Cup of life in each latte serving, breakfast for the soul! I enjoyed grabbing a cup of honey latte and turkey egg sandwich today at Copa Vida. Not only are their lattes beautiful, they are tasty with just the right amount of boldness. Their breakfast meals are served warm and fresh, and my sandwich was so good! One star off because my hubbie said he couldn't taste the sausage in his sausage burrito, but I personally enjoyed each bite and sip of my meal. The place is cute! Quaint little coffee shop with just enough seating. Service is friendly and quick. I would definitely be back. Brought life into my day with the perfect cup of latte!
Cute place, decent coffee, good vibes. A nice amount of tables and chairs inside and outside. Seems like a great place to do some work and hangout at, it has perfect study and work vibes written over it. Very fast service! Thanks for the beautiful heart latte art. I met with a friend here on Thursday morning and enjoyed the food! Upon arrival, you order and take a seat with an assigned number. The girl taking our order was very sweet, but I must have missed the part when she said the drinks are picked up at the counter. When we received our food, we asked about the beverages - the waiter mentioned those are picked up at the counter. The barista was kind enough to remake the espresso shot for my friend since it had been sitting out for over 10+ minutes :) The food is tasty! We sat outside (perfect weather - overcast) and we shared an order of the avocado toast and the French toast plate. Good coffee, great portions with aligned price points. The inside is quite large, but it felt like something was missing... warmth/ decoration. Aside from that, Definitely recommend stopping by - I'm surprised I hadn't popped in sooner!
I was so lucky to find this place after searching relentlessly for a coffee shop with Wi-Fi in Pasadena. I went to the Starbucks on fair Oaks (only outdoor seating, no outlets), that really fun one on Raymond, and I walked around for about an hour before I found Copa Vida in downtown. They had amazing coffee, outlets, Wi-Fi, and really wonderful personalities. I loved their service and I definitely had to give them a shout out. Their patrons are just as friendly. I would come back here anytime, it's like a family with really good quality, service and food
We ordered a vanilla latte as a pick me up. Service was friendly, but it took quite a while for our drinks to come out, 15 minutes. Not bad, but longer than expected. The shop wasn't completely crowded, but it warmed popular. The shop is spacious. Vanilla latte was pretty average, not too sweet. Espresso was smooth, nutty. Drink was slightly creamy. There is street parking and a parking garage nearby. Solid place to get a vanilla latte, but be prepared for a bit of a wait.
I really loved this place. I think it's some of the best coffee I've had. The service, while they were busy probably with normal patrons, had added people for the Noah Kahan collab but they made it work. We got three lattes and a cortado. The lattes and matcha were perfect and I thought the cortado really showed me that their espresso was delightful. Bold and rich. The inside was spacious and had a fair amount of seating. Tucked in a corner spot parking was a little hard but such is Pasadena. Park a little away and enjoy the neighborhood and go for a walk.
Came back here and brought some friends because of the burrito I had but wow the burrito completely changed. Got the sausage again but the potatoes weren't even crispy like last time- they were plain soft. The sausage was also MINIMAL. The insane decline in quality is very very disappointing.
Coffee here is alway good! And also their breakfast. I love their space. Plenty of table & chairs. Good for big groups. Good for hanging out with friends and/or working on your computer. There are 2 rooms basically. It gets pretty crowded though...especially on the weekend. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable about coffee. They have signature drinks and seasonal specials. We made our way through the Coffee Passport and unfortunately, Copa Vida was our least favorite. The service was a little off-putting and it was LOUD inside, both from people and music. It seemed like there were too many guests and not enough seats; people hovered trying to get the next table, which were really untidy (on and under). While we didn't get a ton to eat, it look a significant amount of time for it to come out. The coffee was okay, nothing to write home about.
There's both street and structure parking to get here. There can be a line but it moves fairly quick. After you order they'll call out your name. There's loads of seating here. The atmosphere is cozy and chill. The noise level was decent. It can be a nice place to study or meet up with a friend. The staff are nice and helpful. I got the seasonal hojicha latte. The latte was a bit hot at first but quickly cooled to a good drinking temperature. This latte was pretty good! It wasn't too sweet. I'd definitely return here again.

