Fried chicken done RIGHT. We ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich with a medium spice level, along with the Havarti Hen sandwich and one of each signature side. The Nashville Hot sandwich is absolutely incredible. I love spice and could probably go up another level, but that's about it. The acidity from the slaw and pickles(!!!) are perfect with the overall spice. The chicken has that crispiness we all love without drying out the meat. The Havarti is an excellent choice if you're not looking for anything spicy (or if you love sun dried tomatoes cause wow those were good) Of the sides, the fried pickles were by far our fav, especially when paired with the comeback sauce. Service is FANTASTIC. It's about a 5-7 minute wait after ordering, but beware; there may be a line at peak-lunch rush. read more

This is such a surprise! The chicken tenders are very well done, crispy, tender and good sized. The Buffalo sauce and ranch very fresh and chilled. The corn fritters very crispy outside and tender inside. Vinegar slaw is excellent. Very finely sliced red onion with the cabbage and the perfect vinegary tang, The Mac absolutely fantastic - we could have eaten two of the Mac & cheese! Genuine cheddar cheese and very creamy sauce. Very disappointed! I was excited with all the five-star reviews to stop by for a weekday lunch meal. I'm a big fan of chicken sandos and so I've tried all the popular joints in the city including Howlin Ray's. This place doesn't even compare by a long shot. Got the Nashville hot sandwich and the chicken tasted lukewarm and soggy. Should have known the hype was too good to be true when I walked in and the place felt like a ghost town and I was the only customer. Their chicken had been sitting all day in the warmer unsold which is why I got my order within five minutes. Not a good sign if you want crispy fried chicken. Tried the fried pickles and the taste was okay but nothing to rave about. Overall, I do not recommend this place. Try "Wing Ferno" or "Holdaak" in Orange which is a better local choice if you can't make the trip down to Howlin Ray's. read more

Food is decent. Chicken sandwich is large and spicy (if you like it that way). The meat is a bit lackluster, though. Has all the seasonings on the outside, but the meat, itself, is rather bland. Juicy, yes, full of flavor, no. The seasoning coating the chicken is super nice. Great heat. Didn't love the Parmesan cheese on the corn fritters. Too cheesy for corn, in my opinion. I can count on one hand the things that bring me more joy than a fried chicken sandwich, so when I heard about this new spot I knew it would only be a matter of time before I would be trying it out. Normally these spots are hit and miss with sub par chicken,lazy prep work, and an overall lack of passion, leaving your belly full and your heart empty. I can tell you with the upmost enthusiasm that this is not one of those places. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and I didn't speak to my wife the entire time it was in my hands, it was so good I almost forgot about the fried pickles and corn fritters we ordered. Those were bomb as well, as a matter of fact, after all of that food I went back and ordered a havarti/sun dried tomato chicken sandwich and polished that off as well. This time though, I did speak to my wife, only to ask if she wanted a bite but hoping she would say no. All in all, this is hands down one of my favorite fried chicken sandwiches, I'm also bummed it opened now because my diet I've been planning to start for the past 8 months will be delayed yet again. Was in the mood for some Nashville hot chicken and decided to try this one I've tried Bangin Buns in LA. Clydes in Fullerton and Spice-C at the district in Tustin. This is up there in my opinion with the ones in LA I ordered the Nashville hot chicken and got mild it was really flavorful and the chicken was huge. Everything is a la carte so keep that in mind their curly fries were good but nothing special. Their comeback sauce is pretty similar to all the other hot chicken places overall I would come back again. It's definitely worth a try. read more

Got a hot chicken sandwich for $12 and honestly was disappointed. Popeyes spicy chicken is much better for less than half the price, on top of this I got the Mac n cheese which wasn't even as good as Mac and cheese that comes in a box. Overall experience was poor. Phenomenal...I travel all over the country and love Nashville chicken. I have tried many and this is by far one of the very best. Chicken is moist, perfectly breaded and the flavor is outstanding. I got the Nashville Hot sandwich mild and it was DELICIOUS! Just the right amount of spicy and sweet. The bun was fresh and buttery and the chicken was so crunchy and is a good amount of meat. The chicken sandwich was bussin'!!! Hands down, they were delicious and full filling. The side sauce added some kick to the already flavored spicy chicken sandwich I received, but it's not included. If you don't want spice just get the original. One French fry order is more than enough for 2-3 people, so we over ordered on those. Nonetheless, everything was flavorful and satisfying. OMG this new fried chicken spot is the perfect place to get your comfort food fix. The Havarti Hen is such a fresh great sandwich especially if your looking to avoid spice, and personally my favorite so far is the Nashville Hot Chicken! The portion sizes are huge so bring a friend to share! I love that you get to pick your spice level! The slaw and pickles are a perfect melody to the spicy flavored chicken. I tried all the sides and you can't go wrong with any of them but the corn fritters and fried pickles are a must have. AND THE SAUCES ARE BOMB! Everything is fresh and homemade and their soft serve ice cream is a perfect sweet treat to end your meal. The staff was very friendly and the facility was very clean and up beat. They had hand sanitizer out for customers, outdoor seating that was great for social distancing. The check out was all easy and they had tap and pay options perfect for touch less check out! I noticed them constantly wiping down surface areas and disinfecting frequently touched areas. All their staff was wearing masks so I definitely felt safe going in to order my food. The food was ok, classic chicken place. The biggest problem I had going here was that they forgot one of my orders. I only ordered 3 things, and they forgot one of the three things. I live 30 minutes away so I can't just drive back and pick up the missing item (which was their mac n cheese). Good Nashville chicken spot. I've tried the Nashville chicken sando 2 ways- 2nd from hottest (extra hot) and 'get clucked' (hottest). Extra hot it was good...it was definitely hot...as in i had to make myself a milkshake to counter the heat. If u like really really hot, I'd start here. You can feel the heat going through your digestive system (and then elsewhere if u get my drift). The "get clucked" was pretty unbearable for me. I ate 1/3 of it and then said I can't...gonna take this home and wash it haha. It was just too hot to be enjoyable for me personally...instant hiccups and felt like it was beating the sh*t out of my insides haha. If u get it, u definitely need ice cream of some sort or milk to go with it. Aside from this, bacon potato salad was good...better than mac n cheese in my opinion.
