Their iced coffee with a perfect sprinkle donut

My favorite donut shop! They have a great iced coffee as well. The cashier is extremely sweet and sometimes will give me donut holes :)

Happy donuts make a happy giiiirl! And this girl loves her some donuts from this happy little shop! I've been coming to Happy Donuts for the past several years now. The lady who once worked the front counter for all of those years just recently left, but the store still has the same great homey feeling! I used to come here almost every morning when I commuted to multiple locations for work some years ago. Although they are known for their donuts, I would ironically always start my morning off with their ham and cheese croissant and milk or an apple cider! Not the healthiest breakfast in the world, hence why I said "used to". I don't frequent this donut shop nearly as much as I used to, but whenever I do come in, it feels like I never left! The donuts here are really amazing! They always taste fresh and a few times I've had the pleasure of getting donuts that were fresh out of the oven! Mmm! I love their donut twists and donut holes, but my FAVORITE pastry from here is their apple fritter! It's hands down one of the best apple fritters that I have ever had! It's so crispy and sweet... it might just be a heart attack at first bite! I just love that damn apple fritter! But I have to watch my weight, so I can't be eating it all the time! Happy donuts carries a variety of different donuts as well as breakfast sandwiches, soft drinks, and coffee! The inside is small and only offers one table for seating and they only have a few parking spots in front. I actually just park at Walgreen's next door and walk over since it's easier for me to not have to make that u-turn into the parking lot. The pricing is very fair here with a box of a dozen mixed donuts only costing $9. The only downside and why I can't rate them 5 stars is the fact that their cash only. They've been cash only for so many years! I feel that they would get so much more business if they just decided to accept cards. I remember one time I went in and for a donut and a drink and when I went to pay, I had no cash on me! Instead of turning me away, the lady that used to work there just told me to pay her back the next time that I came in. I was so shocked! It made me feel good that she trusted me that much! I mean, I was a dedicated regular, but it really meant a lot to me. I ended up coming back the next day and paying her back. I would recommend Happy Donuts to anyone who loves being "happy"! They prepare their donuts with love and you can definitely taste it through and through!

Not so happy I cannot pull out of their driveway until I write this review. This was my first visit, and will be my last. Donuts in general happen to be one of my guilty pleasures so I do have certain expectations. To start, a donut shop should have at least the illusion of being clean & sanitary. There should be the slight aroma of donuts cooked in fat as you walk through the door, and the donuts displayed should look aesthetically appealing. As far as flavor, a good donut might be warm, have a lightness to it and should bring about feelings of guilt as it is being devoured. This donut shop failed on all levels, even though I selected one that had just been carried from the back on a rack. This place needs a good scrubbing inside and out, and perhaps the owners might consider reformulating the recipe so that the product tastes as if it were made fresh. One bite is all it took for me to say no bueno! Although I walk away feeling guilty for having spent $2.25, I am hopeful this cup of coffee has some redeeming quality.

Happy Donuts is open for business. I have my office a few blocks down and stopped by to get my morning joe. I spoke to the owner who said they were closed for 7 weeks due to plumbing problems. Donuts are delicious. They are huge. See for yourself. Coffee is good and I dont have to break the bank for it.

Happy Donuts is conveniently located off of Monument Blvd/Oakgrove Rd. This is the closest donut shop on this side of Monument so they get pretty busy! Parking is a bit tight but you'll manage to get a spot either directly in front of the shop, the travel agency or barber shop! I love Happy Donuts. Not only are the prices very reasonable but the Donuts are cooked fresh and with lots of love. I have had the pleasure to frequent this place for a few years now. The staff is always very friendly. If you go towards closing time they even throw in some free donuts to get rid of them. This place is cash only which I don't mind. This is a mom and pop so if your wanting a donut I am sure your belly can spare a few bucks in cash. :) I had a great conversation with the kind woman who was working there. I gave her the idea to start selling yogurt parfaits. She already had the granola, I told her all she needed now was plain yogurt and fruit. I shared with her that the parfaits usually go for $5+ and she could get away with selling them for $3 or $4. She was very grateful for the suggestion and even took notes. The coffee is pretty good too and way cheaper then the other overpriced brands. Mmm now I want a chocolate glazed donut!

It looks dirty inside and as it's cash only we left. Pretty ridiculous and rude. Parking lot is difficult.

Inside makes me felt like a Time Machine. It felt nostalgic and even the menu had those old school boards where you replace the letters individually. The prices were actually pretty cheap for a donut. I honestly cannot remember, because I was walking and looking around while my dad was purchasing them. Chocolate Old Fashion: This was crispy and crunchy, which is what I expect for a old fashion style donut. The chocolate glaze was delicious and not overtly rich. And I always enjoy breaking the "rings" of my donut and they came off easily and still maintained its crunchiness. Overall, this was a delicious donut. I truly enjoyed it and look forward to coming back again.

The donuts are big, fresh, and delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. He almost always throws in an extra, which is such a nice touch. Plenty of parking, great bear claws, and you can sit inside with a coffee. It's not fancy at all, just a solid, feel good spot that's easy to love. I always feel good supporting this business. Way better value and vibe than King's. A little cold inside, but he is trying to make a living and heating prices are through the roof, don't mind his humility at all.

It wasn't as easy to get back then, which probably makes it feel even more special now. And what do I get? Just one original glazed doughnut. That's right ONE. Every now and then I'll grab a drink or try something else, but honestly, it's just not the same. During their latest holiday promo, they had green doughnuts on display. The employee helping me must've seen the hesitation on my face and reassured me they still had the classic ones, thank goodness! I usually eat my doughnut there to pass the time. Some days it's busy, other times it's just me and a couple of other customers. It's a pretty quiet shop, which makes it a nice spot to sit, relax, and get a little reading done while I enjoy my treat.

They discontinued their cake batter donut, but have a chocolate cream filled donut which is sort of similar. Much more than a donut shop -- it's a donut factory. I love the fact you can see the donuts being made in front of you if you walk in. My kids love it! If you're looking for kid friendly place where affordability meets palate look no further. The place is casual and if you want a quicker service they have a drive through. Be aware it might be cheaper to do a dozen donuts at around $25 than buying a lot of single donuts of the menu which I have done. I was grateful when someone finally told me this, so don't make the same mistake as me.