Good place for coffee break. Very cozy place to hang out while strolling here in Pasadena with family. Self serve. Seated on your own . Ordered Almond croissants which was yummy. Crunchy not too sweet. The Coffee Latte was very fresh .
This is the best shop I know of. Energetic, friendly staff who know and care about their product, great cold brew, the atmosphere is alive but never overwhelming. And now their smash burger is the best local cheeseburger.
Great spot for casual brunch and coffee/tea with a friend when in Old Towne! The atmosphere is very open and white, with wooden counters and a back area for more seats. However, I usually sit on the bar counter next to the register. Their croque madame is a must order! One of my favorites.. The bread is always hot and crisp on the outside, and the egg is runny on the inside. The combination of everything else and their bomb sauce- your stomach will definitely be satisfied! The baristas are also very knowledgable about their coffees and definitely know what they're doing. Can't wait to revisit! read more
The place is cute, tons of spots to sit, bright clean atmosphere. The coffee was decent although they only have regular milk in the coffee station, not cream. I ordered a breakfast burrito and it took a bit too long to come out. Really friendly service though. read more

This is my second time visiting this new spot in Pasadena. Copa Vida is conveniently located just a few steps away from the Goldline and not in the main strip of Colorado. Intelligentsia will always be great but Copa Vida is a good contender. The vibe is great and not so pretentious. Their espresso drinks and teas speaks for itself. I liked my orders and nothing to complain at all. I always go for my usual, a latte and chai. Both are excellent:) There are plenty of places to sit and I am fond of the front of store more because of its openness and the balance of wood and concrete. I will definitely come here again even if I just hop on the Goldline and have a cup of latte. Enjoy:) read more

Pour over coffee is amazing. I love it! I watched my barista/coffee guy make my coffee and he was very nice about it. Yes, its $4-5.00 a cup, but you get about 2 cups worth and really the amount of flavor and caffiene in it is more than enough for 2 average females to get a nice buzz on. Parking: if you park about a block down there is free street parking. If you can't walk that far then you have to find a garage or street parking nearby which is difficult. Process of pour over coffee: 1) Employee is given tins of sealed coffee beans of the flavor you chose. 2) He grinds it 3) Hot water is poured over a filter to release any chemicals then the H20 is discarded. 4) Freshly ground coffee is placed in it & first slow pour of coffee to release some other chemical. (I am not a scientist.) 5) Again and again around the merry-go-round until your coffee is done. I didn't feel the need for sugar or cream, but if you do they have a ADORABLE set up of simple syrups, liquid brown sugar, agave, honey and the like to make your drink unique. Food: I tried the salted caramel monkey bread. It was just okay. Nothing to write home about. I tried the croque madame: Ham, egg, and bread with a delicious cream sauce. A+++ read more

Fun little place to go on a FIRST DATE or STUDY and HANG for it bit. A little more REFINED and LOWKEY. GREAT teas and the DONUT I had was more exquisite and classy than your average donut with a lemony twist to it...BRAVO! During rainy season, come in out of the rain to this cool little shoppe and stay a while! read more

Copa Vida!!! Now my go-to coffee shop/lunch spot/work space in Old Town Pasadena. There is plenty of room to grab a table and get some work done, either alone or with some friends. The coffee they serve is delicious, they have savory and sweet treats at the register, bands perform Friday & Saturday nights and they have a variety of lunch options! Last time I was there I got the turkey panini and it comes with a side salad. Would definitely get this again. I haven't tried much else here so far but am looking forward to trying other items on their menu. Also they feature local artists, check out my co-workers exhibit 'stargazing' at Copa Vida until September! read more

