I found my new breakfast go to! I ordered online this morning. I cannot believe that I waited so long to try City Egg... it is right down the street from my house.... I will definitely be ordering online and picking up breakfast on my way to work regularly. I had the chorizo omelette. Perfect amount of heat and full of flavor. And the hash browns, crispy and delicious! My daughter had the avocado toast, she said it was amazing! Easy pleasantly pleasy! I'm never out early enough on weekends to try a lot of brunch places SO WIN! City Egg is a place where you can ALWAYS get a good brunch - like always!! I ordered the Wisconsin Scrambled, scrambled eggs with CREAM CHEESE - and topped with more cheese - with fruit & hash browns. The cream cheese was folded into the eggs almost like an egg & cream cheese omlet (can you tell I love cream cheese). It came sprinkled with tomatoes & I added avocado. You get two sides & they have a nice selection of breakfast sides. My fruit cup was a disappointment no strawberries and just well disappointing. I wanted to order the avocado toast but didn't because the photo on the menu made it look small. Just to reassure anyone thinking the same, I saw it come out of the kitchen and and it's enough food to fill ya up! Added an low fat Iced coffee. Everything just under $12. I live pretty close to this restaurant so I had seen it being built and I couldn't wait for it to open. The menu reflects the typical breakfast options of a diner but seemingly with less grease. The food pickup/drinks area can get pretty crowded when busy, but overall the decor and layout works well in the space. Prices were very reasonable and you will not go home hungry. This place is a must try and will probably be one of my usual breakfast spots! read more

I'm giving this place one star, but the problem isn't the food. Our food was prepared quickly and was hot, fresh and tasty. However, the concept of this place is whacked. They have a system where you order at an iPad kiosk, and then you stand around and wait in front of a window for your food. Adjacent to that window are utensils, water, soda machine, napkins etc. So everyone is gathered in that area and it is hard to get anything because of the pileup. Next, the cups for drinks are in a completely different area. Several minutes after I took a cup and got my drink, I was admonished by a young employee that I should not have done that. Apparently, I was supposed to have waited for her to give me a cup. After I informed her there were no signs indicating what customers are to do, she continued to admonish me that I should not have done that. She was somewhat agitated and frustrated by my apparent stupidity. This might be a great place for ordering a quick, takeout breakfast. But remember, don't touch the cups! read more

Normally when I order from City Egg it is great. I use doordash as the delivery service and they are right on time. Today was not the case, the food was put together hastily and caused the bacon to get soggy, the fruit did not have a lid and there were no utensils included. Personally I don't fully understand this concept. The consumer places their own order, which not only adds more work and hinders the experience, it also takes longer. They yell your name when your order is ready, so you also have to get our own food. Don't forget, you also have to bus your own table. The best part is our bill was $24 for 2 and we had to do all the work. I could have gone to any other breakfast place, been served by a waiter and not had to do any work for the same price. Friendly staff, tastes along the lines of IHOP but a lot cheaper, great atmosphere, fun use of technology and pictures to order food but sometimes redundant. They give you a lot of food just $7. One suggestion is adding cilantro to your line of toppings or ingredients. Had a great time! read more

The food wasn't good enough for me to search the entire establishment for sugar for my coffee. What a fun, quick, kinda quirky and affordable breakfast option! We loved the attentiveness of the staff, easy ordering at the kiosk, egg tables and plates! It offers family or single dinning options along with indoor or outdoor. The food was eggcellent, quick and customizable without being over charged. My husband tried their Mocha and it was gone before his meal, my vanilla latte was done quickly behind it. We cannot wait to go back to try more menu options and bring our kids. I was excited to try this place as it is supposed to be a "healthy" breakfast option, however I was highly disappointed. The ingredients were nowhere near quality-close to McDonald's grade. Both our meals were $11 total, which to me says low quality and probably not "healthy". In addition, my food tasted like it was sitting out and reheated. You are required to create a profile and a pin, and I don't prefer putting my phone number and email out there when it's not needed. I got the Westgate (spicy chorizo, sausage, jalapeño, green chilies, onions, homemade salsa, and 2 eggs). it was a perfect blend of flavors and so filling! This was an all around bad dining experience. The way you order is off of machines when you first walk in the door. The menus on the screens are by in no means user friendly and are not laid out like the menu on the wall above. The drinks came first, then we sat and waited for the food. When we went into where the seating was, all tables were full, except the two long high tables which were sectioned off because the roof was leaking above them. As we were looking for a seat, another couple was leaving, so we took theirs. We had to bus it ourselves. The staff just stood around and watched all this happen, and were not helpful at all. When we were waiting on our food, I was thinking the food better be worth the bad experience. It was not. The chorizo was way overcooked, and there was chunks of unmelted cheese in my dish. I rarely cook, but I'm certain that I'd prefer to make eggs, pancakes, and bacon for my family than repeating this. The food is great, but I have to ding the place because of their setup. They have 3 self serve kiosks that are monitored by a staff member or two. I am sure on down times it works ok, but we were there during the breakfast surge, and it was a mess. People were blocking the doors looking at menus, a lot of folks were having issues ordering, and the pickup window was backed up and crowded. My sis and I gave City Egg a whirl a few weeks ago as I like to try all the new places and who doesn't like breakfast, right? The ordering process was onerous as my sis likes to change everything and as she got there 10 minutes before me was stuck just standing around, unlike a sit down place where she could have gotten a seat and had a coffe. Tried this new place for the first time this weekend, it was different not really good or bad just ok, basically breakfast fast food. The self ordering on the I-pad really seems to be more of a hassle unless you are a frequent diner as making changes or adding to order was cumbersome if you are not familiar. I really only gave 4 stars as the OJ was great, fresh squeezed not too mulch pulp really the best part of the meal. We both had handhelds and the bread for both was disappointing, outside of the OJ just ok, would probably try again as the other more traditional meals looked good and for another juice. read more

Cute, easy spot! As a night shift nurse I love finding places that are open early and quick to get in and out of for breakfast and City Egg fits that bill. It's nothing special but I love the convince of touchscreen ordering and self pay stands. The food is the typical breakfast mix, eggs, bacon, hash browns etc...I went with Uncle Moose a mix of all of the above with cheese, it was well prepared and hit the spot well after a long night at the hospital.
