Came here for a new set of grips for my 2014 Street Glide, and found them pretty quickly. The guy working in parts was helpful and made sure I was getting the right fitment for my bike. He noticed that I was a veteran and gave me 10% off without me even asking. (I probably wouldn't have asked, so I appreciate that). I've been here before for a shirt (gotta have one for everywhere I've been) and the staff over there was helpful as well. Every Harley Davidson dealership is like this but dosent mean it's anywhere near good. I call to set up an oil change and some work on the breaks and they hang up on me after ringing forever. Then I call back again and after ringing through the service the receptionist answers and you could hear the disdain in her voice like I just asked for her going rate when I asked to schedule an oil change with service. So over this dying brand. The attract the cringiest people. What a joke. Glad to see this ship going down. read more

My bike had an issue with the fuel- I was in the far west valley. I called desert wind- they were ready to send a tow truck for me, and my bike- I'm in the tow business myself so I took care of it. I made this punches two weeks ago and it is still setting at the dealership because they sold me a broken bike with out me knowing. the general manager told me I will get my bike when I get my bike I asked to refund my money and give me my old bike back and he told me no. it's not his problem and when I get the one I punched I get it he don't have to make anything right with me at all. he would not even say sorry for the inconvenience or do anything to try and make things right with me. this was just a slap in the face by a Harley dealer they don't care about customer happines. read more

Avoid Desert Wind Harley-Davidson - Learn From My Mistake I wanted to give Desert Wind Harley-Davidson every opportunity to make things right before sharing my experience publicly. I reached out multiple times, explained my concerns in detail, and waited patiently for a response. They never even acknowledged me. As a first-time buyer, I walked into Desert Wind expecting some level of guidance and transparency. Instead, I was rushed into an overpriced deal on a used bike without being given a fair chance to explore other options. I later realized I had been pushed into a six-year loan for a bike that originally retailed for less than what I'm paying now--even though I was told I "wouldn't qualify" for anything else. To make matters worse, the purchase happened at night, even past closing. At the time, I was just excited to finally have a Harley of my own, but in the daylight, I immediately noticed multiple gashes in the paint--damage I hadn't seen the night before. After looking closer, it was clear the bike had been dropped. When I test rode it, the problems became even more obvious. Over time, it became clear that the drop and neglect from the previous owner had caused lasting issues--problems that were already there when I bought it and in no way could have happened in the short time I owned it. Despite all this, I've done my best to take great care of my first bike. I have never come close to laying it down and have treated it with the respect it deserved. This bike was meant to mean so much more to me, and I've worked hard to maintain it. But the underlying issues from the dealership's lack of transparency made that impossible from the start. When I went back to talk about my concerns, I spoke with Brent, the sales manager, who had previously reassured riders that "they would take care of them." Suddenly, he had no interest in helping me. Instead of professionalism, I got condescension and a shrug, with a response that basically amounted to: "It's your problem now." Later, when I spoke with TC, the so-called customer relations specialist, I was met with the same dismissive attitude. Instead of addressing the real concerns, he acted like the damage wasn't even there--until another employee, Carlos U., immediately confirmed, "Oh yeah, it's been dropped." After talking to other riders, I realized I wasn't alone. I've met multiple people with horror stories about this dealership--one who claimed they were knowingly sold a lemon that later led to an accident, another who said they were pressured into buying a bike they didn't even want. A quick look at BBB ratings and online reviews only confirmed what I had already heard firsthand. What really sealed it for me was reaching out to multiple other dealerships--and the difference was night and day. Every dealership I spoke to was happy to answer my questions, some even apologizing on behalf of Desert Wind for how I was treated. They took the time to discuss possible solutions and actually made me feel like a valued customer. In just a few conversations, they showed the kind of respect and professionalism that Desert Wind never did. If you're thinking about buying a bike, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. There are dealerships out there that care about their customers, stand behind their sales, and don't treat first-time buyers like easy targets. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Desert Wind Harley-Davidson. I found a bike listed for sale on their website and came into the dealership, only to be told the bike had been sold weeks ago. There was no update to their listings, no communication, and a complete waste of my time. A dealership of this size should maintain accurate inventory and remove sold listings promptly--especially when customers are traveling in or making serious inquiries. I've had a relationship with the Desert Wind Service/Parts Departments through three different motorcycles over a 10 year period. When you walk through the door you are treated like family as the staff recognize you and your machine. Scheduling service is easy and updates are provided by text. Riding is a big part of our life. My wife and I ride about 12,000 miles annually and we depend on the staff at the Desert Wind Service Department to maintain our motorcycle in good running order. When I receive my machine after a service, I am confident that it has had the best technical care and attention possible...our lives depend on it. Additionally, it's always a pleasure to ride away from a Desert Wind service on a finely detailed motorcycle. The Desert Wind Service/Parts Departments have been incredibly responsive to the many mechanical and technical issues I've encountered over the years. They have given 110% to make those issues right. In over a decade of service, I have experienced difficulties with aftermarket manufacturers and warrantee problems with Big Harley Davidson but Desert Wind has ALWAYS stood by my side and made things right. The Desert Wind staff have an old-school customer service ethos that is difficult to find anymore. As long as I ride, I'll continue to patronize Desert Wind. It has been a genuine pleasure working with the Desert Wind Service Manager, Service Writers, Parts Associates, Technicians and Lot Porters. Just finished my BRC with DWHD a few days ago. Although I failed the exam, that is no way the fault of the course or instructors. Rider coach Doug and assistant/guest rider coach Joseph were phenomenal: patient, comprehensive, thorough, and answered any clarifying questions I had. I will mention I did this course on the fly with no proficiency in bicycle riding and no prior riding experience, except as passenger. Knowing how to bike is one thing. Proficiency is something else. You should be bicycle proficient prior to starting to this course, IMHO. I love how much safety is emphasized here, without compromising technical skill teachings. I plan to retake the test in a but, after a few weeks on a regular bike. read more

