I came here the other day and there was like 2 workers which I understand it can be a lot but the place was empty and I was waiting for a cashier to come ring me up because I couldn't order through the kiosk because they don't have the options that I want on there. I was literally waiting for like 10 minutes and the Hispanic employee was just walking by me over and over again, probably like 5 times back and forth and it took until my friend to say something to the nice young lady making online orders that I needed my order taken.. honestly so annoying because clearly I'm standing here waiting and he just looked at me and every time I was gonna speak up he walked away, he was carrying a roll of trash bags so he seemed busy but it took the girl not even 2 minutes to ring me up for my drink. I grabbed an iced coffee with almond milk for myself, which was just what I needed, and my daughter absolutely loved her mango lemonade. She called it "fantastic," and I'd have to agree. The service was efficient, and my order was ready super fast, but I wouldn't say customer service is their strong suit. It felt a little limited. That said, speed can sometimes make up for that, and it certainly did here. Not a very good experience. Employees should get food safety training or refresher courses and also be more conscientious about overcharging customers. The store does not appear to be well managed. I was there 7/6 (Sunday) around 6:45pm. Manager or owner can look up who was working that shift and reviewing the cash register record. The sales woman that helped me had just finished changing the garbage can liner. Without washing her hands (!), she put on one glove to help me. I ordered 10 munchkins and one glazed donut with sprinkles. Not a complicated order. Total charge was over $8, I thought that was a lot, and checked my receipt. The price of donuts was not posted anywhere, I had to asked a different sales woman that was now standing close to the counter. One donut, with some variety exception, is $2.19 each. Then we realized, I was charged for 2, not 1 donuts. The original sales person came up to us with a serious look and asked if there was a problem. I was refunded the money. I had morning appointment at KAISER like a 4 minute walk here. I DoorDash & chose pickup option. Next door to some mom & pop ethnic restaurants Thai & Persian, liquors store ,tiny Indian market and Jersey mikes which used to be Casper's Hot dogs. The ladies who work here are in top of everything most orders are picked up. There is a mobile order the Dunkin app table where the orders are set and a separate door dash counter were to pick up . Not much room to sit inside but plenty of outside table with umbrellas. They staple your order with a large plastic bag and put your drinks in a cup holder so be careful your drink is inside . I love their food menu and choice of breads. Lot of options here for breakfast , friendly service and across from Broadway plaza and Whole Foods. Can't beat the location and opening time of 5 am. They deliver too. There are other locations in concord and Pittsburg. Prices are ok. read more

They may not be the most perfect franchise that sells the donuts and coffee drinks that are both beloved and maligned by fans around the world, but this location of Dunkin' as it is now called must be celebrated because it is the first to open in the Bay Area in almost twenty years ago when this location replaced a former Taco Bell location almost five years ago. Located in the San Miguel Shopping Center on the corner of Newell Avenue and South Broadway, this Dunkin' has the perfect location for those of you who want to grab something to drink or a small sweet bite to eat while one goes shopping in the outdoor Broadway Plaza located just right across the street. I remember when this location first opened, there were lines around the block just to get in and order with loyal customers thinking that they had to be one of the first to get their deep fried treats, perhaps not realizing they would still be around five years later. But knowing that this location is still here and thriving is the only incentive that I need to either walk over to this location once I park inside the massive parking garage at the Broadway Plaza or simply drive over and park in the parking lot of the San Miguel Center to get my sweet tooth satiated. Every time I go to Dunkin', I get one of two drinks, their Frozen Chocolate or a Coolatta (anyone else seeing a theme here?). I have to admit I come for these drinks because I am desperate need for a refresher and Dunkin has some of the best in Walnut Creek without the massive lines that stores in Broadway Plaza are known for. Can you imagine if they had a location in the Plaza? The lines would be lengthy! Thankfully this location is perfect just where it is as I feel little guilt in walking there for my calorie-inducing drink, not to mention nosh on a little crème or jelly filled donut and I am out the door either to walk off my little snack or drive off home which is quite the journey either way. Although the frozen drinks at Dunkin' could be considered a little sweet a find the frozen chocolate the perfect combination of chocolate mix and ice and is the perfect sip on a sunny weekend afternoon. Apparently they have different flavor swirls to accompany your drink (at least that's what it says online) but I wasn't asked by the cashier for my options, so I suppose I just had original on this day, which was fine as the sweetness can carry one a long way! The donuts at Dunkin' putting it mildly are traditional, as there's nothing truly special about them that you wouldn't necessarily find anything worse at your local donut shop. Perhaps their one true saving grace is that they remain very affordable as their crème and jelly filled donuts are no more that a little over one dollar, which in this day and age is remarkable. And although both their powder sugar jelly and their chocolate covered Boston Crème are both satisfactory, the latter is the better of the two. And my drink, even for a large cost roughly a little over three dollars, which was half the price of a similar drink at say Starbucks, granted with less coffee. The reason that Dunkin' has dropped the Donuts from its title, but not according to the sign at this first Bay Area location, is because they want to emphasize that they serve hot breakfast sandwiches, bagels and muffins, on top of their signature donuts. I personally think that's a mistake as Dunkin's identity goes hand and hand with coffee and donuts. When this location first opened in 2015, their goal was to make this location one of many in the Bay Area, but as of present, that goal hasn't panned out just quite yet as I can still count out the number of local Dunkin' locations on maybe two hands, which is unfortunate as Starbucks and Peet's and not to mention Krispy Kreme have all been fading quite recently, which has allowed a number of local and new coffee chains to thrive in the region. That's fine with me as options always pique my interest when it comes to blended coffee drinks and donuts and at Dunkin' in Walnut Creek they have some of the most reliable and affordable in the business! read more

