Best ice cream in the triangle. They have amazing monthly flavors too. I got the banana nut brownie as part of the October special.
We love Andia's! They win all kinds of national awards for their flavors. My favorite is rose pistachio and my son loves the strawberry. You can also get the sampler flight with 6 flavors if you can't decide. The waffles are freshly made in house. Scoops are $6 each in a cup. The treat is usually pretty fast keeping the lines moving. They offer a few indoor seats and outdoor benches. You can also get pints to go.
My wife and I finally made it to Andia's Homemade Ice Cream in Cary. We generally agree with what most others have said about this place. The ice cream here is excellent and, in my opinion, probably the best in the Triangle. That's all you need to know. If you want details, keep reading. This Andia's location in the Cary Park Town Center (Harris Teeter shopping center) in West Cary is the original brick and mortar location that opened on July 27, 2017. Since then, three additional locations have opened: Southeast Cary, Raleigh (Raleigh Iron Works mixed-use development), and Durham (The Can Opener food truck park). We visited on a Sunday around 4:45pm and stayed for about an hour. During that time, we saw two large waves of customers come in. Even though the shop was busy, the line moved at a good pace and customer service was great. Different members of the staff checked on us, which we appreciated. In hindsight, I'm surprised we stayed for about an hour, but it was mainly because we ate more than normal. We entered the line twice to put in two orders. Between the two of us, we had: * One Sampler Flight ($7.75) - Baklava, Cake Batter, Oreo Latte, Ube, Malted Twix, and Rose Pistachio, topped with 2 waffle wedges; * One Double Scoop ($8.00) - Cake Batter and French Vanilla, with free rainbow sprinkles; and * Another Double Scoop ($8.00) - Rose Pistachio and Ube. All of the flavors were outstanding. To me, what made Andia's stand out from the competition was the extra thick and creamy texture of the ice cream. It was dense, but not too dense, and super smooth. Also, I love how "sprinkles are always free." A couple things my wife liked about Andia's was (1) the flavors weren't too sweet, unlike Ben & Jerry's, and (2) the shop offered many creative and unique flavors, which reminded me of Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams. Overall, the flavors were very authentic and tasted true to their names. For example, the Cake Batter contained yellow cake mix and the Rose Pistachio had chopped roasted pistachios. During our visit, there were 24 flavors and 16 toppings ($1 each, except for sprinkles which are free) on the menu. Nine of the 24 flavors (37.5%) were sold out. That was disappointing because there were multiple flavors we wanted to try that were sold out. To give you a better idea of the flavors we got and what makes Andia's different in terms of the effort and ingredients they put into their ice cream, here's how they were described on the menu in-store: * Baklava - a nutmeg- and cinnamon-infused ice cream with chopped walnuts, baklava pieces, and honey * Cake Batter - a yellow cake mix with rainbow confetti throughout * French Vanilla - national red ribbon winner 3 years in a row! * Malted Twix - malted chocolate ice cream with chopped Twix pieces and a thick caramel swirl * Rose Pistachio - a light and refreshing rose flavor with chopped roasted pistachios * Oreo Latte - our coffee ice cream base with Oreos throughout * Ube - a creamy coconut milk base made with the purple yam from the Philippines My favorite flavors were Cake Batter and French Vanilla. My wife's favorites included the Ube and Rose Pistachio, but really, she liked them all. I don't think you can go wrong with any flavor here. Andia's is also known for their decadent milkshakes served in souvenir Andia's mason jars ($16.50 each). This location is sized like most ice cream shops with limited seating inside and out. We sat at the counter in the back. They have a sink in the back, outside the single unisex restroom, with water cups. Seating outside is on the shopping center's sidewalk patio.
The ice cream is incredible. The creme brulee ice cream gimmick is what I came for but the manager came out and bruleed it without notifying me and I was quite disheartened not to have gotten to see the show lol. But all in all, the ice cream comes pre packaged from their facility so it's not customizable, but vanilla bean is visible in it and the combo was incredible. $6. The cake batter, rose pistachio and ube were also fantastic. Rich, creamy, flavorful, and unique. I'd recommend this spot for sure! I was just a little emotional driving 26 min to see my ice cream get brulee'd without me. :(
In my opinion, the best ice cream in Cary speaking as an ice cream aficionado and avowed snob. always an excellent set of permanent flavors and an interesting cast of seasonal flavors. Flavors are always rich and well balanced. We love to get the sampler in particular since it lets us try all sorts of things. We've probably been here about four or five times now and it has never disappointed. Can be busy at times but service is prompt and the counter employees are always nice even in an unfortunate incident in which their AC was broken in the middle of the summer. Will be coming here many more times.

