DoorDash to the rescue! This was my 2nd time trying their fare. Combo plate 4.5outta5 Everything was seasoned perfectly. My only gripe is the basa not having been fried harder. I like my fish fried a lil hard/crispy but still flaky & moist on the inside. I was delighted to see the peas over rice! The dressing was a touch too moist, not bad at all just lacking a lil texture. The cornbread muffin was too sweet imho. To each their own tho. Frozen lemonade was perfect, especially after spiking;-) Turns out the owner is a friend of a friend. She's onto something and I hope she continues to grow & becomes a staple of the community. #GoTaste&See read more

Edited to add a response to the owner: Girl I already said I'm not coming back lmao. Let's listen to understand, not reply. Talking bout I'm not welcome. I'm just matching your energy, because what made you call me Aj? Yeah exactly lol I'll go touch some grass if you go fix them mashed potatoes bookie! You're welcome, Tyler! Just as I said when you answered, NO WORRIES on the potatoes- (I was definitely not going to waste my gas coming back.) The mac and cheese didn't taste as though it came out of the oven. It was barely warm, but I digress. The wait time wasn't an issue and I didn't complain about any delays as you stated. Also didn't complain about the Shasta soda, just a lack of other brands available. My advice- don't add in free cornbread cupcakes. It'll save you money and time I love sweet, but that wasn't sweet cornbread. That was a cornbread cupcake lol. Thanks for the free soda. God bless you & your business endeavors! Went on a week day right when they opened at 12:00pm. I ordered fried lamb chops, garlic mashed potatoes + Mac and cheese. My meal came with a shasta soda can and a corn bread muffin, for $35.00 + tax. Waited about 20 minutes for my food. The young man at the counter was nice, although when I asked him what he'd recommend/what was popular- he was unable to tell me anything, so no help there. The inside is super cute! Loved the decor and vibe overall. Super girly. If you're looking to sit down and eat, there's no room. Be prepared to get your food to go! Anyways, let's break it down... Lamb chops: - 4/10. 4 pieces that were fried a minute or two too long & looked like the lamb had been starved for 40 days & 40 nights. Aside from that, the flavor was ok. Garlic mashed potatoes: - -50/10. It tasted exactly how it looked... dry & was definitely giving Idaho instant mashed potatoes. Albeit there were some potato skins in there, but overall the worst "garlic mashed potatoes" I've ever had. I couldn't get over how artificial it tasted. Mac & cheese: - 7.5/10. Your basic Mac & cheese. It definitely wasn't fresh though- it had either been from the day before or just sitting for too long. I'd expect it to be fresh & gooey, especially if you're just opening. Corn bread muffin: - 0/10. I get this is a bakery/food restaurant... but please my corn bread should not taste like no cupcake! Shasta soda can: - Nothing wrong with shasta, but please consider offering other brands of soda in the fridge. Even a water bottle would've sufficed. I wasn't going to upgrade to a lemonade for an extra fee! All in all I rate the entire experience a 2.5/5 stars. I don't think I'll be going back. The mashed potatoes, corn bread muffin & skimpy lamb chops pissed me off lol read more

I saw a post on IG yesterday of the gumbo and just had to ride out to Pittsburg to give it a try. It took about an hour because there was traffic all throughout my city as well as approaching the Caldecott and again in HWY 4. When I arrived, there wasn't anyone ahead of me so I was able to order right away. I assumed I would be able to dine-in, but it's take-out. There is a little white bench in front of the grass wall that you can sit and wait though. I placed my order and was given a little buzzer thing to let me know when the order was ready. I ordered chicken and sausage gumbo (added crab meat), kool-aid, and a chocolate cupcake. I went and sat in my car until the order was ready. Order was ready about 20-25 mins. When I made it home, the food was still hot. It was delicious and you can't go wrong with kool-aid. I believe it was tropical punch. I didn't eat the cupcake yet, but it looks moist and good. I'll save it for tomorrow. read more

The food is really good, I had the fish and shrimp plate with yams and macaroni. I can't wait for it to open again because I am definitely going back. They don't have dine in services so they give you a buzzer and when your good is ready it will buzz, or you can sit outside the have 2 little tables out there as well. They really need to open everyday of the week because I was ready to go back the next day! read more

If there's one thing I love, it's cupcakes. How I ever missed this business being in our area is disheartening. Found this place by chance having to run in a business in the same shopping center. What luck that I needed something sweet to celebrate a coworkers birthday. So fitting, I had to order two of each. Some of the flavors were based off Girl Scout cookies. That alone had me sold. Everyone one was decorated perfectly and tasted even better. Also had to pick up a tray of Carmel brownies. And don't stop at the cupcakes. They also had banana pudding, peach cobbler and a few other single desserts. If you needed a sign to buy cupcakes or other sweet treats, this is it. Give them a visit! read more

It was a welcome, relief to have good food after Sunday church and not have to cook it. Everything was wonderful.