I just left the store but cannot wait till I get home to write a review. I'm not exaggerating when I say that was some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. The staff happily answered any questions I had (didn't make me feel like a bother at all), were genuinely so friendly, and quick to fulfill orders. Seeing as it's Mother's Day I didn't expect a wide variety of donuts around 3pm, but surprisingly they still had a good selection. Review #164 - 2020 We showed at around 11:15 AM and decided to just do a mobile order from the car since the line out front was pretty long. I gave them half an hour to complete our order before walking inside & we were told that they were still waiting on the rest of our food item so it would be another five minutes or so. By 11:50 AM, I decided to just ask if it was ok to grab our drinks first since they looked melted down & the girls were getting antsy & thirsty. A guy comes out to inform me that my breakfast sandwiches were still not ready yet because the croissants had just come out of the oven & it was too hot to make at that very moment. He asked me if I'd be ok with getting them with English muffins instead. I asked him how much longer it would take if I wanted to wait for the croissants and he rudely replied, "I don't know!" He then proceeds back into the kitchen to announce that I wanted to wait until the croissants were ready, as if he was disappointed that I wouldn't just take the English muffins and leave. Finally, at 11:59 AM, someone shows me my bag signaling that my order was ready. When I took a bite of my sandwich, it was barely warm so I have no idea what they were complaining about the croissants being hot out of the oven. My niece got an order of the plain stuffed mini bagels and the everything stuffed mini bagels and she said they were pretty good. There are way too many choices when it comes to doughnuts and breakfast sandwiches, so hiring employees with an attitude problem is not cool especially during COVID-19 when most businesses are closing down left & right! read more

A perfectly adequate donut if you're in a rush. Unfortunately the competition is stiff in this area and I will go to Allstar or Johnny's in a heartbeat over the food here. I got a crueler, which I was pleasantly surprised they had, and it was fine. Not too sweet and light; just a little doughy. My mom got a sugar raised and her rating was "ok." I got some of the snacking bacon and it tastes as advertised, it's that really thin microwaveable bacon so the texture could have used some work. I also got the ham and cheese stuffer and that was def the highlight. Good cheesy crunch on top. The main problem was my "surprise me" donut. It seemed like just a regular glazed on inspection. I guess the surprise was that it tasted INCREDIBLY underbaked. Hopefully my surprise doesn't turn into surprise food poisoning. I am a regular at another Duncan 2 or 3 times a week. Leaving this review because I have a good frame of reference . This store is horrible. I use the app to order, placed an order when in the parking lot. Entered the store and there were sim People there . Not one employee even looked at me walking in or standing at the pickup area for 10 minutes. Not that not a single employer greeted anyone or even had a smile on their face. No electronic board with order info . The drinks and food were being made and placed on a pickup countertop . No names were called ... just every other customer looking and touching the items. I did find my order that best been placed directly in the back counter, not called out. 1 coffee & a donut My dog was with me and leashed to the outside table. I asked for a pup cup. Going to keep this review short & sweet (ha- get it)! To put it simply, I definitely don't live in this area, but my sister, her husband and their three kids do. But the great thing about GrubHub is that you can send donuts to other people to make them smile, even if you don't live there! Yesterday, I decided to put a smile on my sister's family's faces and send them some sweet treats, especially during this crazy time. It was super easy to do. I updated the address in GrubHub to find some donuts that were close to them. Dunkin' popped up and I thought, I love me some Dunkin'. I put in an order of a dozen donuts and two coffees (one for my sister and one for my brother-in-law). This location was great and delivered everything in a timely manner. I have not been to a Dunkin Donuts in a super long time. To be honest, I forgot all about them... Shame on me! I needed to pick up a dozen donuts ASAP and when I Yelped for the nearest donut shop near me, this location popped up! Parking was easy as this Dunkin Donuts is located inside a plaza with their own private parking lot. Service was friendly, helpful and fast. I was in and out within 5 minutes or so. I appreciate the wide variety of flavors offered. The quality of the donuts, however, were a hit or miss. Some of the donuts were fresh and tasty, others were dry and too dense for my personal preference. All in all, great customer service, clean shop, and good donuts and drinks considering the price range. Having worked customer service for 20 years, I was absolutely taken aback by the nonchalance of the staff in there. There was no pivoting to help, nobody offered to fulfill my order, there was no solution offered other than for me to call the customer service number. This is after I told the women I was speaking to that I was a first timer... I could have been a customer for life - or at least as long as my lease. I got home and called customer service and the first time the call connected, I was hung up on - all I said was my name, click! The second time I spoke to a nice gentleman who told me he couldn't help me and that someone else would be reaching out to me about a refund (of $8) in 2-3 days. I dunno, guys. Seems like the easiest thing to do would have been to fulfill the order instead of making all these hoops for everyone else. I feel like this would have been the solution literally anywhere else. If I left my wife to write this yelp review she would be giving Dunkin Donuts five stars. She has a weird obsession for this donut shop that is so popular in the east coast. It's like her obsession with reality tv shows, I don't understand that either. But we finally got the opportunity to try them out for the first time a few weeks ago. The donut shop is of course nice inside. It new, they have quite an extensive menu of food to choose from, and wifi with a decent sized dining area, which isn't typical for a donut shop. So even if a person wasn't interested in having a donut they can order breakfast or a croissant sandwich with a latte. My wife and I however stuck with the donuts. We ordered a half dozen which came out to $6.59, so a little over a buck each. They have more flavors than a regular shop with flavors like blueberry or coconut. We ordered those two flavors to try plus the regular glazed and chocolate. Dunkin Donuts have more substance and are almost cake-like, almost the total opposite of Krispy Kreme which is a good thing. The employees were friendly, everything is new and clean. I give them 3.5 or possibly 4 stars because it was a decent experience, but like I said my wife said it's 5, so you be the judge. read more