Nice employees, great vibe, good espresso with a citrus punch, salmon toast was ok. The side of seltzer water with my espresso was nice. Next time I want to try the pastries. Also, parking is so cheap around here! I love how the bar wraps around the middle and there are so many seating options, including outside. Atmosphere is fairly noisy but appropriate for a cafe in a large boutique shopping area. Wifi is slow but I think because so many ppl are using it. read more
Copa Vida is tied for my number 1 favorite study spot and just an awesome place to be. This place comes highly recommend by me for the fun enviornment. You can sit along the windows in a variety of places. The place is huge and has many options for coffee and tea along with food options too. They have wifi and plug ins (somewhat sparse) and just lots of places to hang out. They have to main areas once of them is more quite and typically seemed to be the "study" place and the other side was more "poppin" (yes sorry i just used that word haha). The prices as always in pasadena/LA area a little high but the quality is top notch. I have come here many times and have never been disappointed! Basically, if you haven't been here.. you need to read more
I love this place! I think it's a great place to go for some semi-healthy eats. I've come here on 2 separate occasions and loved my choices each time. I've tried the Avocado Toast and the Egg Toast w Bacon. Yummm! I had the kombucha which was also good. The only reason this review isn't a 5-star one is because it's a little pricey. My toast and kombucha cost me almost $20! I think that's pretty expensive. But, given the quality and deliciousness of the food, I could splurge on Copa Vida every now and again. I think it's prices are in line with other hipster spots similar to it. Parking is street parking (so you may want to come with coins) or you could also park in one of the nearby structures (90 minutes free). read more

Croque Madame is really good with similar flavor as my favorite brunch item egg benedict. It has soft egg on top with yummy gruyere cheese and ham. The bread underneath is really good too. And it's pretty big portion of yummy food! Chorizo Egg Hash is also pretty good with egg on top of beef and hash brown at the bottom with spinach around. As for coffee, my ethiopia hot brewed coffee is just great! It has great smell of the coffee, yet not too strong. My friend's honduras coffee tastes a bit strong for me tho. It's those order-at-cashier-and-food-delivered to your seat type of brunch. And you can do street parking and public garage parking. No line there when we arrived around 1pm on Sunday. I'd love to go there again later. read more
I came here exclusively for the donuts: this is one of the few shops that stocks donut snob (and if you haven't had them before you need to come to Copa Vida and fix that immediately). I moseyed on over here after taking my little cat to the groomer so she accompanied me (inside in her carrier, of course). I parked in the garage across the street (the first 90 minutes are free), and then shuffled over to the cafe with my cat in tow. There was a short line that I suffered through (my sweet tooth was throbbing), but once I was at the front I ordered one berry donut, and one campfire one (think smores). The total came to $9.50 so these are not cheap, but they are definitely worth the splurge. The berry one was my favorite of the two, although the campfire one was tasty too. Both were soft and airy, and subtly sweet. The berries on the berry one were fresh, and delicious. These donuts are basically perfect. Seriously. Go get them. read more

Finally. I have heard so many good things about Copa Vida and when my lovely coworker invited me to go with her to redeem a coupon I immediately said hell yes! Leaving from Alhambra to Pasadena, it didn't take too long and luckily we found parking on the street right a way. It wasn't super busy and while my coworker decided on her coffee and I wanted to get something to eat. At first I wanted the turkey sandwich but after looking at some foodie pictures here, I went with the Croque Madame and a Macchiato. Our coffees came out pretty quickly and about 10-15 minutes later so did my food. The Macchiato was lovely. Not sweet at all. If you're looking for something sweet I wouldn't choose the Macchiato. The Croque Madame is heavenly. Literally couldn't cut into it fast enough. So happy with my choice today!! Will be back again soon!!! Tips-Monday-Friday between 11-4 if you order food you have a choice of chips, soup, or salad. read more

From the moment I walked in, I loved everything about this place -- the decor, the color scheme, the large amounts of natural lighting and the amount of seating. If you want to come to study or catch up with friends, this is the place to do it! I ordered a soy latte and despite the business, the drink was made quickly. I dont give five star ratings easily let alone twice for the same place?? Second time here today and I can honestly say that I had the best experience ever at a coffee establishment. The owner and the staff know what they are doing and try their best to accomodate you at every level. What sets this place apart from their competition is the energy and the effort they put into making their consumers feel like friends. That being said, my experience today was like being home away from home and I enjoyed meeting some great people who love coffee as much as I do. Bravo. read more

