A had a fantastic tuna salad sandwich, on thick multi-grain bread. It had red onions, lettuce, tomato and toasted cashews. It had just the right amount of mayo. A lot of places cut cost by adding way too much mayo. I especially loved the crunch of the cashews. For the sandwiches it does say on the menu that they include sprouts so if you don't like them like me, make sure you tell them not to put any in. It also said whether I wanted half a whole sandwich. I thought who wants a half a sandwich? Well guess what, these sandwiches are huge, so you'll be fine with just a half sandwich. I also had the chocolate chip with and without nuts and oatmeal cookies. They were amazing as well, so fresh. The service was quick and friendly. More of a to go place. Cherry turnover 4/5 Chocolate croissant 3/5 I asked for the croissant heated and that was my fault because it made it warm but no longer flakey. Came here for the first time this past weekend as I was on the area and always down to try new bakeries. The display of pastries was not appealing. I was in there the afternoon and kind of put all the remaining pastries of the day on top. To be honest, most looked like supermarket pastries. Since I was here, i decided to get a raspberry cookie and an apple turnover. I thought the cookie was good.. Nice texture and good raspberry filling. I had the apple turnover a few days later, heated up, and thought it was ok. It was light and flaky but overall messy. This reminded me most of a supermarket pastry than the cookie. Huge shoutout to Sweet Bakery in the Clayton Station shopping center off Kirker Pass Rd. & Clayton Rd! I was throwing a 10am birthday party for my daughter and decided to do a breakfast spread rather than ordering pizza at 10am (that didn't sound appealing). I went in a few days before and spoke with the owner's son, Doug. He is awesome and has great customer service! I placed an order for a bunch of breakfast pastries, breakfast sandwiches and donuts and asked to have them ready at 9am. Saturday morning, I received a text from Doug that the order was ready. Let me tell you, all the food was delicious. It was fresh, packaged carefully and just so good. He even threw in some cookies for the kids. Don't sleep on this place, I highly recommend you check them out. I will be using them for any type of breakfast catering moving forward. They also make cakes and cupcakes too. read more

Its been years , went back this week and was very disappointed with their pastries. The ruchelug cookies were $2 a piece and completely underbaked: i threw them all away they were so bad and they weren't cheap. The Danish was bad too. No more mocha cake which was my favorite. They have really good cookies here! But their sandwiches are lacking flavor, and for a bakery, the bread was dry by 1pm. This is very similar to Sweet Affair but SA has that edge of spice that this just doesn't have. The location is nice, easy parking, and the service was helpful. Ok so I have been here about five times since the end of June. I'm not coming back. First, I ordered a mini german chocolate cake for my mom's birthday. It was about $15-20 and it was terrible. Safeway has better cakes and they're frozen. But I figured it was a fail because it wasn't an item on the menu. I came a few other times because I like this apricots pastry they have there, but the pieces are not even the length of my thumb and they charge about $1.50 each. But it's my favorite thing to eat there. Last weekend, I saw some cookies and I could tell just by the look of them they were made that day, but $2.00 a piece for medium sized cookie. Whole foods has very large individually wrapped cookies for the same price. Today, I went and I could tell the cookies weren't fresh, but I asked and she yes. That was a lie. I can taste the refrigeration of other savory foods in this cookie. My purchase total is never less than $10, for three cookies and 2 tiny pieces of pastry, and its cash only, so I've had to walk over to walgreens a few times, buy something for nothing just to get cash back. Really good fresh bakery! They make everything from scratch. Best homemade almond poppy seed muffin I've ever had. My husband said they have the best breakfast sandwiches as well. I tried sweet bakery during my lunch break one day. I got a chicken salad sandwich add tomatoes. Unfortunately they did not add tomatoes and I didn't notice till I was back at work. It was a bit of a bummer. They also only accept cash so make sure you have some on hand if you are going. My sandwich was big in size and since I called and placed my order I got a cookie as well. The bread was nice and fresh. The cookie was ok. I think I paid about $9 for my sandwich. It was pretty tasty so I will probably try again another time.
