The service here was good. We sat outside upstairs and the view was nice. I enjoyed a Ponce Inlet tap beer. We had the mussels and clams bowl. The clams were good but the mussels were tough and not a lot of flavor. The clam chowder was too salty and tasted too much of ham or bacon. Went for lunch on a day trip to St. Augustine, and found Crabby's across the street from pier . I had the Boom Boom tacos they were yummy, although a little spicy for me ( could only eat 2 out of the 3 ). Wife had the stuffed flounder and she really enjoyed it . Mom had coconut shrimp and it was also yummy. Really liked that they had an outdoor upstairs patio and cornhole games street level, I could see hanging out here after a day of surfing. We had one mix up and Mom got Boom Boom shrimp instead of coconut shrimp, but the server took care right away, and didn't charge up for the mix up !! My wife and I loved eating lunch here! The restaurant is roomy with both indoor and outdoor seating available. We enjoyed the decor. The material on my booth seat appeared to be flaking, so hopefully they repair that soon. The booth was large and very comfortable. Our server was excellent. I'm sorry her name didn't print out on the receipt. We shared the Oysters 3 ways, and I will say these were the freshest, most tender oysters I've ever had. Each of the 3 different styles were delicious and we were glad we decided to do this to sample all of them instead of ordering one specifically and receiving all 12 of the same type. I had the Bairdi Crab and am not joking when I say how tender and fresh it tasted. We opted to have it fire roasted instead of steamed and highly recommend you do the same! This way it comes with a dusting of old bay spice which just adds to the overall yumminess. My wife loved the grilled shrimp on skewers. I tasted one and was very pleased with the spices and flavor. The parking lot seems ample and the location is awesome if you want to go for a walk on the beach before or after. This place is absolutely fantastic! Service and food were amazing! We spent four days in St. Augustine and had a meal here each day. Very kid friendly. My favs were the fried grouper sandwich and the the Key West platter. Gouda Grits were crazy good! Breakfast was amazing as well. Kids loved the Belgian waffles, and the Eggs Benedict were perfect! We sat on the upper deck and stayed super toasty with their heaters. Enjoyed looking down at some people playing cornhole. They also have giant jenga! There was live music- just very chill typical guitar/singing. The gator nuggets were great. Spicy marg was not good but they exchanged it for a reg marg which was good. The baby back ribs with steamed shrimp was not impressive. Fries were awesome though. We went to St. Augustine for New Year's this year to enjoy the weather, fireworks, tours of old town, Nights of Lights, and other festivities. We stayed at a condo of off Pier Point South and picked Crabbys Beachside for dinner since it was just across the street on A1A. We sat at the bar to get a good view of the football games on the TVs and were impressed with the great food and drinks poured by Garrett. The next night we were going to try another place but it was more crowded so we went back to Crabbys, and were more than satisfied again with Garrett. The third night we came back from an excursion late since it was so close and had Evan at the bar who didn't disappoint us at all. Finally the four night, New Year's eve we decided to return to what had served us well so far and had Evan and Chelsea at the bar and they topped off our culinary trip with great drinks and food once again. Over the four nights at Crabbys we we had gator nuggets, calamari, mahi tacos, gouda cheese grits, house salad, and boom boom shrimp...all were delicious and plentiful. We finished off our trip to St. Augustine with a final stop at Crabbys New Years morning to snag a T-shirt and say farewell! We will be back! read more

Our server assured my friend it was excellent & even asked if she wanted to meet the chef who would prepare her grits. The next thing I knew " T" ( the " grit" chef) was at our table discussing grits with my friend. Our appetizers came out in a reasonable amount of time after ordering however, we did have to ask for flatware & plates to enjoy our appetizers. Both the calamari & the cheese stuffed egg rolls were excellent. Our mains came out not too long after we finished our appetizers. My friend who was leary of ordering the shrimp & grits said it was 1 of the best she's ever had. Kudos to chef " T" on that one. My husband had the fish & chips and was still raving about the fish the next day. I had the bang bang shrimp tacos. They were 3 big tacos & I could not manage to eat all 3 tasty tacos. Overall, we had an excellent experience. Crabby's is a very casual place with some nice outdoor seating options with some live music the night we were there. Had a great experience here tonight. Food was fantastic but the customer service was even better. I've been in the industry pretty much whole life and on a management level now. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the managers Rachel who was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. To be honest I thought she was a general or regional manager the way she handled herself and how much she was helping her servers out running food and such. When you're in the business you watch for this stuff when you're dining out. She was exceptional. Thank you Rachel! Also the restaurant was very open and clean. Great environment. I have been to Crabby's twice now. I really appreciate the upgrade to the upstairs which is definitely the place to sit when you go. There is shade and fans that make the heat manageable. The food is good. I would recommend the avocado egg rolls! They were delicious. The only downside is the price. With tip, 2 adults, one child, and 2 alcoholic drinks our bill was $75. I get it is the location the high cost of everything, but it's just not a place I would pop by for an inexpensive lunch. read more

I really was hoping for a much better experience. Reviews were great and the menu had some interesting breakfast choices. Arrived around 11 and the lower dining room was full so they seated us upstairs. I noticed the place was immaculately clean but when we entered the dining room g room, the smell of bleach was strong and districted me from dining. Started with coffee and needed another due to the creamers they provided being not quite fresh. My husband (a southern boy)got the biscuits and gravy and said they were done well and were flavorful and not greasy from the sausage. I also had a plain biscuit which did not seem fresh. He enjoyed them. I had a house specialty Chilaquiles. It was overpowered by the pico de gallo and I ended up finding a hair in the middle of it. The service was excellent and the manager acknowledged the hair issue and gave us a refund for that meal. Even though the hair and creamer spoiled my meal the service responded appropriately and our waitress was timely.
