessories just for these assholes at this dealership to tell you that they can't help you. I rode my bike from Texas and two bolts were coming loose. I stopped by to buy some T shirts and other stuff there. Since I just needed to tie those boots up. I asked if I could borrow a tool to tighten it up or have someone help me. They flat out said no and to fuck off. I got so mad they I returned 200 dollars worth of stuff that I bought and went to another Harley. It was the guys sitting at service and parts that were the a holes. read more

I Called Desert Wind Harley looking for a Heritage. Taylee in sales assured me they had six, 2024's in stock. I explained that I was driving 90 minutes to get there and Taylee assured that she was "looking" at them and even listed the colors. So I made the drive and when I arrived I was greeted by someone who told me that Taylee was unavailable. Really... a sales person who was unavailable ??? Then I realized that I had been lied to just to get me in the dealership. After walking the entire dealership with another salesman looking for something that wasn't there, He finally told me the truth. The bikes were not there and they never were. At this point I asked to speak the sales manager. I was taken to Shawn Robinson. He was noticeably angered and he made it clear that he didn't want to hear about my experience. Shawn was short, rude and continually interrupted me. Shawn then said "if you get upset looking at motorcycles then you shouldn't own one. Shawn heard nothing I said. Nor did he care about the way I was treated. He never offered a solution or apologize. Mr. Robinson, I have purchased two Harley's from you in the past five years. I drove 90 minutes to buy my third. Never again. read more

Poor customer service - no one there can answer the phone when you call in, I tried the service dept 3 times and the operator once phone rang for over 3 minutes then it drops the call don't even get a chance to leave a message it just hangs up on you. I decided to take a riding course and choosing Desert Wind Harley Davidson was the best decision in my book! Before starting I was given a tour of the dealership by Bobby! He showed me around and got me hyped for my class by teaching me basics on their simulator. Bobby also took time to seat me in as many bikes as I wanted to get an idea of what to look for in choosing a bike that best fits me! He was so vibrant and made me feel like part of the family. I would sign up again just for the experience and the way I was celebrated. The course is well organized and I was set up for success with updates and important info before I started! My course instructors Ken and Chelsea were an absolute joy and very informative. While you learn at an appropriate pace they pay close attention to ways each individual can better perfect their skill and really fine tune you to be an excellent rider. I felt very comfortable, confident and encouraged the entire time with their guidance! In reality I was so sad it was over, it was such a great experience! read more

Desert Wind always have their sales for full with whatever you might want. I saw a El Diablo sitting on the sales floor for sale. Wow! So many options in clothes, accessories, parts, and Harley-Davidson memorabilia. Blows me away every time I visit. My friend had to get service on his Harley he bought here. A riders training course is fantastic, because so many people want to learn. read more

Purchased another HD motorcycle from this store (my second) - this time a lightly used Fat Bob. Traded in a newer SG ST and I got the Fat Bob and $$ in return. They probably got the better end of the deal, but I'm happy. Recently I had to take the FB in to have the check engine light cleared and the service advisor did that for free and showed me how to do it my self - it turned out to be a low voltage code caused by the bike sitting for a few days and the cool weather - slow starting issue. Anyway, I appreciated the quick response and personal attention shown to me. Thanks DWHD for a good experience. read more

Worse experience with a bike! They tried to sell me a bike that they couldn't start (bad battery), dirty as hell, bad/old tires, rusty ass pipes, worn handgrips, and leaky fork seals for $18K. They told me they would replace the tires, the battery, and the handgrips. But once I talked to the parts manager, he told me the dealership wouldn't buy the handgrips and that I would pay for it myself even if they told me it was included, and that I was better off putting in my own fork seals with a third party manufacturer (a good man!). Once I realized how bad it was, I talked them down to $12K. However, the delivery driver upon delivering the bike told me the truth about the bike and said I got ripped off. He told me I should've taken the bike for only $9K in his estimation because it had been sitting in a repo yard. I wish they were honest with me. They charged up the butthole for customer service fees and only offered water. For how much they charged, they should've bought me lunch and a beer at least! Since I live on the Indian reservation, I should've had my registration fees waived but they charged me for that shiz as well. It's the wannabe tough bald dude with a goatee who did all that! I even showed him my old contract that I did with Legends Harley to show him they were overcharging me. He didn't seem to care because they knew there were ripping me off. Above all, I'm a dumbass for buying here! Never again will I go here and I'm making sure none of my friends go here! It's stupidly ridiculous! Shout out to the parts manager and the delivery guy for being completely honest. It sucks Harley has become a part of the corporation machine that only want to suck you dry and take advantage. The sales person who helped me was courteous but I'm convinced he doesn't know any better. I don't think It's his fault. I'm sure he's a sucker just like me. Desert Wind Harley sucks! read more

Yvonne and TC are absolutely amazing and have the most outstanding customer service. Highly recommend.

TC kept his word and issue has been resolved. Thanks to TC and Desert Winds Harley for correcting the problem.

