    Variety box!

These donuts are unreal! The donuts melt in your mouth and the flavors are phenomenal. I only heard about them through Instagram and I'm so happy I checked them out! Their site is very easy to navigate. Order a box of 6 donuts as a variety pack or pick your own flavors! You can also order donut holes if you contact them directly. They share an industrial kitchen with other small businesses. You can find them at Lafayette Kitchen. Make a left at the light and there's a small parking lot where you can park and call the business. They'll bring out the donuts to you.

Old fashioneds are my favorite donuts and these were amazing! We tried the ube, specialty vanilla and lemon poppyseed. All of them were delicious, and the ube was our favorite. You order ahead of time and then pickup on Friday or Saturday. Once you arrive, you simply text and they are brought out to you. We will definitely be back!

I had no idea there was a local start up, woman owned donut business serving it up in Lafayette until they partnered with Chicks n Love pizza!!! My chicks let me know whats up & made it so easy!!! I simply ordered my donuts on the Founders website & the Chicks were kind enough to pick up the donuts to deliver them with my pizza order!!! Win Win!!! Who doesn't love donuts & pizza??? First off, I love donuts. However, I never get old fashioned donuts ever. They taste fine just not my first choice. These are homemade old fashioned donuts in some interesting flavor combos. I ordered 6. You can only choose 3 flavors, I wish I could've tried more but chose the red velvet since it is a limited flavor, lemon poppyseed, and cinnamon sugar. All come topped with a donut hole, so cute!!! For an old fashioned donut they were tasty & moist. I hate dry anything! My fav was the cinnamon sugar, then poppyseed. The red velvet disappointed in flavor. Honestly it didn't have much flavor in the donut or the frosting. Definitely worth a try if you love donuts and especially old fashioned donuts! Wish I could've tried the vanilla & the ube! Next time!!!

The latte was okay, but the food definitely took center stage. The staff were very friendly and well-intentioned, but the communication was lacking. Our entire group found the ordering process to be quite confusing. It wasn't immediately clear where to go or how the flow worked, which took away a bit from the otherwise great vibe. Overall, a great spot for a meal.

What I didn't like is that no one comes out to check any outdoor tables that need to be cleared. I went in and asked a young man behind the counter if someone could buss a couple tables we were hoping to sit at. He didn't smile. He said he'd do it for us. Well, he never came out. I found another older gentleman if he could clear out some tables. He happily obliged. With a smile! And said, "I will do that right now." While we were eating, it was this same man who cleared tables. He's the best! Friendly and always smiling. Meanwhile, the first young man I asked originally, walked past dirty tables. He walked by a dirty table twice. Anyway... we ordered: Flat Iron Steak Sandwich - flavorful and delicious Avocado Toast - I love that the avocado is seasoned. I wish the bread was a little more toasted and that the arugula was seasoned or drizzled with olive oil. SB Cheddar Burger - I love that their patty was well-seasoned bursting with flavor! Delicious!! The fries were also great! Enjoyed the ketchup with its smoky flavor.

Will we get good or mediocre drinks today? Will our drinks be accurate or would we need to spend some more time to get our drinks fixed? Always a gamble, but hey, I do love to gamble (usually in a different setting lol). Sometimes the drinks are really good. The ones I've had the most consistencies are their house milk tea and their tropical fruit tea. Recommendation is to order everything as-is since if things (such as sugar level) are adjusted, it's most likely watered down. Luckily the drinks aren't way too sweet, but still a bit sweeter than I'd like, and I'd prefer a bit more tea flavor. My daughter has been big on their Thai tea, but after some inconsistencies with flavor, she's switched to their matcha horchata drink. Pretty good, and they have other kinds of drinks like that too. My son likes the house milk tea with lychee jelly, and the husband enjoys the Oreo drinks here, but they don't taste right in my opinion. I like their house milk tea, jasmine milk tea, tropical fruit tea, and once a while, their ube taro drink. On the safe side, I normally stick with tropical tea and house milk tea at this location. Props to Lilikoi for having some "unique" drinks such as mango almighty (mango smoothie with tajin and chamoy), various horchata drinks, and more. They seem to specialize more in the tropical fruit teas, so highly recommend for those.

