Okay this place is a must visit! 1st: this place is 100% plant based, and every single item taste amazing. It's a great spot for anyone who has food restrictions or dietary issues. This place is a miracle for all my dairy free people! Everything is made to order so it's always hot and delicious! Also let me say I know sometimes people can be skeptical when they hear "plant based" but you would have no clue that these rolls were vegan! This place is worlds better then CinnaBon! 2nd: The store is extremely clean and the staff is sooo friendly. When we came the owner was there his name is Vishal and he made sure to take each order and every order with a smile, a kind word, and dare I even say even with some love sprinkled in. My husband and I truly enjoyed the personal interest he took in each customer. I guess I feel so strongly about it because sadly with the climate we are living in we have noticed that good customer service is something that is majorly lacking right now in the food service industry. Vishal's passion for good customer service has clearly trickled down to his employees as the two girls who made are order were awesome! Not only were they friendly and fast but when we couldn't figure out how to create one of our rolls they made a "surprise creation" for us. Truly amazing! 3rd: They not only sell cinnamon rolls but also coffee and Dole Whip! Not sure if you are a dole whip fan but typically you can only find this delicious dessert in Florida (near Disney) and in Hawaii so it's so cool to have a local spot that makes it. Oooh and they have edible cookie dough that you can even add toppings to it. Also, you can also add that same cookie dough to a cinnamon roll (hence the Cookie Monster roll- I highly recommend). All in all I would say there is definitely no dessert spot in Cary that can even come close to how amazing this place is . Sooo good, & dairy free! Where has this hidden gem been my whole life! Cinnabon who?? The shop is small but It smells soooo good, there aren't very many seats so I grabbed tons of napkins and a fork and proceeded to devour this in my car. They bake cinnamon rolls throughout the day so there aways fresh! There are a ton of icing and topping combinations to choose from or, you try one of there recommendations. I've been considering going vegan for my 2022 New Years resolution. Well, if Cinnaholic is vegan, count me in. I'm fully committed. I stopped by today with some friends of mine to try out their two winter rolls. I had the Spiced Apple Cobbler one, but also got a Sweater Weather one for the hubs to try later. The roll itself was warm and fluffy and really cooked perfectly, no burnt bits. There were toppings galore which, If you don't want, I suggest going for a classic roll. Tons of frosting, looks beautiful. The thing I loved was that it had chunks of fresh apple and cinnamon that felt like it came straight from a pie. Initially, I thought the brown topping was large globs of brown sugar (which I would not have complained about in the least) but it turned out to be some of their cookie dough which I loved because it gave me a chance to sample something else they have on their menu. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. I'm not often down this part of Cary, but I'll have no reservations coming back this way for a fun treat. Okay, I hate to be harsh but it's just not in my nature to be untruthful. I went here for the first time last week, and my overall experience was pleasant. But if I'm being completely honest, I don't know how this chain is going to stay open. The concept is creative, but the quality of these baked goods is not great. The menu is overwhelming, and the signature cinnamon roll "flavors" have way too much going on. To clarify, the amount of toppings put on each roll completely eliminates one's ability to even taste the cinnamon roll itself. They are loaded with sugar. I hope I don't sound snobby, but to truly appreciate a baked good, I believe you have to be given the chance to taste it without the allure of sweet distractions at each bite. And in a more concrete sense, the toppings make the rolls downright soggy. Great job handling covid and enforcing social distancing rules when I visited. They limited the amount of people allowed in and once you ordered, waited outside and they'd bring your food out to you. I am not a vegan (or vegetarian), and would not have known these were plant based based on taste (neither did my husband until I told him AFTER we ate and he was surprised!). The maple and peanut butter frostings were so good and they did not skimp on the toppings! The baby buns were good, but at a cost of 3 for $5, I would pass on these. Okay so came into cinnaholic and it is not what I was expecting as far as the layout goes! I thought that they would have a setup where you could see the toppings and be able to pick what you wanted. Instead you have to look at the menu before you order. I ordered the vegan Cinnabon with cream cheese frosting, Carmel and diced apples . Not what I expected . It was fresh apples it would have been nice if they where cooked a little because they where so hard. Okay now back to the layout the process was really slow because there where a few people a head of us. The waiting area was so cramped. Just image how nice of a flow it would be if it was set up like a Chipotle. My husband and I enjoyed the Cinnabon but not enough to ditch our favorite Cinnabon stores. I was the FIRST person in line for the Grand Opening. There was a line of people down the street to take advantage of the $1 Cinnamon Rolls from 10am-2pm. First I want to say they have great customer service. I