Okay, so I might throw my next birthday party here. Not even kidding--Mochi Donut in Martinez is that cute. From the moment I walked in, the aesthetic had me. While I was at the self-serve kiosk picking out some goodies, the sweetest staff member came over to help me out--patient, kind, and just made the experience even better. I was looking for the store front with the name Mochi Dough (Donut) but it's sold inside Bober Tea. Wasn't fond of having to only order on the tablet screens... when you have a staff member behind the counter. No cash. Went around 1pm and they still had a good variety of mochi donuts left. Unique flavors and perfect for last minute gatherings. Everyone loved it so it was worth the trip. read more

Nice looking place but it doesn't look like the photos on instagram. Not gluten free. The owners do t know much of what they are serving there but they are decent people. The donuts were very chewy/ gummy like. It's definitely not a place I'd go to again. Unless I'm going for a milk tea because that was very good. read more

I was very impressed on how cute this establishment is, very aesthetic , to me pink is a whole mood, so they got me there! A few things you might want to know before you visit , there's plenty parking since is inside a shopping center (by a Home Depot and Walmart in Martinez). As soon as you walk in place your order on the screen to your left. ONLY DEBIT OR CREDIT ! When placing the order you can chose how sweet you want your drink by percentage, you will chose how many donuts you want in a box (you will chose the flavor once they call your name). The flavors change but I'm not sure how often. A single donut is $3, 3 for $7.50, 6 for $15 and $27.50 for a dozen. They do take a bit to prepare your order , however you can take cute pictures while they are getting it ready. Customer Service is outstanding, the staff goes above and beyond, very friendly and caring. There's swings , tables with cute chairs to seat. They have a restroom, the establishment is clean , well organized, great for a Matcha and a donut! I believe you got to come at least once to see what's the hype for yourself ! read more

If you love pink and love mochi donuts, THIS IS FOR YOU!! Very aesthetic girly place! Everything is PINK!! As soon as you get in you look to your left and you'll see two kiosk to order your food. They only take card, apple pay and no cash. After you order you can take pictures around the place while waiting. They have walls full of pink flowers, swings, and pink ball pit! They have a lot of mochi donuts flavors so we had to try all of them and got the 24 pieces and it did not disappoint. Everything was freshly made! My favorite one is Taro Coconut & Pink Champagne. For drinks, you're able to change the sweetness level & ice level of your drink. Service was good. The employee was very pleasant! Okay, they earn a couple of stars just for the flower covered walls, the neon, and the ball pit! Ordering and payment is all done on one of the two wall mounted panels. Not entirely intuitive, so my first time ordering took extra time to explore the menu and options. Luckily, it wasn't busy or I would have been holding up the line (I waited for a panel and the couple in front of me were still putting in their order after I finished). Not going a full 5 star here because I do consider human interaction and welcoming atmosphere in my rating and the no-contact model really takes away from those experiences. And where I think no contact might improve the experience at a gas station, for example, I'm still not sold when it comes to restaurants. So, the donuts! I'm on kind of a mochi kick at the moment which is how I found this place. I love them! The donuts themselves have a great mochi bounce, but they are still tender. Much better if they are fresh. On our second visit, they didn't taste a fresh as on two other visits and it was a noticeable difference. The icing can be pretty sweet. If that's not your thing, they have some with cinnamon sugar (churro) or powdered sugar (funnel cake) topping. Those are my favorites. The black sesame is also a stand-out. It might be in my head, but the icing doesn't seem as sweet on that one and the sesame flavor is really good. read more

I went to this place yesterday. The shop is in a strip mall with Walmart, Home Depot and couple restaurants in it. Parking lot looked pretty full but there were several parking spots in front of the shop. The shop looks very clean and very pretty with pink flowers decorated everywhere. They have two ordering kiosks to the left when you walk in which make ordering easy. I accidentally ordered matcha brown sugar drink without boba because the picture showed boba in the drink but if you read the description then you will find the boba not included. My advice is to make sure you read the description so you don't get disappointed having a drink without boba. I also ordered mochi donuts and surprisingly they were out of matcha mochi donut. I love everything matcha so this was a bit of disappointment. This place is definitely a cool place to meet and chat with friends. read more

