We did not know that they usually only sell if you called in the previous day. We got lucky and the bread had just come out of the oven and we were able to buy six loaves. They were huge loaves and under $3 each. Between my family and my sister's family the bread was gone within 2 days. We also had purchased six ham and cheese croissants that were also very tasty and under $3 each (what a bargain!). The people who work there were all super nice. I completely understand why costs are rising--ingredients, labor, and overhead aren't getting any cheaper for local businesses, so an increase makes sense. However, with the current pricing, stopping by for a routine treat or grabbing a few items for the family is becoming noticeably less affordable for us. The quality and taste are still consistent, but it's shifted from a casual, regular stop to more of a rare, occasional splurge. I still love what they offer, but I really hope prices stabilize so it stays accessible for regular visits.

As the afternoon went on, it became unbearably hot inside the café. We asked the staff if they could lower the temperature, but were told that administration had taken the remote control and that employees did not have access to adjust the air conditioning. It was a very unusual explanation, and honestly, I wasn't sure whether it was true or if they simply wanted us to leave. Unfortunately, the uncomfortable temperature made it difficult to enjoy our time there, especially during a meeting. Based on this experience, I don't plan on returning anytime soon.

Multiple folks greeted me upon walking in which was lovely. After walking around the cases, I decided to ask for their recommendation. The lady did a good job asking me what I liked and recommended the spinach cheese danish. The danish was light, airy and more savory (as I had hoped). I did enjoy this shop, my only quarrel was only my personal taste. I prefer goods that are a bit more heavy on flavor- not that this was not flavorful, it was just a bit more light and airy.