The line outside of Andia's said it all. The unique flavors, creamy ice cream, and excellent location make it the ideal place to quench your sweet tooth on a warm, summer night. The great service kept the line moving quickly while still giving people what they want and allowing samples to guarantee satisfaction. It's a nice place to sit down and enjoy your ice cream (when it isn't crowded) or to take it and walk around outside in the plaza. I recommend the flight, if you just wanna try a little bit of everything :)

Friendly staff and plenty of ice cream flavors to choose from! I ordered a single scoop of the cookie dough ice cream, and it was delicious. You can order multiple scoops in a cup or cone, and they also offer sundaes. If you're undecided, you can sample up to two flavors before ordering, which helps keep the line moving for everyone. They also have delicious cakes and to go pints if you want to enjoy some ice cream at home. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great spot to enjoy your treat. A good amount of different ice cream flavors and servers are willing to let you sample different flavors as well which is nice. Flavors are fairly different as well which is also a nice change. Inside is pretty small but there is outdoor seating available at this location. We got the mini flight that comes with six mini scoops and two waffle cone chips. Flavor profiles are on point and ice cream is fairly creamy. My only complain is the serving sizes are small for the price you pay. The quality is good but you don't get much in each scoop. The ice cream sandwiches don't keep their form when you take a bite of it as well. read more
On Feb 14th we were back at our favorite Andias again. This time we ordered a flight and their Valentine's special heart-shaped flight with slightly bigger scoops.. because... why not? We mixed some old favorites with a few new flavors. The dark chocolate raspberry was SO good. Chocolate lovers, you need to try this one! Our forever favorites are still bakhlawa (with those bakhlawa bites ) and rose pistachio - the rose essence is just perfect, not overpowering at all. Tried one new flavor "UBE" for the first time too. I think it was made with coconut milk and I really liked it! Always fun discovering new favorites. Service was amazing and super patient. They happily let you try different flavors before you pick your final perfect cup which I always appreciate because choosing is hard They even changed up their decor for the February LOVE vibe and updated the menu colors. yum! nothing to not like. i love how they offer the 6 flavor sampler plate - it's really the perfect variety and amount to have. busy little shop and saw lots of people on dates / hanging out. ordered: ube, chocolate brownie, mago jalepeno margarita, lemon poppy, matcha, and cannoli. texture of the ice cream was perfect. some of the flavors didn't taste like much (matcha) but for the most part everything was good. cannoli was my favorite. the only flavor that i did not like was the mango jalepeno - but glad i got to try!! read more

Yelp claims I started this review in July 2019, so that says a lot about the world, doesn't it. Fortunately, a July 2022 flight reminded me that this was long overdue, and then I just procrastinated a little more for good measure. Fun (to me) fact: Andia's is owned and run by a local Greek family. I'm totally like a quarter Greek so I owe it to my heritage to support Andia's whenever possible. It's only fitting that I honor this *epic* ice cream by opining in dactylic hexameter (er, approximately) - it's what Homer would do, y'all. Sweet baby Jesus, whoever invented this flight was insane. Blending Ube with latte?? Well, fine, that was me; I'm the genius. ...honestly that was exhausting. I feel like I earned another flight once the September flavors hit. Final thought: someone needs to explain to me why Eleolado isn't a permanent flavor. If I'm willing to drive 30 minutes to y'all, you should be willing to keep that in rotation, right? So amazing. Been looking for a phenomenal ice cream spot here and this one is it, no need to look further. It's a nice little shop with cute seating and lighting and the staff here is also kind. The flavors are so unique. And to top it off you can get them in quarts or pints from the fridge to take home. We got a oreo latte ice cream shake that they put in an Andia's mason jar that had frosting and oreo crumbs on it and also topped with whipped cream. Whew. 100/10. Definitely big enough for 2 people too and worth the price. You can take the mason jar home too! The ice cream brûlée (french vanilla ice cream with sugar that's bruleed in front of you) really caught my eye along with the rose pistachio and baklava ice cream flavors so it's no doubt I'll be back! read more

No bad words to say about Andia's. It's a national award winning ice cream shop for a reason. Here are a few more: the flavors are BANANAS!!! That means exquisite, tasty, unique, delicious, creative, delectable, amazing, delicious and delicious!!!! Service is great. Lines are long - wait!! You will have no regrets. No inside seating in one of the locations. Small seating area in the other one. I TRAVEL to get this ice cream. It 's a MUST if you're ever in the area or 6 hours away . They change flavors monthly I believe. My favs: UBE! Oreo LATTE! Dark Decadence! And the rest of them . Get the flight so you can try 6 small scoops. The BEST double dark chocolate ice cream in the RTP area. Make it a double dark chocolate shake and it's even better. Recently tried their speciality shake. Stopped by this place after having dinner in downtown Cary, was going to grab some sweetness from another homemade ice cream joint downtown ... but line was crazy and glad I discovered Andia's! Line wasnt super long and flavors were amazing! Tonight I picked up the Mango Jalapeno Margarita and ohhhhh man let's just say it was awesome! The MJM had candied jalapenos in it which gave a kick to your tastebuds but than cool down by the mango ice cream followed by a lil bit of the margarita... It was a like a flavor party to your taste buds! You know that commercial with the sour patch kids ... yup it was like that lol The flavor profile was almost like eating a jalapeno popper but without the fried crispiness... hummmm wonder if it wouldve been like that if I had it in a cone .... definitely have to go back and experiment ! Lol Staff was nice and friendly and store was nice bright and clean! Definitely going to go back and try other flavors again and see what work out they give my tastebuds lol read more

