Insanity is making the decision to eat here and expecting anything different that what I've experienced in the past. Hello, you can call me Insanity or Insane for short. This was a last minute dinner decision with the family and obviously I had my doubts. Would have loved to of been proven wrong. Walked in and saw all of the patrons sitting at their tables, and there wasn't a cotton patch employee in sight (excluding the kitchen staff which you can see from the front of the restaurant). Within five minutes of standing at the host stand I noticed a man stand up from his table and start searching for what I would assume was his waiter/waitress. Red flag. His kids and wife soon joined him in their search for service. Another 3-5 minutes went by and there is still absolutely zero service going on anywhere in the restaurant. Where are the employees, a manager, a freaking bell so people can alert this place of customers trying to spend money. Another couple minutes pass by and finally 3 cotton patch members emerge from the back. One of them is holding 2 plates of food and the other 2 are just walking emptied handed. I'm all for working together as a team and supporting each other, but geez who's running this place. The plates of food were dropped off at their table and wouldn't you know it, they all 3 went right back to wherever they came from. I'm assuming they were all just waiters and hadn't been trained on the host stand duties, so I guess I can't blame them. As you could imagine now, me and the family made the decision to just walk out. I doubt anyone else expect for the other patrons realized we had been waiting at the host stand, so I guess from their point of view nothing really went wrong. However, the fact that you do not have anyone standing at the host stand to greet and provide service to your customers is beyond me. I think I'm more upset that we were forced to eat Taco Bell than I am with our experience there. Don't worry everyone, I am committed to the lessons I've learned at this place and will not bore y'all with the same complaints. I honestly wish cotton patch the best of luck though because their food is really good. I just can't see a clear path for success with the current focus and commitment to customer service. read more

To-Go service is ridiculous. For the fourth time our order was missing items. Tonight we did not receive the cinnamon apples for the pork chops, very disappointing. There were no rolls, very, very disappointing. There was only enough cream gravy to cover the mashed potatoes and 1/2 of the chicken fried steak, very, very, very disappointing. And last, but certainly not least, there was no ice cream included with both orders of the Dr. Pepper cake, very, very, very, VERY disappointing!! Disappointing to the point of anger! Oh yea, mouthwatering fish n shrimp, queso with brisket and a nice caesar side salad.....what more could a fluffy guy ask for....fish with good breading and a nice sturdy meaty body that isn't mushy and shrimp that are breaded perfectly that it doesn't fall of as if a 3yr old did it. I order food on 6/4/2020 around 630 as a delivery from the Spring Store. The food was late getting to me which was okay because they where still making the food. However the food sat while they where making the queso which caused it to be cold upon arrive. This was not the drivers fault I am not that far from the restaurant. This is the last time we're ordering to go from here as it's the 3rd time our order has either been completely wrong or missing half the items. Even more frustrated this time as we paid for extra sides & literally got 4 helpings of mashed potatoes. Like c'mon! Then, go to cut into the chicken fried steak..it's literally FROZEN. When I called, they said they come in fresh, so that's even more worrisome seeing as it's ice cold & hard as a rock. A steak knife didn't make a dent in it. Absolutely inedible. So I was craving fried mushrooms so a friend of mine and I stopped in. We were seated right away at the same time as the couple next to us. We watched the couple get drinks and then their food and we still hadn't had anyone take our drink order. The waiter who was helping the table next to ours kept looking at us then walking in the other direction. We got up and dragged a bartender over to take our drink order. She left and volunteered to take our food order too upon returning with our drinks. We had to ask the host for our normal basket of rolls. (We got one roll each.) Whoever was supposed to be helping us, I'm not sure we ever saw him/her. My friend who's first time it was coming here, has already decided this will also be her last time. This location needs better management and employee training. I'll only go to the Georgetown location from here out. I've tried the Round Rock a few times - and each time they're out of an ingredient or two to make a dish, so they've made substitutions