I have to say, purchasing a bike from DW was a great experience! I worked with Ray to purchase my 2020 Road Glide special patriot. I had the family with me and he was fantastic with the kids! One of the best parts of working with him was bringing him back a Coca Cola... you have to meet him and ask about it! HAHA Working with Carlos to pick all the added parts was an amazing experience as well! He took his time to help me pick all the right parts to have added to the bike pre-delivery. He kept me updated as items came in and was excited with me as it was getting closer to completion! I feel he knows my bike up and down at this point! HAHA! Great team to work with at Desert Wind H-D! read more

Terrible ...buyers be ware... if you decide to sell it or " pay it off early which @ 13 % interest you should, then the nightmare begins. the finance dept, extended warrantee, gap insurance, and the dealership all pass the buck around and don't communicate with one another so if you want to get bike paid off takes 2 weeks to clear they're process to get title, which gets sent to ADOT and not you the owner. if you decide to sell it then have to call multiple numbers to get credit back for the extended warranty and gap insurance, then you find out that 3K non refundable .. Terrible business practices and no way to treat bikers...READ the fine print.... I don't usually give 5 stars... especially for a random Harley dealership! So, I'm riding to AZ bike week from San Diego, and my motor broke down in Mesa, after a 3 hours highway ride (failing oil pump / sumping leading to cam damage etc... My motor almost seized). I was quite upset (make sure you read my review of BIGGS Harley Davidson in San Marcos, CA to understand why I was so very upset...) but lucky enough to be welcomed and taken care of right away on a Thursday later afternoon (about 30 mins before closing time). The service representative (John aka "JJ") took care of me right away (and remember, it was during AZ bike week...), had a technician come and take a listen at my motor immediately. Blake, the technician, confirmed that there was a serious issue and recommended me not to ride any further. I left my bike and ubered to my hotel. They took care of my bike the day after, first thing in the morning! Opened my motor and confirmed the damage. They were so friendly going though all details with me, showing me used/worn off parts, explaining the rebuild process and helping me to deal with HD warranty and my "local" dealership in San Marcos. Blake is clearly an extremely competent technician who loves building motors. I trusted him right away (I've been riding *a lot* for the past 25 years...) They got my bike built back within 2 days after receiving all parts (HD corporate were the ones slowing down the process, it took about 2 weeks before they could rebuilt my motor). I am so happy with the service and the treatment I received. No other dealership made me feel more welcomed, no one else has ever been so helpful and friendly. I got my motorcycle back after 3 weeks (had to be shipped back to California). The bike feels good, sounds good. They've done a superb job, and provided an amazing support. TWO THUMBS UP for JJ and Blake. read more

I tried multiple times and multiple different ways of asking questions before buying a new Street Bob. It was like pulling teeth to get email responses or returns to phone calls. I showed up at the dealership right when they opened on sat mornings twice and it was annoying to say the least. Nobody was interested in selling me a new bike. They always pushed for a used bike they had in inventory. At one point i almost settled on a dead wood green street bob 114 they had in stock ( had a few upgrades that werent really my thing, but whatever) The sales guy went to get info on the bike and never came back. I found him 15min later helping a different customer. I picked up my daughter and we left. My friend bought a blue street bob from desert wind a few weeks before this and he had similar issues getting help buying a new bike but stuck it out with them because they had what he wanted in stock. read more

Regarding the Riding Academy, Albert, Frank, and Mark were awesome coaches and my time learning from them was very pleasant. Mark Weiss and his Riding Academy coaches at Harley Davidson are amazing AND PATIENT! Worked with Ken and Andy and Mark in the New Riders course and they got me from a complete newbie who could just put on a helmet and who only sat on the back of a bike to learning the components of how to start a motorcycle, learn the workings of braking, throttle, clutch, riding with others, as well as learning how and practicing life saving safety maneuvering, riding in rain conditions and of course, wanting my own motorcycle. . Our days were split between classroom education and actual hands on on the bike riding. The level of education was in-depth, not only as a rider on a motorcycle but it made me evaluate myself as a driver as well. I'd be very interested in taking further classes forum Desert Wind. Also had a good experience with Mike in sales as he showed me how to use the jump start bike and we talked about potential motorcycles I'd want. I've been buying things from this shop for over a year, and the clerks have always been nice. read more

Great team at Desert Wind HD. Bought a 2022 Road Glide Limited yesterday and the experience was top notch. My sales guy, Jerry, was very knowledgeable and patient. I never felt pressured, and Jerry made sure that my family and I were comfortable while going through the process. Amir in financing went all in to work me a deal to get me on my bike. He did not over promise and was up front about my options. Joseph in service was another rock star. His team took car of transferring parts from my old bike to the new one and got it done while I was there. The ladies in clothing were great as well. Smiles galore and very attentive to my needs while working with them. All in all, the experience Desert Wind HD was pleasing. They have a great team that is friendly and professional. STAY AWAY!!! Just got my bike back after an A-Clean. Took them 5 days to disclose that they "found damage" after they cleaned it. It's a crack in the saddle bag that goes all the way through. In a nutshell, since I can't prove that it wasn't there, it's on me. But according to the service writer, I can use some flex seal to fix the damage. I still have some prepaid services there but will write them off as a loss because it's not worth risking more issues. read more

Kimberly Case is awesome at being the Motorclothes Manager. Every time I've needed extra help with finding or getting an item that Harley carries but I couldn't find, she did for me! She ordered a purple vest I wanted and stayed on top of the order until it came in. I love it. She also took care of some glasses that my Husband had been trying to get.
