I live in Apache Junction, after reading reviews I decided to give this Tempe location a try. They truly went out of their way to make sure that I was happy. I went there to install new crash guards and fix my sound system; I walked out spending almost $1,000 for items that were critical to my survival and the bikes...items that would have cost me much more if I waited any longer. They found things while installing the guard that needed to be changed. The air filter (an expensive part ANYWHERE) hadn't been changed in 16 years and was choking the bike, they showed me the once green now black filter, the brake fluid had never been flushed in 75,000 miles (21 years), the brake pads were worn down almost to the metal, (they showed me). My 2003 Goldwing looked new, so these were parts I never even thought about (I was always checking the oil and tires) - but I am GLAD they did! This was my 20-year anniversary for my bike and I am glad I made the decision to go to D&D because they did excellent work. They also went above and beyond by checking my speaker wire, making some changes so the back sounds better, and replacing some rubber washers complimentary. Purchasing and installing crash guards, repairing wiring on sound system, replacing air filer, checking battery connections, removing inside cardboard cover on rear speaker that was distorting the sound (sounds great now), replacing brake pads, and flushing out brake lines. Terrible experience. My dad, 2 buddies and I have used discount repair for some time. Never had issues and they say they stand behind their work. This is definitely not the case as they had a job to replace my wheels sleeves and add new bearing for both wheels. They ended up doing fine on the front but blew out the entire supporting ring for the bearing on the back of the tire. They had me wait over a week saying they would "fix it" FALSE. They welded my bearing and sleeve in the wheel so it wouldn't wobble and now doesn't spin at all. They completely jacked my wheel up and didn't stand behind their work. STAY AWAY. read more

I have been going to D&D for over a decade now. I've seen all the good reviews and ratings so didn't hesitate to take my Goldwing to them. Normally over the years it as just tires and oil changes. But the last few years the old 1990 Goldwing SE was showing her age. I debated upgrading but I'm close to retirement and thought I'd put money into her as she's been a good bike. Here's been my experience over the last few years; 1) Front fork seals went bad and leaked all over the forks and brakes. I asked they fix the fork seals and replace the oil soaked brake pads. I got the bike back, drove it home, and the new pads were getting oil on them as they did not clean off ANY of the oil on the front forks, plastic fairings, etc... 2) I had my rear tire replaced and when I got home I found many of the clips that join the trim missing. I called the shop the next day and they said to check the bags, sometimes the mechanics put them in there so they don't get lost. I found them and put the clips back on. While under the bike checking things I found the fiberglass saddle bag mounting holes were cracked and now a small hole leads into one of the bags. I could prove when it happened so just let it go. 3) I could hear a clunk in the rear so took it in to have them check it out. They found the rear shaft & U-joint bad, a bad bearing in the timing belt pulley, and a leaking shifter seal. I confirmed I could hear a bearing in the front so authorized the work. It was very expensive (over $1500) but didn't want payments on a newer bike. When I drove the bike home it felt "funny". Rear brake seemed to make strange noises and the ride was different. AND when I would decelerate I heard something from the transmission that sounded like a strange rattle??? Once home I found there was no air in the suspension, ZERO. I pumped it up and it felt fine BUT the tranny/engine rattle was still there. I took the bike back and they said it was a common noise from a bent gear shifter, it happens when someone misses a shift. Well, I've never missed a shift and it never made that noise before! They simply blew it off. 4) 5 days later I notice a large puddle of oil on the rear end and the ground. I assumed it was the rear end work they did and took the bike back. They inspected and said it was the rear air shocks. They couldn't get me in right away so one week later they replaced the air shocks. I picked it up the next day and this time checked the air suspension before leaving, sure enough it was ZERO again! I'm sure riding this with 0 air pressure caused the initial failure. I went back in to the shop to show them the 0 air pressure and they then tell me they replaced the airshocks with standard spring shocks! :-0 So now I've lost my air ride suspension and paid over $500 for that without even given the chance to decide if I want to lose air ride??? So now I've lost my air suspension, have a damaged side bag with a hole, a suspension that sux, and strange rattle that is getting worse from the engine/tranny! I've now noticed that if the bike is in gear I cannot roll it backwards even with the clutch pulled in! I've always been able to do that. Sorry for the long story but all these repairs have occurred in the last few years and I will now be driving past D&D on my way to Scottsdale Honda I guess? I recently bought a used Honda PCX 150 scooter from OfferUp. The only history I had on the bike was what the seller told me. There were no paperwork or maintenance records. After searching and calling multiple motorcycle shops that refused to work on my Honda scooter, I found D&D through Yelp. I wanted an honest, low cost motorcycle repair shop to say yes to my scooter repair and go through the bike and make sure it has everything it needs... but nothing more! Right from the start I had a great impression about this business. When I arrived, I was greeted by a man behind the counter named Mark. He was very friendly, and knowledgeable and said YES to my repair. I got the sense that I could trust him right away, which turned out to be true. I started with a safety inspection and oil change on my Honda. Through the inspection, the mechanic identified a few things that needed to be done. Nothing major. I Scheduled an appointment for front brakes, new front tire, air filter and a couple other parts needed. The shop priced everything very well, and had the bike done and ready on time or early from both appointments. I'm thankful to Yelp for helping a guy like me (new to the area) find a shop like this! Over the years I have owned several vintage BMW and Honda motorcycles, and this place has always been my go-to spot for the Hondas. The staff here have been helpful helping me find parts, and the mechanics have done work on several of my bikes. I work on my own BMW, so I am not sure if they would service a vintage BMW or not. What a great find, woke up ready to take the wing for a few day ride to Colorado with some friends. Got about 100 feet and low rear tire pressure came on. Found a nail. Called western Honda in Scottsdale and they were slammed. Could maybe get me in but would be later. Josh the service manager recommended and even called Eric at d and d. These guys are phenomenal! They fixed my motorcycle and I paid out of pocket and they did exactly what I told them; fix the bare minimum to get it back on the street and street-legal. They delivered right on time and I paid a little more than the estimate that they had given me. I would rather drive 40 minutes to come here to have them work on my Goldwing then drive the 10 minutes it would take me to get to ridenow sports. The shop was full of Goldwing accessories. After the diagnostic, they gave me a call for my approval before they did any work. They then topped off my fluids, cleaned and lubricated my chain complimentary. I have taken my 2015 Honda Shadow to them for add-ons & oil changes & now I'm taking my 2014 Sportster to them. They turned my Sportster into a trike & installed different handlebars because stock ones didn't work. Mark (the owner) helped me negotiate a great deal on the Sportster & when the trike kit came in, he came to my house to pick up the Sportster & take it to the shop. I feel taken advantage of. They charged me full price for work they couldn't perform. I'm a first time bike owner and I wanted to get some things installed on my bike. They gave me a quote and said they could install my out of market parts for me. 3 days later they said they could only do part of the installation because the blinkers were incompatible with the bike. They charged me full price for the work even though they installed non working blinkers on my bike and claimed it took them several hours more than they expected. I get that, but if that's the case don't give me a quote for time and labor in the first place. They said they "worked" all day on it, but that's still not an excuse. I asked them if they were willing to meet me halfway or give me a discount. Charges were over $500 for a tire install, pegs, and broken blinkers and two other things that didn't even get installed. They were unwilling to make a comprise with a new customer and did not communicate the issues ahead of time and took a risk that left a bitter taste in my mouth. I do not recommend. Also no one wears masks during pandemic if that matters to others. read more