Came here just to try their soulfood! (Sundays 1-5pm only!) You know it's good when you get there and there's already a 50 minute wait with orders ahead. It really hit the spot when I was craving some comfort food. I got the fried turkey chops smothered with gravy! Sides : smack n cheese and greens/cabbage mix! 8/10!! I would recommend getting both sides of smack n cheese!! I believe you can also order ahead of time so you don't have to wait as long. read more

Went to restaurant greeted by welcoming and pleasant cashiers but the food was nasty. One of the plates I ordered was their honey cognac chicken basket. The chicken had no flavor whatsoever the fries was good was well seasoned the other dish I ordered was the fried basa plate with rice and gravy and mac n cheese. The basa was salty, rice and gravy barely had gravy and the mac n cheese was unflavored. read more

Freshly made ! There were several other people purchasing their products when I was shopping at that store.

This food was terrible the fish you couldn't even tell it was fried catfish it was so mushy and the green beans had no flavor nor did the beans and rice. The cupcakes were really good she just needs to stick with baking cup cakes and cakes because the food taste terrible read more

I believe in sharing good news, especially about good food, and Bakery Bites has set the bar exceptionally high. In order to assess their menu, we ordered the catfish, oxtails, pork chop, and seafood platters. The sides we ordered were the smacking' cheese (Mac and cheese), garlic mashed potatoes, candied yams, and fried corn. There was nothing among the food we tasted that was not amazingly DELICIOUS! In addition, the staff were very personable and the facility was clean and neat. Pittsburg has been in need of a really good soul food eatery and Bakery Bites has answered that call. Definitely will return to try some additional menu items. read more

The peach cobbler pudding was amazing! Very flavorful. It was just like eating a peach cobbler pie...unfortunately I was disappointed with the cupcakes. Unfortunately they were dry. But to their defense the icing was really good. read more

So glad she's back. Hours are Fri., Sat., & Sun. The best Peach Cobbler around. Toffee cookies are yummy, too.

Very cute, small shop that offers cupcakes, cookies, drinks and food, on weekends I believe. I tried their cupcakes. Ordered a red velvet, pineapple/ coconut (forgot the actual name of it), banana pudding, and ube coconut. The texture of the cupcakes has a nice consistency, dense but chewy, not crumbly and dry. Flavors were lacking. Either not there at all or too artificial. The frosting on each was also a miss for me. Beautifully decorated cupcakes, variety of different flavors and some standard ones, excellent customer service, and a great consistency to the cake part of the cupcake. Unfortunately flavors were a miss. read more

Anisha made a beautiful Pocahontas themed cake for my daughter's birthday. Not only did it look great, but it was one of the best tasting cakes I've ever had. I rarely have had a birthday party where there wasn't a large amount of cake leftover, but this was the exception. Thank you for putting some serious love into making this cake--it showed and was a big hit!!! read more

In response to the owners response to my review of her bakery. The customers do not use nor do you have your 1600 sq ft bakery set up for customers to do anything but crowd together. The inside is small. You did not have a good selection on the day we patronized your establishment. As far as drinks go counters behind the display case was empty. 1 cooler of beverages to the left hand side. My drive to Santa Rosa across the bridge will be most enjoyable and ordering cupcakes from sift will also be enjoyable, the beautiful displays of cupcakes the outstanding customer service and the personality and style of the bakery is all part of the experience. Your bakery has zero. I also would like to say how unprofessional you really are with your rude ass response to my review. If you can't take the truth from a consumer who without consumers and loyal customers you'll be out of business then I suggest you find a different line of work. I gave my honest feedback on your cupcakes and they are not good read more