Unique ice cream spots are one of my favorite choices for dessert. This place checked all of the boxes! It was really hard to decide what to get because we wanted so many things. We ended up going with the Salted Caramel Ice Cream Brulee and the Morning Cereal Sammie with Fruity Pebbles Ice Cream. Both were fantastic. It's hard to say which I liked more. I loved the brulee on top of the ice cream. It was a better combo with ice cream than creme brulee in my opinion. The Morning Cereal Sammie had so many great things going for it. I loved the ice cream/waffle combo. The Fruity Pebbles ice cream was delicious. The maple syrup was the icing on the cake. We also got a quart of ube ice cream to go since that's the only way they were serving it. My husband loved it, but it actually wasn't my favorite. It was good, but it's made with coconut milk since it's vegan. I'm not a big fan of coconut and the coconut flavor was a little strong for me. If you are anywhere near the Triangle area, make sure to check out this ice cream shop! read more

Both Andia's locations have delicious ice cream, good customer service, and good parking! They were enforcing social distancing really well, with stickers marked on the floor and an employee making sure to let in only a limited number of people in the store at a time. Keep in mind that you have to pre-order their pints and quarts on their website for this location though. I've tried the Couch Potato (March flavor), Pandan, and Hokey Pokey (April flavors) ice creams at this location and I have to say, I'm always very impressed with how creative they get with their monthly flavors! I had a good experience at the Ryan Rd location, so I decided to give the Green Level Rd location a try. Immediately upon arrival you recognize their superb customer service, clear communication skills, and effective messaging around the store regarding menu items and COVID guidelines. Masks are required and the floor is marked to promote social distancing. Like their other location, I like how they post the menu outside the entrance and inside. The menus are large and easy to read. Before arriving, I had seen their Instagram post regarding their February flavors so I already had in mind what I wanted. I purchased a single scoop of English Rose ($4.86) and a quart of Cinnamon Toast Crunch ($11.91). Previously when I was at the Ryan Rd location I was informed to grab the to-go ice cream I wanted from the display freezer. At this location, only employees can pull quarts from the freezer and you have to order them online. I must have looked puzzled when I saw the "Employees Only" sign so I was immediately helped by one of their awesome employees. Even though I did not place an order in advance, I could still purchase a quart to-go. I loved the English Rose ice cream. It is rich, and filled with earl grey and rose flavors. Unfortunately, we were not a fan of the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. It was really lacking in cinnamon flavor, which was surprising. It tasted more like a vanilla ice cream with some Cinnamon Toast Crunch mixed in. You really have get a piece of cereal with each scoop in order to get some cinnamon flavor. We recommend this establishment to others and would purchase ice cream from here again! read more

i can't believe i haven't reviewed this place yet!! the best ice cream in the triangle in my opinion, and their revolving monthly flavors are so creative and well executed. i love that they have sampler flights- this is something very crucial for someone like me who is so indecisive. even the stuff that sounds out there (flamin hot cheetos ice cream??) is delicious. i have never had a bad scoop of ice cream from here, only stuff that wasn't to my personal taste (my fault for getting matcha ice cream when i don't like matcha) and even that is very rare. there are still five days left in february, so run, don't walk, and get the butter toffee popcorn and "what the fudge" flavors before they rotate them out! they are not to be missed! read more

[Coronavirus review] This place had one of the strictest set of safety precautions I've seen, with someone running the door to ask whether you wanted to come inside and get something scooped or stay outside and pick up cartons of ice cream. I did the former, but I don't have any trouble imagining the latter. There aren't a lot of ice cream places pulling bad reviews out there. To me, what separates good from great are things like the variety of creative flavors, the strength of the cones and non-ice cream options, and friendliness to special diets. And of course you have to nail the basics. In addition to the hint of sinus-clearing mintiness I got from my mint chip, I added a vegan coconut cream which was ube-flavored (Filipino purple yam). The combination seemed ridiculous, but it worked, and while I like mint better than ube, I didn't like the vegan cream a whole lot less than the dairy one. I had no need of a cone, but watching fresh waffles being ironed, I nonetheless decided to get a waffle bowl, which tasted fresh and had a sweet vanilla note that was definitely a bonus. There wasn't a whole lot left for them to get right. read more