Absolutely terrible experience at Desert Winds Harley-Davidson. If I could give zero stars, I would. This dealership engages in deceptive financing practices, and their General Manager and finance team are completely inconsiderate, malicious, and for lack of better words outright assholes. I was approved for financing under certain terms, but when it came time to sign, the numbers were changed--higher down payment, lower loan amount, and an interest rate that didn't match what I was originally shown. They packed payments and misrepresented the financing terms, all while acting like it was completely normal. When I called the GM to dispute it, his response was basically, "Too bad, the loan is funded, nothing we can do." No accountability, no ethics, just deflecting blame and pretending they did nothing wrong. On top of all that, they even charged me for shipping on a used bike they took in on trade. Who does that?! I haven't even taken delivery of the bike yet, and they're already acting like they've washed their hands of the situation. KEEP IN MIND I HAVEN"T EVEN TAKEN DELIVERY OF THE BIKE YET! Stay far away from this dealership unless you want to get screwed over. Their business practices are shady at best, and they have zero integrity. I was unfortunate enough to be sucked in by the charm of becoming a new rider and finally having my own bike. Even when I have a child on the way and can not afford the bike they wouldn't allow me to return it. Let alone purchase it back for a reasonable price after making money on me already. Don't bother with this dealership they dont want to sells bikes. Twice I have gone in to buy a motorcycle and both times it was a crappy situation. The first time the sales person said they just got a bike in that would be great for me. I was curious and told them to let go see it and it was in the back in a where house. I asked him was there anything wrong with the bike and he said " it's in perfect condition". However, when I did see the bike I notice there was scratches on the side of the right side brake handle, and on the foot pedal and not to mention the dent on the gas can. This is when I first realized that the sales person was shady so I left. A few months later I decided to give them another chance and I was nearby so I went in and looked around. This was a mistake since I explained what I was looking and automatically the sales person steered me over to the newer bikes that were over 10,000 more than I wanted to spend. I explained that to him but he said you can finance the bike. This was another red flag so I told him let me go get my wallet and left. I will just go to a dealership who listens to their customers and not what they think a person should pay. This place is shady and should be closed down in my opinion. read more

Once the sale is over, so is the service. I was sold a motorcycle that did not have all of its required documentation. Just shy of two months from the sale and cannot obtain a proper registration. It seems that they forgot they needed a manufacturer's certificate of origin. Who knew you could sell without all of the required documents. This is why you are given the surveys before the problems rear their ugly heads. I should have known the day of the sale, none of the finance equipment would work properly. This translated in my deposit being run as credit and a percentage was added. Then the printer refused to work and we sat for an additional forty five minutes to get signed. All in all the experience has been frustrating and a good lesson. If theres something wrong after the initial sale, it will be your problem to handle with phone calls and texts that are pure lip service. read more

Beware of Predatory Sales Tactics and Shady Financing! I'm extremely disappointed with Desert Wind Harley-Davidson. They took complete advantage of my 21-year-old son, using payment packing and changing all the numbers when he was taken back to finance. To top it off they priced the Harley $1,500 over fair market value and tacked on an outrageous recon charge, as well as an inflated interest rate despite a 680 credit score, which should have qualified for much better terms. When we realized the unfair deal, we immediately asked them to unwind it or at least buy back their own product, which never even left their showroom floor--but they outright refused. This kind of shady business practice is unacceptable. If you're looking for a fair and honest dealership, go somewhere else because this place only cares about squeezing every penny out of you.
