First time ordering from them through Uber Eats and did their buy 1 get 1 donuts and wow!! The glaze melts in your mouth. I might even say.. similar if not better than a krispy kreme donut! Breakfast croissant was decent, probably better fresh! Will order from them again!

We came here on a Sunday at 8am. Everything was fully stocked and a lot of options. The service is fast and prices are reasonable. My kids really liked these doughnuts

We just found our favorite donut shop for apple fritters! Their Apple fritters are soft, moist, the perfect crunch and crisp outer layer! It has the perfect balance of sweetness and just enough taste of the apple. Overall, the fritter has everything you're looking for from texture, taste, portion, and price! If you're on the hunt for an apple fritter, please come here and try it. My wife and I can't wait to come back for more!

A staple in Lafayette. Always consistently delicious. Perfectly fluffy and flavorful. One of the only places I have been to that has maple bars and chocolate bars you can get filled with cream! And the custard cream is so flavorful and light. Staff is so incredibly friendly and gave me some donut holes on the house with my purchase. I love this family owned business so much!

I'm so glad I finally tried Johnny's Donuts, which is now my new favorite donut shop in Contra Costa County! I went in around 10am on a Thursday with two people ahead of me in line. There was a good selection of donuts with everything I was hoping for, plus a surprise of seeing they had Ube donuts (5/5)! I LOVE Ube so I had to get one. All the donuts were fresh. I also bought a chocolate glazed (5/5), vegan chocolate sprinkles (5/5), and gave my parter a maple bar, which he enjoyed. The owner was so nice and even gave me three free donut holes with my order. I needed to make the $10 minimum to use my card so I also got a Vietnamese coffee (4/5), which was strong and tasty. I sat at one of their booths to enjoy my coffee and Ube donut, and enjoyed the old school, nostalgic atmosphere. I look forward to coming back to try more of their donuts!

Got a chance to try these doughnuts and they were amazing!! Passionfruit was perfect, and the old fashioned was fantastic. The star of the show was the ube, though - I've had plenty of ube mochi doughnuts, but this was the first time I had a cake one and it was incredible. Still thinking about it a month later!

Johnny's Donuts has been around for decades and is definitely a Lafayette institution. Located in the same strip mall as Diablo Foods, this tiny family-owned shop makes some of the best donuts in Central Contra Costa County. From the display cases to the counter seating, the interior oozes old-school charm and character. They offer your typical donut fare and beverages, plus a few breakfast items. Honestly, you can't go wrong anything here. I love that their donuts are always big, fluffy, and not too sweet. The female owner is super friendly and welcoming. A dozen donuts here will set you back $19, about the same price as Dunkin. Parking can be an issue during peak business hours. Just be patient and you will be rewarded!

We absolutely love this little shop. The BEST donuts in the Bay Area and they are fresh. Even love their breakfast sandwiches. The owner Kim works so hard and she's the sweetest!

Celebrating our 6YO with a donut cake

My son turned 6 while we were on vacation and a family member bought him a donut cake to celebrate, which was a new (and delightful) to us experience. A week later back home, we hosted a birthday party for him and his friends and also wanted to celebrate with a donut cake. We love Johnny's Donuts and contacted Kim to ask if they were able to do this special order which she was excited to do in spite of the fact that they had never made one before and was willing to try it out. Apparently you need special machinery to make them but we appreciated that they took on the challenge and freehanded the design!! Kim called the day before the scheduled pickup to confirm. Upon pickup, they even gifted the bday boy with his own donut and was just a delight to work with. We are loyal fans, and will be ordering donut cakes again in the future!!

Behold--the perfect apple fritter. I never used to like apple fritters. My mama always said that if you don't like a food, it's probably because you haven't had it prepared the right way. And boy, was she right--especially regarding these apple fritters. Typically, apple fritters are doughy, overcooked, dry, and suspiciously void of apples, let alone apple flavor. But that couldn't be further from the truth here. Just look at these beauties: the crispy golden-brown exterior, the ideal thickness, the perfect size--pure perfection. The flavor? Out of this world. These fritters are bursting with apple goodness. The first bite greets you with a satisfying crunch, softening as you work your way toward the center. During this delicious journey, your palate is treated to a harmonious blend of apple and cinnamon, elevated by the perfect amount of REAL apple pieces. If you're anywhere near the East Bay, you owe it to yourself to stop by the best doughnut shop around. Johnny's is a Lafayette institution, crafting doughnut perfection for generations. I can't recommend it enough!

