I'm really not sure why but I sometimes stray to a different shop for work to be done on my bikes Maybe it's timing, maybe it's when I need something and when a place is open, maybe it's how fast I need something (like a tire?), who knows. But I truly have to stop. I always find my way back to Independant. Bob, Mike, (and to be honest) every person that's ever worked here have always been like brothers and sisters. They truly take care of their customers like they have known them for years. I like to do a lot of my own stuff but when there's something I'm not comfortable with because maybe I've never tried it, I know I can depend on these folks to give me the absolute BEST price, and the absolute BEST work with no bullshit! If you ride, and you're in the east valley, this is the place to come. If you ride and you're in the west valley, it's worth the ride or drive (if you have to trailer your bike) and this is still the place to come. read more

** DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE ! ** BIKE WILL SIT FOR 5 MONTHS WITH NO PROGRESS, NO COMMUNICATION, AND EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE! Interesting to see upon reading reviews from YEARS ago that multiple other people experienced the SAME exact scenario we did. Dropped our bike off before Thanksgiving to get work done. Paid the $2000 up front for parts after waiting almost 2 months just to get a quote. The holidays went by and we still didn't hear anything...reached out and "oh we would have ordered the parts but they're busy at bike week!" Lame excuse but alright... wait another few weeks... any progress now? No--you call, they have no answers other than oops we still haven't done it sorry! You ask for the owner and he's too busy to talk on the phone and too busy to talk in person. They told us the parts our bike needed were going to need sourced from out of state. In the 5 months they had our bike they didn't order a single part for it. No more than 10 minutes after we picked up the bike we were able to locate and order pistons from kansas for $400, whereas the ones they were "ordering" were $850 from Rhode Island. When we came to pick our bike up they gave us a sob story about how they can't give us any of our money back because they're "about to close our doors" due to lack of $, we had to use it as "store credit"--so maybe don't entrust them with your business since they plan to close up shop anyhow. Brought in my bike as it sat for almost 2yrs. I needed new tires, battery and spark plugs to get it back up n running. Service was quick, friendly and communication was great as I was kept updated on all ongoings before any repairs or changes done. Went there on a friend's recommendation to get a brake light switch replaced. I was told they'd have to order the part so I gave a deposit on my credit card. 2 weeks later I hadn't heard anything so I went in to check and was told the part showed delivered so he checked the parts shelf and couldn't find it. Said he would put a trace on it and order another if it wasn't found. Another 2 weeks go by so I called for an update. The person answering the phone said he didn't know anything about it but the guy that was "helping " me was out test riding a bike and he'd have him call me when he returned. Of course that didn't happen. Guess the didn't want/need my business so I won't bother them again. The negative reviews I read are accurate. read more

The mechanic did an excellent job on my bike, but the big guy behind the counter could learn a few people skills. He is big and tall and tends to come across as a bully. Several times he told me my bike was going to be worked on and it wasn't. Eventually,it was done and I am happy with the service, but, they need more bodies working on the bikes and someone else helping customers. This shop has the potential to be great. read more

Not a big fan of this place. The owner is not a very nice person and doesn't have great customer service skills. I was hoping to go somewhere other than Chandler Harley but I guess you get what you pay for. I would not be recommending or taking my bike there again. I am incredibly pleased with this shop. I brought my Vstorm in a few months ago to get the front fork seals redone because of some leaking. Everything was fine until an extremely hard trail in Prescott caused another leak. I brought it in again and it was the bearings this time. Either they thought they should have done these previously with the seals or a patriotic whim because of my Purple Heart plate I wasn't charged for the service. They have definitely earned a customer for life with me. read more

