On Saturday, January 30th my family and I made a visit to your Concord location. As we walked in, we noticed that there was a young girl working by herself. The line was long and she had no support. As we were standing in line, we noticed that there is a gelato location directly across the street from Cream. We were going to leave Cream and get some gelato from the business across the street because the line inside Cream was long and there was only one girl working. I asked the young girl who was working if she was alone and said she "yes". We offered to help the girl scoop ice cream that way she has some assistance, and she thanked us for the offer and said that this happens often. Hearing that we wanted to leave; however, my brother recommended that we just stay in Cream instead of leaving, that way we can give the girl working a pretty good tip for all that she is doing alone. I am very disappointed with the way Cream had this young girl working alone with no support. Not only can we see how demanding it was for her, but she was all alone. There's a safety aspect to the whole situation. Recently, a young girl in Southern California lost her life because she was working alone in a furniture store, and to see this girl alone was terrible. We can't assume that "it's a safe area" when any "safe area" has its share of bad things happening. There are numerous less fortunate people walking around the area and hanging around by Cream. The tip jar is easily visible by the register, and anyone with bad intentions can run off with it. The young girl working is easily exposed behind the counter and there is no way she can be protected. Nobody, especially a young girl should be working alone, managing a line on a Saturday afternoon where the lines are longer, and most importantly she is not protected. You could easily tell that she was exhausted. We will not be supporting Cream going forward until a shift occurs to improve the work environment for your team. Super yummy in the tummy ice cream sandwiches. My son was having a great day so I wanted to reward him with something great. We ventured out to Concord and tried CREAM. I got a chocolate chip and vanilla sandwich and Brayden got Birthday Cake. Both tasted great and worth every penny. My kids and I had a late night urge for ice cream and CREAM in downtown Concord was the only place open. What a treat it was. The ice cookie sandwiches looked really good but a little too much for us this trip. We each went with just two scoops of ice cream in a cup. I liked the variety of flavors they had (just like San Francisco Ice Creamery in Walnut Creek). The ice cream was creamy and smooth. Staff is super friendly and very respectful. When I asked for a gluten-free sandwich Ben in the concord location immediately asked if it was because of an allergy. When I said yes he promptly told me that he would be preparing in a separate area and he also changed gloves right away. Overall, decent experience. I came in on national ice cream day and maybe it was because the workers had a long day, but they seemed like they were ready to check out for the night. The tables were kind of dirty and could have used a wipe down. As for ordering, its really easy to order. If you are unsure on what flavor you want or what they taste like, you can always ask to sample the flavors you want to try. Overall, it is pretty simple on how to order what you want. What can I say? C.R.E.A.M. is amazing, the owners are fantastic people, and ERIN IS THE BEST CREAM SERVER MY FAMILY HAS EVER HAD! She is super energetic, great at giving smiles and care to people around her, and even interacted with my young kids (which is a huge win for me in the first place)! One could wonder if Todos Santos Plaza really needs a third ice cream store. Baskin Robbins has been on the square "forever" while Loards opened last summer. But after only one visit, I can say YES ... a third store like Cream is a great addition to downtown Concord. It should do very well because the products are so good. Excellent variety of cookies and ice creams, plus other ice cream treats. I was pleased to see that they offer a half cookie sandwich. I had a warm oatmeal raisin cookie with Cup of Joe ice cream. Delicious! I liked that the cookie was soft. (Not hard like the It's It Bars.) Right size and right price: only $2.49. Can hardly wait for future visits so I can work my way through the menu. Place is really cute, the lots of people there, really clean and you have a choice of getting your ice cream and either cup cone or sandwich. I chose some butter pecan. What a disappointment. Is taste like going ice cream with a few pecans in it. There's no butter flavor in this thing at all. don't come here if you want your ice cream to be contaminated with rat poop. while i was waiting in line for ice cream we saw a rat fall from the ceiling and started running everywhere. after coming back the following day we saw rat poop and the smell at this business is horrible. will definitely be calling the health inspection department for this location. i hope something will be done. read more

I walked passed this place a ton but never stepped in because I thought they wouldn't have vegan options. But my gluten-free friend brought me in and the staff had amazing customer service and excellent knowledge on dietary needs. Yelp should really consider allowing half stars. I'd give this place 3.5 ! Came here today for the first time ever, was pretty busy due to the farmers market. The ice cream we got was good, like all ice cream, but it was enjoyable with kids. Not very many choices for toppings, but has the basics, so it works. For 2 ice cream sandwiches it came out to $9 and some change, just moved to the city, so I'm not sure if it's considered pricey. Over all I like this place, I feel like a few more choices in cookie flavors and a better employee system would make this place even better. The employee helping us was nice, but they were a little unorganized. They should have someone taking the cookie order and choosing ice cream, then someone for toppings , and someone for the register. Just a thought . read more

My family and I really enjoy Cream, although we don't come often, as it's a little pricey for us. My kids both got singles scoops of the very berry strawberry with mini marshmallows as their topping. My husband got chocolate chip cookies with French vanilla ice cream and mini Reece's pieces. Be warned, although the warmed cookie for the sandwich is delicious, it makes the sandwich extremely messy and hard to eat. I chose the milk shake with toasted almond ice cream (my favorite) with a chocolate chip cookie blended in. The milk shake was $6.29, and although it was delicious, it was frustrating. The straws that they have are far too small for a milkshake, and I wasn't able to drink much. I ended up going next door to Peet's coffee to get a slightly bigger straw. Actual milk shake straws or even boba straws would be a much better option. At the bottom of the cup, after the shake is gone, I'm left with half a cup full of cookie pieces that didn't get blended enough. I don't think I'll get a milk shake again, since it was very expensive, and not worth the price, but we will definitely be back to this location. read more

First time coming to this location and it's such a cute place-- absolutely love the wall which is pretty random but you can take aesthetically looking pictures with your ice cream sandwich! The staff was friendly and the dessert itself was delicious :) Parking is tricky around the Todos Santos area but it's worth it! Their vegan ice cream is just as great as their normal ice cream selection, although there should be more vegan options. Called to reserve a cake for a birthday last minute. Came to pick it up and asked us if we wanted writing on the cake under the impression that it would be approx 3-4min. We waited for about 20 min for "Happy Birthday Mom". It didn't seem busy, maybe she was working on other things in the kitchen but we personally feel it shouldn't take 20 min for the writing we requested for. I'm no expert on cakes or frosting but I've done it before and it does not nearly take that long. On a more positive note, the employee did apologize for the wait which we do appreciate. This location is our go to dessert spot! You can't beat the price! Baskin Robins, Cold Stone and Dairy Queen can not compare. From price to flavor or customer service. We have been going to this location since it opened and haven't stopped. We get a small scoop of ice cream, (2) mini cookies warmed up on the side and (2) 1 Scoop of ice cream on a Waffle Cone and pay about $12 or less since we rack up points using the fivestar app! We are always greeted and have always received great customer service. Nina is our girl and we love her! They hire a great group of people! Only downfall is when it's busy, there is limited space to sit. Sometime people are taking up tables and are no longer eating ice cream or just charging their phones.