Delicious and unique shop! Staff seems nice but no real communication as you have to order basically online not in person. There are two computer screens from which you order from then they call you when your order is ready. The doughnuts are tasty. I had to try one of each. The matcha is delicious as well as the churro. My family said they could not just pick one. My niece loved cotton candy and the mint. They change the menu depending on the season as well. The boba's are great and made well! Wow wow wow! I've had mochinut and third culture, but this place edges them out. I recommend eating the donuts asap. They have a nice crispy crunch 9n the outside and chewy middle. 11/17/23- Pink, Pink, and more Pink! Anyone! Tried this place based on yelp reviews. The interior is well decorated with flowers all over. Pink pink pink! There's two kiosks where you can place order and pay there. No cashier but yourself. The guy that was there is good and helps you out when you have a question. The kiosk itself is easy to understand. No Cash is accepted here, only card. Tips can be included when you pay on any amount you wanted. Ordered brown sugar milk tea, but was disappointed because all along I thought the boba is included but there's none. On the photo where you order, it's showing the drink has boba, so I thought there was. The tea is more on the dark, bitter side, which in my opinion Mochi Donut in Concord wins! The mocha latte blended smoothie kind was ok, again, more on darker side but it's mocha so that's expected. The yen coin with cheese is just okay. It's just a pancake with mozarella in the middle. It would be better if that's crunchy. Now, for the mochi donuts- flavors were pretty good. The dough is more on the drier, crunchy kind rather than soft. The icing on top is messy to deal with!! Most mochi donuts does not have the sticky, messy, toppings. Mostly are matte kind that does not stick to hands when you eat it! On this one- you have been warned that your hands will be messy! It will stick to your hands as you eat it. Interesting kind of mochi! I prefer the not-so-messy ones! You'll see what I'm talkin about when you put your hands to it and grab a bite! Ordered ube, cookies and cream, raspberry, funnel cake, churro and chocolate crunch! It's good but messy to eat. No Korean corn dogs here. The area where you eat has a good space- 3 cloth pinkbchairs needs an upgrade to the other leather ones as they are all dirty. Please consider. Especially it's pink and dirt is very visible. There's a swing for taking photos I guess and several areas for pink flowers are good to take a snap shot! This is a good boba spot but not my number 1 pick. All Doughnuts taste great! But I ordered the matcha brown sugar and expecting the matcha to be on top of the brown sugar instead my drink was a mix and it looked like caca brown. Plus they should really have alcohol wipes for the customers to clean the screens before they order, because they were nasty, and I had to clean it with a napkin. Maybe have covers for chairs that they can wash? because the chairs were stained too so it made it look dirty to me. I love the concept. I just feel they can execute by making sure it looks clean inside for the kids. read more

The review is really for 3.5 stars. I wasn't impressed with the churro donut. It's missing something maybe needs more sugar or cinnamon.. the other mochi donuts were very good. My favorite was the coconut and then the Carmel apple in second place. I was pleasantly surprised that these donuts were not too sweet. They are even more enjoyable if you heat it up for 10 seconds in the microwave. Serious that is a game changer! That quickly made the donut from good to great. The place was very cute too. Very good for Instagram people with great signs and even swings and a ball-pit. Even if Instagram isn't your thing I think it will be fun with friends or a good group get together. Now the deductions happen because maybe I'm old school but how to pay for your donuts makes no sense....I rather wait in line and pay and pick them out. Instead you go to the kiosk you pay with a credit card after you select whatever drinks you want and for donuts you just put the quantity. So I'm choosing one box and then I pay. I then have to wait for my name to be called...even though I was the first one there and the only customer at the moment that submitted an order. I have to wait for someone to bring a box and my name to be called. Then I can pick my donuts....as you can tell I was deeply annoyed. This just makes no sense to me and in fact is very poor for costumer service. I will return but I'm hoping the person behind the counter can be more proactive. read more

It's 7:30 pm on a Saturday night and we drive all the way to Martinez to try this place out. Hoping to buy a box of mochi donuts but they only had a tray of bubble gum () flavor. We were disappointed but my son said he would give it a try. Tried to purchase a donut but was told I couldn't without buying a boba drink. Um ... no thanks?? Skipped this place and drove to Mochinut which had plenty of donuts and 12 flavors to pick from. read more
