I was looking for a place to find some good desserts. I found this place on Yelp. When I entered the shop the staff were very helpful. I ordered a chocolate salted caramel and carrot cake cupcake. Both cupcakes were delicious and very soft. Ambiance was customer service friendly and very clean. The cupcake selection was great.

I loveeeeeee Cupcakin! I literally rave about their key lime cupcake, it is my favorite! I am just a little bummed with their reward program and how their system is set up. I wanted to place a custom order online for a birthday but I realized there was no way to confirm if the order was going to translate into earning rewards points. I called the Walnut Creek location and the associate was very nice but she explained that the only way to accumulate rewards points is to go in store and make a same day purchase. She did offer to have someone take my order over the phone but told me I still wouldn't accumulate points that way because there system just isn't designed like that. Seems a bit unfair to their customers...I decided not to order.

I haven't had a fancy cupcake in a long time so this was such a treat! The inside is decorated simply with a focus on the cupcakes. I LOVED the creme brulee cupcake I had, the custard was delicious and I loved the caramelized sugar topping. I also loved the mini cupcakes to try other flavors, the double chocolate, carrot cake, and key lime were delicious too. The cake itself for all the flavors I tried was so moist and perfectly cooked. I can't wait to try more flavors!

This was my first time going to the WC location, and it was cute! I got the carrot cake cupcake and of course it did not disappoint. They also have a great deal on day old cupcakes (they still taste delicious). Definitely my go to cupcake spot.

Cupcakes have absolutely rich and delicious flavor and texture! Totally 5 star quality. I will be back!

Ahhh, cupcakes. We love the Cupcakin' Bake Shop location in Berkeley on Shattuck and just had to check if the Walnut Creek location was just as good. The answer? Yes it is. We got six cupcakes as our sample size: strawberry, cookies n cream, key lime, carrot cake, Madagascar vanilla, chocolate chip (limited flavor). They were all fantastic! Moist, not too sweet, perfect ratio of frosting and cake. I do seem to recall that the strawberry we've had from Shattuck has a ribbon of strawberry jam through it, but maybe they just don't do that anymore. And honestly, it's ok if they don't because they are still freakin' amazing! Strawberry and key lime are my favorites. But you really can't go wrong with any of them. These tasty treats don't come cheap, but they are so worth it. And you can save a dollar of you get the "baked yesterday" cupcakes. They taste just as good and will still taste good even two days later than that (if they last that long!) Or get the mini cupcakes. They have the same attention to detail as the regular sized ones. Which is something I love about this bakery; their mini versions are exactly the same as the regular size, just smaller. If the regular is filled or has a cookie base, the mini will also be filled or have a cookie base. No shortcuts are taken. I'm so excited to have this location as an option. Both are about an hour (one way) from my house, but these cupcakes are so good I have no issues making the drive just to pick up a dozen or so. I love this place!

OMG - how do I even begin to explain how good these cupcakes are. I stopped by randomly as I was in the area & wanted something sweet. I knew as soon as I tasted their oatmeal cookie that the cupcakes were not going to let me down! Everything was super flavorful & sweet but not overpoweringly sweet (if that makes sense). It's $4.50/each & at first to thought that was a bit pricey for 1 cupcake... but I totally get it & it's totally worth it. The staff is friendly & helpful, and the space is really cute. Looking forward to coming back & hopefully hosting a party soon which will give me a reason to place in another order!

Great cupcake spot that features alot of different and yummy flavors. They also sell older cupcakes for a discount and mini cupcakes, which is nice to sample. The double chocolate was very good as was the key lime. Service was fast and friendly. Place is small so can get crowded.

The cupcakes at Cupcakin' Bake Shop were really good--moist, flavorful, and definitely worth trying! My favorites were the peanut butter and carrot cake, both had great texture and just the right amount of sweetness. The only reason for the 3-star rating is the customer service. The employee helping customers was on his phone with headphones in and having personal conversations while working, which made the experience feel a bit unprofessional. Other than that, the cupcakes were great, and I'd still come back for the treats!

My friends and I were craving a little sweet treat after our dinner so we stopped by and got the strawberry cupcake and carrot cake cupcake. So delicious! The strawberry frosting was sweeter than the carrot cake frosting but neither of them were too sweet. I personally liked the carrot cake cupcake more. I wished we had gotten more to share but I'll just have to wait until we come back!

I'm posting a third review because I had no idea they sell day old cupcakes! The mini day olds sell for $1. And guys...they're hella moist snd scrumptious still! Everytime I come here I'm sad I didn't order more. When will I learn my lesson and get at least half a dozen?? Who knows. Anywho this time around I got the key lime and the Oreo. I'm not a key lime pie girl but I like some tart based pastries so figured I'd give it a try. I mean, what could I lose, it's $1. I bit into that thing and instantly regretted that I only bought one. FIRE! Love the crust on the bottom too. Adds a nice texture. I liked it more than the Oreo one. Wish I remembered to snag a pic of the key lime one.

Stopped by on a whim during Father's Day and family birthdays week in June. The person was so helpful in advising what was available and popular, as well as their pricing. I was able to grab a strawberry, cookies and cream, red velvet, and crème brûlée. Lastly, a vegan option which was banana blueberry. The cupcakes were a hit, I do believe the crème brûlée was the favorite. The vegan cupcake was good, although tasted like something I'd prefer to eat for breakfast. So I did, with coffee. Would definitely return, and thanks for accommodating!

Absolutely beautiful and incredibly delicious! My boyfriend surprised me with a cake from Cup Cakin' for my 35th birthday, and everyone raved about it! It was perfectly moist, full of flavor, and just the right amount of sweetness. I added my own gold edible glitter to it, it was perfect! The cake served around 12 people and was very reasonably priced. Since then, I've gone back for cupcakes and plan to keep supporting this wonderful business for future celebrations. Both the quality and service have been consistently excellent!

They are soft and chewy, not too sweet. The flavors are pretty accurate as well for the donuts. The mochi banana pudding was unique, and enjoyable! They did recommend heating up for 1 minute, but you can probably get away with much less time than that. The black sesame mochi muffin was pretty average. The jouraku matcha latte was average; couldn't really taste much of the matcha notes, but it had more matcha flavor than some other cafes. Overall, this was a unique bakery and I would totally come back!

First off, don't let the name fool you because despite its name it's actually a Korean bakery, not a French bakery. They do have a lot of French inspired pastries though, like croissants. I keep seeing people on TikTok eating those cylinder shaped Croissants filled with creamy custard or chocolate cream, so naturally I had to try one when I saw them at the store. I also knew I had to try the Salted Bread since Japanese style salted bread has been super viral all over Asia lately. We ended up getting both, and honestly they were pretty good. Let me start with the Salted Bread, the inside had that signature hollow interior with a slightly crusty exterior, so it felt pretty legit. The salty crust paired really nicely with the buttery flavor of the bread. It was good, but I don't get the hype around it. I know some people are completely obsessed with salted bread, but to me it's basically just really good bread tasting like salted butter. I like it, but it's just not enough to make me obsessed with it. Then we tried the cylinder shaped croissant that was half dipped in chocolate, and that was pretty good too. Obviously room temperature croissants just don't hit the same as warm freshly baked ones, but for room temperature ones, these were pretty solid. I also really liked the interior of the shop. Everything looked super clean, modern, and chic. All the baked goods were displayed really beautifully too. I'd definitely come back again the next time I'm in the vicinity, and next time I'll try some of their other stuff too.

If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.