My coworker recently brought me donuts from Dunkin Donuts in the Union City area to try for the first time and I was super underwhelmed; they were dry and was not what I expected. Although my first initial experience was not that great, I decided to stop by this location to give it a try and I have no regrets! This location had really nice workers, despite having a rude customer who was giving them problems about a FREE complimentary birthday item, and it was super clean. My sister and I shared some glazed donut holes and one vanilla sprinkle donut and they were both really good. I've always been a fan of Krispy Kreme, but Dunkin Donuts' donut holes are so much better! My only complaint is their display of donuts... On one of my many trips from Carmel to Napa I happened to discover this little gem of a store. It was such a delight to find someplace I could look forward to on my many trips up north. I prefer the fancy looking French donuts. The ones with all the swirls in the texture. And biting into it is like biting into a light and fluffy cream puff. All air and almost no dough.. Alright, now I'm *really* never going back to the East Coast. Dunkin' Donuts may be the only thing I miss about living in Boston, and now that I can get it on a beautiful December day in the Bay Area, there's nothing else I need! This location, despite being the only place to find DD in the area, is actually putting some serious elbow grease into creating a pleasant experience. Friendly folks at the counter, an attempt at regularly cleaning up the donut sprinkles on the floor, and free Munchkin samples (Pumpkin donut holes) seal the deal. I'm a fan of the decaf latte, which doesn't require a sweetener. The coffee isn't as great as Peets, but it beats the heck out of Starbucks and there is a much larger menu for your non-coffee-drinking +1's. Think Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate (!), and of course, the donuts. This is a great stop to hop on the free wifi and zone out for a bit, or to bring your kid for a hot cocoa and some donut holes. This Dunkin Donuts location is closest to the Iron Horse Regional Trail where I did an early morning long run. I strategically chose this spot as a post-run reward of donuts and breakfast. As usual, their glazed, donut holes, and French crullers were amazing! It's not easy to fine crullers this airy. The black coffee never fails. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in their sausage and egg breakfast sandwich, which was poorly made and did not taste right, and their hash browns. Those actually tasted disgusting. Wonderful treats and coffee! I don't believe I've ever been in a Dunkin Donuts coffee shop in my entire life. This was a bit of a mixed experience. I ordered an apple cobbler and a coffee. The cobbler was excellent as was the coffee. The staff was very friendly and explained where I could find the sugar. However, a bunch of the tables were pretty dirty and need to be cleaned up. I had to wipe down the table where I eventually sat. It looks like they could use one more employee. The entire time we were there eating, not one employee came out to clean tables. So, why we love the food here, I didn't love so much the restaurant itself. On the plus side, I should also mention that the bathroom was very clean. read more

I've never been to Dunkin' Donuts but one day I was in Walnut Creek and I saw the Dunkin' Donuts sign. I decided that I wanted to try Dunkin' Donuts because I've heard so many great things about them! I went to Dunkin' Donuts in the middle of the day and there weren't any other customers in the store. However, I did see a few online orders being prepared. I decided to order half a dozen donuts. The 6 donuts fit perfectly in the mini donut box! I thought that the donuts were good! They were fresh and delicious. Were they the best donuts I've ever had? No but I still enjoyed them! The worker knew that it was my first time at Dunkin' Donuts and he was very patient with me.
