I drove a little farther because of the reviews, and now I completely understand the 4.7 rating. From the moment I walked in, the shop smelled incredible, and every pastry looked fresh and beautifully made. The woman helping customers was genuinely one of the kindest people I've met in a long time. She radiated joy, warmth, and kindness. After an incredibly long and exhausting day, that simple interaction completely changed my mood. The pastries absolutely lived up to the experience. I had the jalapeño cheese pastry, and it was outstanding. Even cold, it was flaky on the outside, soft on the inside, with just the right amount of spice. I caught myself wishing I'd bought another one before I even finished it. My family tried the apple pastry and the sugar donut, and both were equally impressed. The apple pastry was beautifully flaky--you could actually hear the crisp layers with every bite--and the sugar donut disappeared with zero complaints. Great pastries are one thing, but combining exceptional quality with genuinely kind people is what makes a place memorable. I actually considered turning around to buy more before heading home, but I was simply too exhausted after such a long day. That alone tells me everything I need to know. Wow, King's Donuts! The ladies working here are incredibly kind, patient, attentive, and generous. They even gave us an extra white-frosted sprinkled donut our child had been eyeing, plus some donut holes. And to top it off, they're BTS ARMY too - forever we are young! Delicious and reasonably priced donuts! I got a maple glazed, original glazed, glazed old fashioned, and chocolate old fashioned and was amazed at my bill. And amazed again to open my bag and find a handful of donut holes they tossed in for free :) Even better, their raised donuts were very fluffy and the old fashioneds were perfect. We tried their Bear Claw and Maple Iced doughnut today. Both were yeast raised donuts, which are my favorite, and they were incredibly fluffy and soft. I especially enjoyed the Bear Claw. The doughnut was made really well, with a nice cinnamon filling on the inside and a good sugar crust on the outside. It was really delicious. The Maple Iced doughnut was pretty good too, although I wish they had added a little more maple icing. Still, both of them were outstanding overall. Donuts were my pregnant wife's craving this morning so to King's we went! Small shop in Concord with a great vibe, indoor seating available. Nice people who work there and felt happy to see us My wife decided on a chocolate bar a plain glazed. I saw their container of breakfast croissant sandwiches that only had one left and so of course, I had to try it. It was a jalepeno, ham, and cheese sandwich. There was a long Line when I got to the donut shop. It did go fast. The apple fritter I ordered was ok. My only problem was that its tasted like old oil. Also it did taste oily. I've had apple fritters where it tasted fresh and not oily. read more

Had a random craving for donuts so decided to check this place out. My most recent donut experiences were grocery store donuts or Krispy Kreme and of course, this place blew those out of the water. I love me a good classic glazed donut and these were so pillowy, soft, and had the perfect amount of glaze on them. I also got a maple bar which, chefs kiss. I've also run into "gourmet donut shops" focus more on presentation, hype, and crazy toppings, just to end up with a stale dry donut. We found place on instagram and decided to give it a try. It's in a shopping center so plenty of parking. The place is small but they had about 5 tables. They sold some drinks and they had some donuts. Not a huge sale but a good amount. The prices were what I think was reasonable for a dozen $17. The service is fast here so you're in and out. I've always thought King's donuts were delicious, but didn't realize how epically good they were until i had to try someone else's donuts on Monday when King's is closed. Showed up at that other location at opening and those donuts tasted stale. Showed up at King's at 4:30 this morning and had my faith restored that there is indeed something special about fresh donuts at opening time. I just inhaled 2 because they (sugar raised and chocolate french cruller) were lighter than air. I'm a custard fiend, but not that just add water crap, real custard. King's are #1! They make bar donuts FILLED, like they should be! Who wants to eat an empty bar donut? Not me.
