4.5 rounding up IG made me do it. They had me at wagyu halal. Fridays 5 pm - whenever they sell out. Now in the reels they did warn that it took about an hour from waiting in line to order till the order was ready, so I kept that in mind. The parking is a little wonky because it's a pop up but I was lucky to find street parking nearby. By the time I got there, there was already a long line of people patiently waiting to put in their order. I was looking forward to having fries with my cheeseburger but unfortunately, they weren't selling fries that night. Bummer. At any rate, it did take about 10 minutes before ordering three doubles - one without sauce and two with sauce. I waited about 40 more minutes before my order was called. During that time, I ordered a latte at another pop up next to Say Cheez Burger's tent. It was great because it kept me warm since the weather was getting colder at night. There was a man there with his dog and when I asked him if he's tried their burgers before, he said, "Yes, four times. It's definitely worth the wait." I was excited hearing this. By the time I got it home, it was still nice and warm (I think it helped that I put on the heater and they put a cover over the box). The cheeseburger was a hit at home. I took my time eating this to taste all the flavor. I love really smashed burgers so this was really tasty to me. I love the little crispy edges, grilled onion bits, and the soft grilled potato buns with the melted cheese and pickles. I have to say it was pretty damn near perfect. The burgers are rather large which helped with the price point of $12. Now, is it THE best? No, but it's up there! I'd say Mario's Butcher Shop Deli is probably the best smash burger I've had thus far but it's missing the crispy lacy edges that Say Cheez Burger has.
I love a good smash burger and this place hits the spot!! I'm sad they're only open on Fridays but it's such a great end of the work week treat. They're a small popup in the back of a random street but don't let that deter you. There were quite a few people waiting for their orders but the ordering process was quick. The workers were super super nice. I had to place an extra order a few minutes after my original order and the worker said he'll add it all in one so i wouldn't have to wait extra longer :) I love that they packaged all the burgers in a box that made it easy to transport. It stayed nice and warm and crispy even 15 min later. The burger itself was yummy! Ive never had a burger that was so crispy and juicy at the same time. Would definitely come back and hope they stick around for a while!
We ordered 5 burgers tonight as we have been wanting to try this place but with their limited open time, we haven't been able to coordinate. The rating would be a 3.5/5. I found the beef to be a bit salty and didn't care for the crunch. I understand it is a smash burger, but the meat was over done. I appreciated that the burger bun and burger itself did not get soggy, even though we had to drive 30 mins before eating. The sauce was a good blend. Overall the burgers were decent minus the points stated above.

I really like their smash burgers but it's definitely on the overpriced side. My husband and I got four burgers and one fries for $56. I believe each burger was $13. The service is relatively fast depending on the day. There's no way to contact them with a phone number so you should check their IG account to make sure that they haven't sold out for the night. Overall-- I would come here once in awhile, especially if I happen to be at the mosque on a Friday night, but if I want a burger, I can get them from cheaper places.
This was a 10/10 smash burger - great flavor, not very greasy, good size, cooked to perfection, and a nice spicy kick with the slides jalapeños (maybe consider chopping the jalapeños instead)! The fries were pretty salty so I'd recommend toning it down on the seasoning. Also the line was nice and short. Make sure to get there at 5pm so you're not waiting an hour for your food :)
So glad I made the trip after work. The burgers are delicious, the bun (potato bun) complements the burger so well. I was impressed with the fries too. They are the perfect level of crispiness and with the dash of season they were tasty! The customer service was top notch! We will be back for sure!

At first we thought we were lost because it was in the corner of an industrial business area with no retail or restaurants nearby, but quickly realized it was the pop up in the parking lot. Ordered a double smash burger and just the smell of the cooking meat was tantalizing! When they gave us our burgers we were surprised by how big it was, and even more mind blown by how big it was. But that doesn't even compare to what we experienced when we bit into the burger. 2 bites in and we knew we needed another one. I've been to a handful of all the popular smash burgers in LA. Burgers never say die, For the Win, Amboy And this smash burger is on par, might be even better! Simple menu of a double smash halal wagyu meat with cheese onions and pickle. The edges are crispy and crunchy, seasoned perfectly. The bun is soft and holds together well without getting too soggy and the size of the bun and meat is almost double the size of other smash burgers. If you're in Irvine, and looking for a real, good quality smash burger, pull up. Sadly they're only open on Fridays. If I didn't live too far, this would definitely be in my regular rotation.
Arrived one Friday around 10 and they were sold out. Came back at 830 and the queue didn't look too bad but the wait was unnecessarily long. The burgers weren't ready until 1030 pm. People who came around 7 pm waited more than 2 hrs. The taste and portions were spot on but not sure I'd wait 2 hours next time.
Place is packed and boys on the grill are working hard. Tons of people hanging in the parking lot waiting for their orders. Can't wait to dig in and give it a try!

The spicy smash burger and regular one were amazing and really big and filling! I was super impressed. The spicy one wasn't too spicy which was good for me, loved the fresh jalapeños. I also added pickles after. The people working there were extremely kind and helpful too. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Finally got to try this pop up tonight. Great burger and very nice people running it. I have been searching for OC's best smash burger and this place is definitely in the top three. The spicy burger has jalapeños that add a great freshness to the burger. I highly recommend this spot for a great burger read more
Good smash burger, but the fries are very basic. I'd recommend skipping the combo at $17 and ordering just the burger. I came when there wasn't a line, so the time from ordering to getting the food was quick. The sauce complements the burger well, and the patty has the crispy edges you'd expect from a good smash burger. Just be sure to grab a few extra napkins as it'll get messy. read more

The burgers and fries were both very good, fresh, and filling (justifying the price point). I liked the crunch of the meat and the overall flavors. However, we were standing in the dark and cold on a Friday night for almost TWO HOURS‼ waiting for our colossal order of two burgers and two fries. I get that this spot blew up online which is great for them! Given that there is a bigger crowd, long wait, and there are only two types of burgers on the menu, I think they could probably speed up operations somehow by investing in another grill. They could even add some folding tables and chairs for the many waiting customers to use. I would want to come back, but I just don't think these burgers are worth that long of a wait. read more

These brothers served one of the most amazing Wagyu Smash Burgers around! They use Zabihah HALAL beef! That's a plus for me personally. Service is excellent. They are like your favorite movie series that you look forward too every week. (Their pop-up is only on Friday night for now) Can't wait until they get their on B&M! read more

Hands down the best smash burgers that I've had! The house special sauce is amazing. This is my first time ordering a double double and I honestly cannot believe I finished the whole thing. My bf was impressed that I finished it all and he was impressed by the burgers as well. I'm writing this review now because we were both craving it again last night lol. Will definitely be back. I love supporting small businesses. It's a Popup located next to new horizon elementary and ICOI. They are there on Fridays starting at 5pm, but they do sell out so come early! read more

the 2x2 smile burger was delicious the wagyu burger was crispy on its edges, the sauce complemented the burger very well. i would definitely come back again. they were sold out on the spicy version by 9 pm, would wanna try that next time! my friend ordered the fries and they were nice and crispy too. they were also very friendly and chill with great service read more
