We were a party of 6 seated outdoors upstairs at our request. If you look hard enough you can just see a wee bit of ocean across the street. And that was enough for those in our party who wanted to see the water. Our experience did not start off too well but happily improved. After being seated we sat & sat & sat for at least 20 minutes or more before our server wizzed by & said she'd be right there. Just as I began to get agitated a lovely perky young woman came to take our drink order. By this time we were all starved & bombarded her with our drink, app, and main order. She wasn't phased in the least. One in our party loves grits but was afraid to order the shrimp & grits entree for fear it would not be good. Our server assured my friend it was excellent & even asked if she wanted to meet the chef who would prepare her grits. The next thing I knew " T" ( the " grit" chef) was at our table discussing grits with my friend. Our appetizers came out in a reasonable amount of time after ordering however, we did have to ask for flatware & plates to enjoy our appetizers. Both the calamari & the cheese stuffed egg rolls were excellent. Our mains came out not too long after we finished our appetizers. My friend who was leary of ordering the shrimp & grits said it was 1 of the best she's ever had. Kudos to chef " T" on that one. My husband had the fish & chips and was still raving about the fish the next day. I had the bang bang shrimp tacos. They were 3 big tacos & I could not manage to eat all 3 tasty tacos. Overall, we had an excellent experience. Crabby's is a very casual place with some nice outdoor seating options with some live music the night we were there. I don't expect much from a beachside restaurant, but Crabby's was a fantastic surprise! The menu is mostly fried seafood, but they do have several tempting boils on the menu. Their cocktail menu is creative and fun, and several in our group sampled a few of the unique combinations and were happy with them. The conch fritters we ordered for the table were unfortunately burnt and not enjoyable, but we ate them anyway. All the entrees were good (grouper tacos, mahi tacos, and fried Royal Red shrimp), but the standout were the Royal Reds. For those new to this treat, these are deep-water shrimp that are sweeter than local shrimp with a texture more like lobster. We were concerned that frying such a sweet and delicate-tasting food would somehow diminish its flavor, but we were totally wrong. The fried royal reds were sweet, succulent, and they had a great "pop" on the first bite. They also were not overly breaded. Both taco dinners were great, with perfectly cooked fish and lots of fresh toppings. Of the desserts, the key lime pie was rather ordinary, but the chocolate cake was immense and as promised a total chocolate overload. Service throughout was friendly and attentive. Our visitors from California can't wait to return, particularly to eat Royal Reds again! read more

Had a great experience here tonight. Food was fantastic but the customer service was even better. I've been in the industry pretty much whole life and on a management level now. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the managers Rachel who was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. To be honest I thought she was a general or regional manager the way she handled herself and how much she was helping her servers out running food and such. When you're in the business you watch for this stuff when you're dining out. She was exceptional. Thank you Rachel! Also the restaurant was very open and clean. Great environment. I really was hoping for a much better experience. Reviews were great and the menu had some interesting breakfast choices. Arrived around 11 and the lower dining room was full so they seated us upstairs. I noticed the place was immaculately clean but when we entered the dining room g room, the smell of bleach was strong and districted me from dining. Started with coffee and needed another due to the creamers they provided being not quite fresh. My husband (a southern boy)got the biscuits and gravy and said they were done well and were flavorful and not greasy from the sausage. I also had a plain biscuit which did not seem fresh. He enjoyed them. I had a house specialty Chilaquiles. It was overpowered by the pico de gallo and I ended up finding a hair in the middle of it. The service was excellent and the manager acknowledged the hair issue and gave us a refund for that meal. Even though the hair and creamer spoiled my meal the service responded appropriately and our waitress was timely. I would not have given a high rating even without the problems because the food was not that tasty. read more

I have been to Crabby's twice now. I really appreciate the upgrade to the upstairs which is definitely the place to sit when you go. There is shade and fans that make the heat manageable. The food is good. I would recommend the avocado egg rolls! They were delicious. The only downside is the price. With tip, 2 adults, one child, and 2 alcoholic drinks our bill was $75. I get it is the location the high cost of everything, but it's just not a place I would pop by for an inexpensive lunch. read more

Everything about the experience was pleasant from the shady second floor patio with a partial ocean view to our attentive server. The food was tasty and portions adequate. We stopped at Crabbys, stood in doorway while hostess and bartender were yacking. after being noticed, we got seated outside. ordered fries and wings. While waiting, we were treated to the smell of a cigar from a foot outside the non smoking area. waited.. then got fries because the wings still weren't ready. wings were obviously frozen and dry. Then before leaving, I hit the mens room, obviously had not been cleaned in some time, smelling of urine. floor in restaurant was also very dirty and sticky. After leaving, both of us had sour stomachs for a while. Needless to say, won't be back, shoud have stuck with our known favorites. read more

My wife and I both ordered over medium eggs, mine were underdone with a lot of white runny goo and my wife's may as well have been called blackened eggs the were so overdone (and black). I got biscuits and gravy. A very thrifty spoonful of gravy and my sausage pattys fell apart when I put a fork in them. My wife's steak bowl had steak that tasted sour. We went to crabbys beachside Saturday 9/27/25. 11:45 am for a seafood lunch. Never again. It started with an all water down frozen drink. Then after 20 minutes got a frozen version that had no taste at all. Then finally got the food. My crab cakes were hard and dry. Along with my redbeans and rice. The worst food ever! You go to Florida on vacation for Great Seafood and you get CRAP and they can't even make a beach frozen drink! Don't waste your money! read more

Our local friend had a mix experience here and so did we. The fish and shrimp chip platter was very good. On the other had, the chicken in the chicken sandwich was dry and not enjoyable. The tartar sauce is suspended from a plastic bottle and was of salad dressing consistency. The fries had a taste seasoning and were on the salter side. Meals come with good choices of sides and one can substitute salad for fried for just a couple of dollars more. They have drink specials on certain nights. Patrons can sit inside or outside and there seems to be ample parking. Our waitress, Soaring Eagle, was nice and was helpful in our selection of food.