I found another older gentleman if he could clear out some tables. He happily obliged. With a smile! And said, "I will do that right now." While we were eating, it was this same man who cleared tables. He's the best! Friendly and always smiling. Meanwhile, the first young man I asked originally, walked past dirty tables. He walked by a dirty table twice. Anyway... we ordered: Flat Iron Steak Sandwich - flavorful and delicious Avocado Toast - I love that the avocado is seasoned. I wish the bread was a little more toasted and that the arugula was seasoned or drizzled with olive oil. SB Cheddar Burger - I love that their patty was well-seasoned bursting with flavor! Delicious!! The fries were also great! Enjoyed the ketchup with its smoky flavor.

Will we get good or mediocre drinks today? Will our drinks be accurate or would we need to spend some more time to get our drinks fixed? Always a gamble, but hey, I do love to gamble (usually in a different setting lol). Sometimes the drinks are really good. The ones I've had the most consistencies are their house milk tea and their tropical fruit tea. Recommendation is to order everything as-is since if things (such as sugar level) are adjusted, it's most likely watered down. Luckily the drinks aren't way too sweet, but still a bit sweeter than I'd like, and I'd prefer a bit more tea flavor. My daughter has been big on their Thai tea, but after some inconsistencies with flavor, she's switched to their matcha horchata drink. Pretty good, and they have other kinds of drinks like that too. My son likes the house milk tea with lychee jelly, and the husband enjoys the Oreo drinks here, but they don't taste right in my opinion. I like their house milk tea, jasmine milk tea, tropical fruit tea, and once a while, their ube taro drink. On the safe side, I normally stick with tropical tea and house milk tea at this location. Props to Lilikoi for having some "unique" drinks such as mango almighty (mango smoothie with tajin and chamoy), various horchata drinks, and more. They seem to specialize more in the tropical fruit teas, so highly recommend for those.

Since I went close to when they first opened, I thought they would get the kinks worked out so I wanted to try again before I judged. I came today (2/4/2025) after a doctor's appointment. I noticed they have ube coffee on the menu. Unfortunately, the employees told me they were out of ube. I ordered the Thai milk tea with no ice at 50% sweet. Given the heavy rain and cold weather, I asked if they could make the drink hot and they said they don't do hot drinks. Really? Every boba spot I've been to in the 4.5 years I've lived in Contra Costa County - including Sharetea, Mr. Green Bubble, Teaspoon, and Yi Fang - offer hot drinks. Everywhere EXCEPT Lilikoi. As for the drink itself, I could taste the Thai tea flavor somewhat but it seemed a bit watered down. I've had better Thai milk tea elsewhere. The drink cost $5, which is less compared to other boba spots. But I'd rather pay a bit more for drinks that don't tasted watered down. I don't think I'll return, even if in the area.

If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.

There's also a self-service ordering kiosk inside and you can order ahead on the Paris Baguette app. Speaking of the app, it pays to install it on your device as doing so entitles you to a free pastry with purchase upon your 1st visit. Anywhere from a $3.99-$5.99 value this is, so nothing to sneeze at. And they send you other freebies & deals through this medium also. Pricing for your basic pastries: Think Starbuck's prices + 15-20% or thereabouts. Not sure how the rewards system works here yet or how it might stack up to the aforementioned Starbuck's program or others? The pastries: Oh so good! Definitely no complaints here. If not for them being a bit on the pricier side, as alluded to already. Warm, flaky & fresh out of the oven. Parisian style. Definite niche appeal outside of your random donut shop or Starbucks' offerings. I did not try any of their different beverage options like coffees, teas, lattes or frappes this visit. No doubt this chain will succeed, as is evidenced by their rapid store growth, "newness" of the brand/concept and customer popularity. My pastry choices were the Pain Au Chocolat and the Pain Aux Raisins. One being the free one with the promotion. 10 out of 10. They also do whole bread loaves, cakes and other confectionaries + special orders. Pretty much a full service bakery, Paris style. And if you're sugar and/or calorie cautious, this bakery will no doubt appear like a mine field, lol. Everything in moderation I guess as the saying goes? It's a winner overall. Subtractions for the Fort Knox-like entrance issues and a lack of customer intro-greeting. It looked very popular inside for an early Saturday morning.