One of my favorite little cafes/coffee shops which explains why I've been here twice in the last month (and I live far in Rowland Heights!)!! They've got everything I could ask for. Yummy food, coffee, lattes, and free wifi! Love to come here for brunch with friends or to get some work done. It's not too loud at all in my opinion and they've got outlets around for you to plug your laptop in. Street parking for 2 hours, though. So you would have to go put more money in the meter if you plan to stay longer or there's a parking structure that offers 90 min free parking across the street. They've got a lot of places to go shopping or get dessert at around there if you're looking to just hang out afterwards. I love their Croquete Madame (gotten this both times I was here) and have tried their cappuccino and macchiato. So bold and so good~! Highly recommend :) read more

Good food and good coffee? Yaas, I found me a coffee shop that can do both! One of my favorites in Pasadena! I've come here twice and both times, I've been impressed with the food and drinks. THE FOOD: The first time I came here, I tried the Chorizo Egg Hash and the second time, I tried the Croque Madame and the Chicken Salad Sandwich. All three food items were great! My sister and I both loved the bread they serve the sandwiches in (bread in a sandwich can make it or break it). I would definitely recommend all three items to anyone. THE DRINKS: Both times, I got the cafe latte. Both times, it was good. THE SERVICE: They accidentally spilled some of my sister's cafe latte over into the cup's plate (not even that much) and they remade it for us when we didn't even ask them to. That was pleasantly surprising and nice. Pasadena is overflowing with many great coffee places, but Copa Vida stands out because it also serves good food! The first time I tried their Shakerato, I was hooked! My usual stop after my barre classes. The breakfast pastries they have is also good. Second fave is their vanilla latte. Copa Vida is better than Jones but parallel to Intelligentsia. Service is always good. The location is perfect since you can grab a Shakerato and walk around Oldtown. read more
It was my first time here and I already love it!! Copa Vida is my new go to place for brunch/coffee-talk get-togethers. First, I love how charming it looks and how spacious it is on the inside. The staff is very friendly and they have great selection of teas if you're not a java lover. I ordered their regular latte and roasted veggie sandwich with kale salad. All very good of course! The kale salad was delicious and refreshing especially with the red grapes and Parmesan cheese. We also had their yummy butternut squash soup. They give you generous portions of food so bring your appetite! My friend had the Croque Madame which she swears by (one of the reasons I'm going back). 3.5 stars. The food is decent (some items very good), but overall I think the looks are better than the taste. The kale salad with chicken looks so good in the pictures, but its strength is presentation. The kale was so finely diced that I couldn't stab it with my fork and struggled to eat it. The chicken looked beautiful and golden, but was a bit dry and overcooked. In addition, for some reason this dish took forever to come out of the kitchen - long after everyone else had received and eaten their food. The croque madame was very good. However, the tomato soup it came with was too sour. It was decent to dip the crust in, but I couldn't handle eating the soup by itself. Service was just okay when you can get someone's attention, but I had a hard time flagging someone down to check on my order. For what it's worth, our friends really enjoyed this place. read more

I freaking love this place! As soon as I walked in, I got all these good feels. Decor, seating, menu, and food. EVERYTHING is on point. It's an Instagram haven for a basic girl like me. I LOVE cafes that not only have good drinks, but also have great food! I absolutely devoured the chorizo egg hash. Arugula was the perfect touch. My little brother loves the traditional french toast and the breakfast burrito is a great deal at $5 (mom saved half of it for another meal). The matcha donut was absolutely adorable and delicious though a bit pricey at $4.50. NOTE: menu items change depending on the time of day or the day of the week so if you're really craving a particular dish, check online to make sure it's available. Only sad thing is that the drinks are kind of small for the price you pay. Appreciate the latte art though! Can't wait to come back and try out more things! read more