I recently had been directed to D & D Discount Motorcycles because I was looking for an honest shop with reasonable prices and respect. Since this COVID thing I believe that the thing hurt the most is customer service. Well not here. As soon as I walked in the door I knew I was finally at the right shop. I asked for tires. The gentleman gave me three options, plus pricing on the labor. All upfront and on the table. The only thing not upfront was the valve stems. Which were of little cost and to me was a given. Of course I would of bought the permanent valve stems. I picked up my bike just as told it would be done. It was done!!! No if's, and's or but's. DONE!!! Plus it did not have any new scratches on it. I will highly recommend these guys to anyone and will say that respect, courteous, and professional are what they are. Great jobs Guys! I will be back. Thanks again! Oh and the tires are awesome. The Best Honda Goldwing shop I have found in town. They stock quiet a bit of GW stuff. Friendly staff. They replaced my stearing head bearings. Similar prices as other shops. All of the fork bolts sheared off from being over torqued within a week. I took it back and they made it right and gave me a $20 gift card for the trouble. Nobody is perfect but these guys make it right. read more

I knew I had a couple thousand miles left on my front tire, but did not want to try to change it on the road. My plan was to wait until the last minute to get as many miles off the old tire as possible, but while I was there yesterday, I figured, I'd ask if they could fit me in for a front tire and new breaks. These guys were very helpful. I drove way out of my way because I heard they had a good rep. I dropped off my bike because I've been having electrical problems. They told me my stator was shot and need to be replaced. Only problem they couldn't work on my bike. Paid $75 for them to tell me this. Went to Kawasaki and found out it wasn't the stator it was the headlamp switch that was killing my bike. Just want to say thanks guys for taking my money and having me drive 60 miles out of my way and buying the wrong part. read more

D&D has done great work for me in the past and this may be just a one time screw up. But it was a really dangerous one. Rode my 2014 Harley home from D&D, parked it in the garage and went out for awhile. The inside of my house was full of gasoline fumes when I got back. I opened the windows and doors and went to find the source of the fumes. They were strongest in the garage and there was a puddle of gas under my Harley. The quick disconnect fitting on my Harley's gas tank was leaking a small but steady stream! I disconnected it and saw that the o-ring in the male end was completely shot. Mark at D&D said the guys in the shop removed the gas from the top of the tank and did not touch the quick disconnect fitting. Mark also said o-rings crack when a bike sits for years. Which seems more likely to you? A shop guy used Harley's quick disconnect to drain gas from the tank and reconnected it without checking the o-ring? Or a shop guy siphoned gas from the top of the tank, never touched the quick disconnect, and coincidentally the quick disconnect started leaking? This morning I checked the jeans I wore when I rode my bike home from D&D and the left knee and thigh area smell like gas so the quick disconnect apparently was leaking when I rode my bike home. I'm just lucky I have an electric water heater or my whole house might have blown up. read more