AVOID!!! AVOID!!!!,AVID THIS PLACE AT ALL COAST!!!!! They get 0 stars. Their productivity is A JOKE! 1st chance. I first took my Softail in back in January of this year. What should have been a few days took them about a month. All I wanted was for them to do was to inspect my motorcycle and fix a flat. I went on vacation for two weeks, and by the time I got back, they still were not done with the bike. I didn't get the bike back two weeks after I got back from vacation. 2nd chance, Next, I took in my bike for a few leaks. They told me I needed a new engine. So I decided to invest in a new one. But the whole process took them about two months to complete. Every time they looked at my bike, It took them a week to order parts, and they did it one part at a time. Meaning they didn't put in the proper attention and time to gather everything at once. I saw other people turn in their bikes for maintenance for the lesser issue, and they put those other bikes before mine. I would call for updates on when the shop would finish the job, and they would have some excuse for not doing it. Again, two months it took them to complete. Third and final attempt. My battery was not charging. I turned in my bike to see why the battery would not charge. They told me that some of the staff were sick and wouldn't see my bike right away. Thinking a few days it would take, I was okay with this. However, I didn't look at my bike for two weeks. When they told me I needed a battery coil. It took them another week to order the part. The first part they received was the wrong one. At this time, my bike was sitting there for three weeks. They told me the new part was on its way and it would take another week to arrive. I told them they had one more week left to complete. I had enough of waiting for their slow productivity, and I gave them a deadline. I informed them a week in advance that I would be coming for the bike on a Saturday, finished or not. I called the shop every other day checking on the tracking of the part, and they kept saying it was arriving in this week shipment. Every time I called, they said it still hadn't arrived. In other words, more excuses. The Saturday came when I said I would pick up my bike. I gave them till the end of the day. Unfortunately, I received no call letting me know the status. I called them to let them know I'm coming to pick up my bike. They were upset and didn't like that I did this. When I picked up my bike, they were rude and unprofessional and used profanity in the conversation. They told me that they didn't want to serve my bike anymore. I spent more than $7000 on theirs hope only to be mistreated. On a side note. Every time I got my bike back. Something would fail, and I would get stuck on the side of the road. It was always related to the maintenance they worked on. 100% is this shop the worst I ever experience. I can't stress enough to avoid the place at all coast. About the only thing, they are reliable is an oil change. AVOID!!!!! AVOID!!!! AVOID!!!!! read more

This place did a good job putting new tires on my motorcycle! Nothing negative about the place but nothing amazing about it either. Just feel like they should be a little bit nicer on spreading some motorcycle knowledge. I asked a couple questions about services and made me feel dumb. Also, I was promised the next day and then it took them 3 days to switch my new tires. It's fine like Whatever. I would just have liked a heads up or an update on what's going on. Took my bike in for a carborator rebuild and cleaning. Starting spewing fuel on my way out of the parking lot. Took it back in and once again on my way out of the parking lot starting spewing fuel. Their reply was "oh well, guess you need a new carborator" I already paid for a rebuild that didn't make it out of the parking lot, now I need to pay again for a new carborator? Hmmmmm? Guess it pays to have HD work on my bike going forward. Too many bike shops to treat customers poorly. read more

Complete waste of money. Pay them to relocate my rear turn signals and attach a docking system for a detachable backrest. And adjust my progressive shocks. So this is what I get, they relocated my turning signals but not back far enough to give the docking system enough room, the right turn signal never worked that docking system was so unaligned that the detachable backrest would not go on and off it was permanent. I asked them if they adjusted my shocks he told me they were on a justable which was a complete lie. By the time I got home one turn signal doesn't work and I was worse off than before I went there and out $500 you. I guess I could have took it back but I did not want them to text my back again so I took it to Johnny Goodson Arizona Custom Cycles. They did an awesome job hold the turn signals back made them permanent to where they were not loose and they work great my docking system was so unaligned that they cracked it so I had to purchase a new docking system. Johnny said I had about the best shocks you can buy they were adjustable intention and ride height so to say that they were on adjustable was a complete lie. Johnny Goodson Arizona Cycles that's where you want to go even if you have to drive out of your way it's worth it. Convenience should not be a factor when working on your bike. The repairs were ok even if they were slow. Beyond that, everything was wrong and the business has taken no steps to correct the situation. My invoice had increased hourly rates (80 to 110 an hour), increased part prices, double billing for same items, billing for services/items not provided, unreasonable labor times (1 hour at 110 an hour for replacing Derby Cover), they don't handle anything that should be handled with insurance, and won't respond to anything concerning these issues.