ordered a cake late at night for the next day, only to realize I had put in the wrong pickup date. I called them when I went to lunch the following day asking if I could pick it up that evening when I got off of work and they said that was not a problem. They saved the day! Went here the day after it opened, got there around 10 and there was a small line forming already, about 10:15 the line started getting longer and longer. But someone came out and gave everyone free samples in the line. Awesome customer service. Very impressed. Gourmet cinnamon rolls and edible cookie dough options. I've had this spot bookmarked for a few weeks and been waiting to try it since it's 35 min away from me. I tried the old skool, Cookie Monster & caramel apple pie (completely overlooked that it had pecans, which I'm allergic to so it was a waste of my money to order it). The Cookie Monster seemed popular so I gave it a try, but it was just way too sweet and the dough was too dry for my liking. The old skool was not as dry, but my fav one out fo the 2 I could try. I assume all the cinnamon rolls would've been pre-made and only the toppings are added in as you order so I didn't think one would be more dry over the other. The 1 star was from the dryness in the dough and I tried to purchase their dairy free pineapple Dole whip but their machine wasn't working properly so I just had them refund me. I can't rate 5 stars because it wasn't the absolute best I've had, but it was definitely really good. If it weren't for my love of unique foods, I would probably say I enjoy one from Cinnabon better. There were lots of options and we were pleased that we could split the roll half and half so we could try 4 different frostings on our two rolls (Lemon/amaretto - Me, Hazelnut/chai - Husband). The cinnamon roll itself was passable. Chewy, warm, not to crunchy not to gooey, but also nothing to write home about. Probably because your supposed to customize with the frosting. The frostings were all very very sweet. I think this might have to do with the place being vegan - because honestly I'm not sure how you get the "tang" of a cream cheese icing without the cream cheese. My favorite frosting was the lemon - it had at least some kinda tang. My husband liked the hazelnut the best. I would say the chai, despite not winning me over, was recognizable as chai and did pair well with the roll. Overall, if I were 13 and wanted to go get something sweet with my friends and stare at boys while we giggled this place ticks a lot of boxes. I totally get the hype for Cinnaholic! After seeing how popular they were during their opening weekend, we decided to go that Sunday. We got there about 5 minutes before they opened their doors and there was already a line. We had to wait about 15 minutes in line after they opened to get to the register to order. We ordered 2 of their cinnamon rolls - 1 with hazelnut frosting and cookie dough topping and the other with creme brulee frosting and fresh strawberry topping. We also ordered a coffee, which was pretty reasonable at $2. Of the 2 cinnamon rolls, I definitely enjoyed the hazelnut with cookie dough one more. It was a little more indulgent. The creme brulee flavor for the other one was more subtle and we were a little disappointed that there weren't more strawberry slices on top. But the cinnamon rolls definitely tasted fresh and it is surprising that they are vegan! However, the cinnamon rolls can get really pricey depending on how many toppings you add to yours. Some of the signature ones that they have on display have 3 toppings, and at 0.50 each you are going to get a pretty expensive cinnamon roll. But if you go as a treat and not frequently, I can justify the price a bit more. My favorite thing is that there are endless options to frosting and topping combinations, so you can get something different every time you go. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I purchased a gift card and a birthday cake for my daughter from this location( cary nc) back in January. Since then the has changed hands. The current owner apparently put in a new system that is not compatible with the gift . I went into the store almost 3 weeks ago to get this resolved. They took down all of my information took a picture of my gift card, etc. He was supposed to call me that night. He did not. Several days later I followed up with him and he told me he was working on it. Now several more weeks have gone by. No response . Finally after the threat of calling corporate he said he was sorry and working on it. This is for a gift card that I already paid for. How difficult is it to issue me a new gift card that is actually effective with their systems or just simply refund my money. This was one of my daughter's favorite places to go because she's vegan and no Longer will we be supporting this local business. 1/22/20 - Today was my very first visit. I drove 35+ mins just to try this place out. I'm definitely not disappointed. The staff was friendly and the store was very clean. The smell of fresh cinnamon punched me in the face as soon as I opened the door...I LOVED IT. I was in Heaven. They also had brownies and cookies, but I went specifically for the cinnamon buns today. I got a classic bun for myself and 3 mini buns with cake batter icing for my son. I can't wait until my son gets out of school to taste it. Found this spot since when I happened to be in the area. I vaguely remember seeing it on the news and I think years back seeing it in shark tank. Anyhow, super intrigued to try a plant based cinnamon roll and other sweet treats. I was happy to hear that they also use the purest forms of sugar.