we didn't learn about until being served. The kitchen is slow. Waitstaff can often be seen standing around chatting it up with each other while customers at tables are trying to get their attention. Tonight was the final straw. I thought I would try just dessert and coffee (how hard could that be, right?) My server did tell me the coffee would take a couple of minutes. I asked for a dessert recommendation. Special Butter Cake, it was. Ten minutes later, he sets the dessert down on my table and says the coffee will be right out, walking off. I took a bite of dessert and it was nuked to the point it scalded my tongue. With no drink to sip, I couldn't continue with the dessert. Not to mention, it seemed a little strange. The dessert had been heated until the top layer didn't really resemble cheesecake any longer. Also, there was no caramel sauce. Ten more minutes later, he sets the coffee down. By this point, I'm seriously wishing he had set a glass of water down either when I sat - or when he put the dessert on the table. Just dying for something to sip. Then comes the check. $8.66. I paid with a fifty. Server brought back change and counted out $41. And in doing so, he selected his tip amount: $.34. The crazy thing is, I usually tip at least 50% when I occupy someone's table for just dessert and coffee - regardless of the service. But that was the final straw. So happy we stopped here for dinner. This was our first visit and it was absolutely delicious. We ordered: Cobb Salad: This was the biggest Cobb salad we have ever seen. The ingredients were super fresh. The ratio of lettuce was outstanding - so many other places serve this salad with 90% lettuce, not here. There was tons of avocado, cheese, eggs, bacon and more. This dish was under $10 and totally worth it. My husband couldn't even eat it all there was so much. CPC Potato Cheese Soup: Big chunks of potatoes in a delicious creamy cheesy broth. Totally worth getting again. Pumpkin Crunch Dessert: One of the best pumpkin desserts I have ever had. So much more than just a pumpkin pie. If you like pumpkin, you have got to order this! Today was the first time me and the wife agreed on something quick, easy and close to the house. Not only was the menu large enough with options for everyone, but they had a promotion deal on the website. The food was fast, (24 min dinner time wait) it came all perfectly packed (gravy on side without even asking) and the curbside system they have was fast and safe. It is close to my spot and has very good and cost efficient choices. So far I've tried the salmon and chicken fried chicken both very good. Not sure why folks have given so few stars. We ordered the fried green tomatoes and homemade ranch and it was outstanding. Then followed the fresh hot rolls that were divine. I had the chicken sandwich and it was a bit smaller chicken breast than typical but the flavor was delicious. This is the second time in a row that I've ordered to go and been disappointed. The first time my mushrooms were so hard I think they were fried and then refried. When I called to place my second order I asked for extra gravy for both dinners and only got one extra. I also asked them to please do not overcook the mushrooms. And explained what had happen the last time I ordered. This time I got the mushrooms but no dipping sauce. I called and told the lady what has been happening these past orders. She responded with that I could go pick it up. Now, if I could have gone to pick it up our dinner I would have but I physically can not. She asked if I wanted to speak with a manager. I said yes. 18 mins later a so called manager came to the phone. I explained what has been happening and he had no kind of explanation or resolve. The worst experience ever. Service was slow. My pork chops were undercooked, the baked potatoes are literally covered with salt and even though ordered loaded, had zero butter. We requested cornbread several times and never received it. The worst part was our son's 16.00 steak orderd medium was barely past rare on most of it. Visited Cotton Patch Cafe on Wednesday with my husband and son. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door and were sat almost immediately. Our waitress, Katie McCoy was absolutely amazing! She was so sweet and very attentive. I don't think we even drank half a glass of our water before she refilled it. She was also amazing with our son. She snuck us some extra Oreos for him!! Our food was out quick and Was delicious. We didn't have any room in our stomachs for dessert but they all looked amazing. I had heard about this place from a friend who lives nearby. I was hyped af because I am a fiend for chicken and dumplins. We placed an order for pick up at 7pm and get there just after 7pm. And then we waited at the area where it says "pick up" And then we waited. And then we waited some more. Guess what happened next? More waiting.