Anisha, girrrrllll!! You came through! I appreciate how friendly and easy to work with she was! She listened to all my concerns and ideas from the start, and brought them to life! Even asking for my opinion on her ideas beforehand is commendable. The quality of the decorations and treats created and made by Anisha were amazing!! The custom made candy apples were so flawless, no one wanted to eat them! Lol My daughter's bridal shower was a success and I would definitely recommend using Anisha's Niche for your next event! I was craving a cupcake and this bakery was nearby. As soon as we walked in, I noticed how cute and clean this place looked. We were kindly greeted twice while they were helping the person in front of us. I felt a little underwhelmed at first because their display case was semi empty and I didn't feel like we had a lot of options. However they may have just been in a replenishing process, so I didn't let that discourage me. We ended up buying 4 cupcakes - red velvet, churro, chocolate, and strawberry crunch, and one Snickers cookie. I tried 3 out of the 4 cupcakes and they were all super moist and flavorful. I didn't feel like any of them were overwhelmingly sweet. I heard the churro one was good, too. We got into the cookie on the drive home and it was super chewy and tasty. Payment was easy and speedy to complete. We will be returning! read more

Short Review: Anisha's Niche Bakery and Bites has a nice variety of sugary treats and savory foods that are very well balanced and leave you satisfied, but looking forward to more. Everything is very consistent and I don't have anything to really complain about. All in all, come here for the sugar and leave with some lunch/dinner too. You won't be sorry! More Detailed Review: I have been coming to Anisha's Niche Bakery and Bites for almost 2 months now. It's a small bakery in the Hillcrest Sunset Plaza run by two amazingly talented women. It has a cute pink theme and a nice variety of cupcakes, cookies, brownies, drinks, and more! They have tons of different mix-ins for flavored Lemonade Slushies (watermelon + blue raspberry = YUM!), hot chocolate, and a variety of "bites" that are more of a "mouth full" in the best of ways. You can expect a very warm welcome from "Cake-Girl" as you enter and I've been lucky enough to sneak in just after, or right before, they get busy. Any cookie I tried I devoured in seconds, so I've now started ordering two. The brownies are thick, rich, and sweet in just the right amounts and I've liked each and every flavor! The toffee brownie has been my favorite of the brownies while my husband really liked the Butterfinger Brownie, but we will see if the Brookie I just got today is my new favorite. Of their cupcakes I've tried several: Lemon Crunch, Strawberry Crunch, Sweet Potato, Banana Pudding cupcake, Oreo Madness, and Red Velvet. The Lemon Crunch was good, but I do prefer my lemon to be a bit tarter. Even though it was sweeter than I prefer, it was still very moist, the cookie on the outside (the crunch part) was really good, and the small bit of lemon curd was the best (just wanted more of the curd). The Strawberry Crunch was perfect: creamy frosting, fresh strawberry, moist cake, and very well balanced. I'd love the Sweet Potato cupcake even more if it had a little bit more sweet potato flavor, but it's light, balanced, and perfect if you want a little sugar without it being too sweet and I do plan on getting it again. The Banana Pudding was good, but my husband wanted just a little bit more banana. Lastly, the Oreo Madness and Red Velvet are great as they are, perfectly balanced for my tastes! My favorite part, however, are the "bites". Now, they may call it a "bite", but I have to say that the portions are nice and large. I've tried Gumbo, Turkey Chops Smothered, Shrimp and Grits, Fish Fry, and more! Due to my terrible bell pepper allergy I'm unable to enjoy many southern dishes, however, these ladies have not had bell pepper in the items I've ordered and I've been able to enjoy some AMAZING food! OMG, I don't know if I come here more for the sugar or the food, but I think I've finally figured out the "secret ingredient" added to every dish... it's LOVE. I taste the LOVE in this food! I finally tried Shrimp and Grits (I know, I live in a cave) and the party in my mouth had me dancing in joy! There were so many flavors that blended in with the next, the grits were smooth and creamy, and the shrimp were cooked PERFECTLY! The gumbo is delicious and I will order it again and again! Just enough kick not to overpower the flavors of the sausage and the okra was perfect and not slimy at all. The Fish Fry was so delish that I had to call and thank the chef! Best fish fry EVER and I LOVE any seafood! I will say the best of the best of the food HAS to be the Soul Food Sunday choices. The Turkey Chops Smothered are TO.DIE.FOR! The breading has so much flavor and blends well with the gravy. There aren't any sides that I haven't liked (the yams are my favorite and don't forget to try the Smack n' Cheese!) and I plan to try just about everything they make. The prices are about average for their treats and match other similar businesses. Food prices will vary with what you order, but the portions and flavor are so good that I don't even look at the price for anything anymore. I believe the food is WELL WORTH the price. Once your tastebuds get a hold of the treat/food, you'll agree with me. I'm so excited for the new year and looking forward to all the new things these amazing women accomplish. Customer for life! read more