Since I went close to when they first opened, I thought they would get the kinks worked out so I wanted to try again before I judged. I came today (2/4/2025) after a doctor's appointment. I noticed they have ube coffee on the menu. Unfortunately, the employees told me they were out of ube. I ordered the Thai milk tea with no ice at 50% sweet. Given the heavy rain and cold weather, I asked if they could make the drink hot and they said they don't do hot drinks. Really? Every boba spot I've been to in the 4.5 years I've lived in Contra Costa County - including Sharetea, Mr. Green Bubble, Teaspoon, and Yi Fang - offer hot drinks. Everywhere EXCEPT Lilikoi. As for the drink itself, I could taste the Thai tea flavor somewhat but it seemed a bit watered down. I've had better Thai milk tea elsewhere. The drink cost $5, which is less compared to other boba spots. But I'd rather pay a bit more for drinks that don't tasted watered down. I don't think I'll return, even if in the area.

How many groceries carry "American wagyu-style beef?" or fresh Scottish salmon?" (Not to mention how nice their butchers are, they are so willing to help with any specific cuts or instructions you need). -The deli has a great selection of cold-cuts, salads and makes killer sandwiches. -The cheese dept has an excellently-curated selection, far better than the chain stores. -Their in-house produced entrees are delicious, as well as the best local bakery/bread offerings. -Their checkout staff are friendly, beyond simply emptying your cart. They offer assistance to your car and have "associates" in the parking lot to help with parking and cart retrieval. This is "old-school" service in the 21st century...(obviously, they can't charge chain-store prices; they don't have the same buying power), but I definitely get value when I shop there...kudos to Diablo Foods, you "rock!"

My gosh. So welcoming. So proud of the shop, its products and their leadership. I hope the owners know. First timer here and I spent $52. Service was very friendly. They do sell some company merch here. We ordered the jouraku matcha latte with oat milk. We also ordered several of their bakery items including a guava donut, buko pandan donut, mochi banana pudding, and black sesame mochi muffin. I think the donuts are the star here! They are soft and chewy, not too sweet. The flavors are pretty accurate as well for the donuts. The mochi banana pudding was unique, and enjoyable! They did recommend heating up for 1 minute, but you can probably get away with much less time than that. The black sesame mochi muffin was pretty average. The jouraku matcha latte was average; couldn't really taste much of the matcha notes, but it had more matcha flavor than some other cafes. Overall, this was a unique bakery and I would totally come back!

If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.

But, not until 2027! I had signed up for the store app. and decided to hit up their store here in Pleasant Hill, CA for a preview. There were some mixed observations for my 1st visit, which explains my 3 star rating (think a grade of C, C+ or possibly eeking out a B-, idk?). Parking's a snap behind the store in a large lot and free for up to 3 hrs. Upon my arrival to the street facing storefront, I encountered 3 of the 4 entrance doors locked from the outside. Gadzooks! How the heck do you get inside this security zone of a store, lol? Finally entered through the 1 unlocked door after naturally trying all the others first . Once inside, it would've been nice to have been greeted/welcomed by a host or floorperson for those of us unfamiliar with the store concept or the procedure of how you serve yourself. As you walk in, there's cafeteria-like trays, tongs and tray liners to your left. You grab this setup to begin your pastry and goodies selection. Pretty much self-serve from there until you queue up to pay. There's also a self-service ordering kiosk inside and you can order ahead on the Paris Baguette app. Speaking of the app, it pays to install it on your device as doing so entitles you to a free pastry with purchase upon your 1st visit. Anywhere from a $3.99-$5.99 value this is, so nothing to sneeze at. And they send you other freebies & deals through this medium also. Pricing for your basic pastries: Think Starbuck's prices + 15-20% or thereabouts. Not sure how the rewards system works here yet or how it might stack up to the aforementioned Starbuck's program or others? The pastries: Oh so good! Definitely no complaints here. If not for them being a bit on the pricier side, as alluded to already. Warm, flaky & fresh out of the oven. Parisian style. Definite niche appeal outside of your random donut shop or Starbucks' offerings. I did not try any of their different beverage options like coffees, teas, lattes or frappes this visit. No doubt this chain will succeed, as is evidenced by their rapid store growth, "newness" of the brand/concept and customer popularity. My pastry choices were the Pain Au Chocolat and the Pain Aux Raisins. One being the free one with the promotion. 10 out of 10. They also do whole bread loaves, cakes and other confectionaries + special orders. Pretty much a full service bakery, Paris style. And if you're sugar and/or calorie cautious, this bakery will no doubt appear like a mine field, lol. Everything in moderation I guess as the saying goes? It's a winner overall. Subtractions for the Fort Knox-like entrance issues and a lack of customer intro-greeting. It looked very popular inside for an early Saturday morning.
