Came here for dinner on a Saturday night, and the place was pretty busy. We were a large party and made reservations ahead of time. The place is small, and all the tables were pretty close together. My husband and I shared the Parrilla Chios, which came with a ton of meat and two sides. There was enough food for more than 2 of us. The meats tasted decent, but not memorable. There were other dishes, such as the Piqueo Criollo, which I couldn't try (was on the Whole30 diet) but everyone else in the group enjoyed it. Service was good. The food came out fairly quickly, and it usually wasn't hard to flag down a waiter. Given that I was on a strict diet and there were vegetarians in our group, the staff was pretty patient and answered many questions we had regarding what ingredients were in each dish. Giving this place 5 stars. It was my first time trying this place. Food was delicious! Great quality, so happy to have a Peruvian restaurant so close. Next time I will actually be dining in the restaurant. I placed an order threw yelp24 and my overall delivery experience was great, only downside would be the wait time for delivery. Once my order was deliver I totally didn't mind it! Plus I got my to have my favorite appetizer , Peruvian Potatoes with Spicy Cream Sauce (Papas a la Huancaina). Oh man so delicious!! I am always on the lookout for a good Peruvian restaurant, especially in the San Fernando Valley. Parking - they have about 5 parking spots in their lot. So you're better off trying to find street parking. Service - We were greeted and seated promptly on a Friday afternoon. There was a large party in the restaurant which took away from our service experience. We had to frequently flag someone down to ask for water, and then remind them that we had asked for water. It's a new restaurant and they have some kinks to work out. So I'm not going to ding them it. Lomo Saltado - I asked for an over easy egg to be included in my meal. The meat was seasoned nicely, very flavorful. The fries were homemade...yes! Nothing is more of a turn off than dining at a restaurant and you can tell they just fried up some Ore-Ida fries. Fan of food...not a fan of staff. tried calling in for a food order to pick up. rang rang rang. The middle-aged woman who eventually picked up the phone actually dropped the phone on a loud surface and then hung up. I called back. rang and rang. No pickup. Went in person to place order. Waited and waited by the register. Finally was able to place the order by standing by the register. Waited 45 minutes for food to be ready by the register. I sat at a dirty table by the register for a good 20 minutes until a male employee finished his break on the patio. While waiting, the phone was ringing and ringing non-stop. After the wait for our food, was told by a waitress "next time call". We let her know we have been trying. She walked away with no response. The staff made this a poor experience. They didn't offer a seat while waiting. I've been wanting to explore Peruvian food and I got a GroupOn type offer for this place. Not the best neighborhood, but I was pleasantly surprised how clean, bright, and nice the place is. It was busy when we got there and parking is very limited, but we got a street parking space in front and the last open table. The server helping us was very sweet and helpful. We asked a ton of questions and she described practically everything on the menu. We couldn't decide so we went overkill and it was a great meal! Had 2 beef dishes...Loma Saltado and Pesto Fettuccini with Grilled Steak. Both were very good. Note... the french fries on the Loma Saltado are traditionally served with the meat and sauce. We got them on the side so they wouldn't get soggy. The mixed Ceviche was good as well. Fish, squid, mussels, and shrimp in a refreshing and light lime dressing. We also got the Quinoa Salad and were impressed. Big portion, served with some veggies, avocado, in a very light lemon dressing. My wife really liked the Fried Yucca...I thought it was basic. The purple Peruvian corn drink was very interesting. Not sure I loved it, but the taste was so interesting. It's worth trying. The desert presentations were cute. Custard type stuff served in little glasses, but I didn't love them. Also worth noting...we went back last week and I was feeling daring and ordered the beef hearts. Yeah the heart mussel...LOL. I always like my beef medium-rare, but the server told me to order these well done, so I did. It was actually pretty good. Tasted like beef with a subtle flavor that reminded me of liver. Not sure, I'd get it again, but glad I tried it. Over all I have to say that I really like this restaurant. It is good quality food with interesting flavors, and served by nice people. I have been coming here to Chios Peruvian Grill in Sepulveda for about two years now and been completely satisfied every time I come, all the dishes I have tried have authentic Peruvian flavor, my favorite " La Copa " amazing ceviche mix of fish, seafood, concha negra and fried calamari. There was nine of us and we tried to move the tables so we can all fit. I noticed that she started to give us really bad looks from across the restaurant, like if we we weren't going to pay or something. She comes towards us and doesn't even speak politely to my wife. She tells my wife that we can't move the tables like that. She didn't even say "excuse me." Her attitude was the worst. I don't know how she got hired. I own a restaurant myself and I would never let my employees talk to the costumers like that. Then she told us rudely that we had to leave a tip excuse me of course we know we have to leave a tip but with her service she didn't deserve anythinh. The absolute best Peruvian food I have ever tasted! The Lomo saltado is perfect in flavor, their potatoes (Papas a la Huancaina) are so unique tasting and delicious , and their roasted chicken is perfectly seasoned and tender! Kindly allow me to set your expectations. Many reviews here point out the obvious: yes, parking is limited and unfortunately they are understaffed, but boy do those ladies work their butt off! There are certain aspects of a restaurant that are beyond their control, so if you know what to expect going in, perhaps you can make an informed decision about dining in or ordering take out. Do not come here on a Friday/Saturday night if you're not willing to wait. Families come here for special occasions because the food is that good. Do order their pollo a la brasa (they have a great chicken family meal that runs Mon-Wed, carry out only) lomo saltado, and fetticinni sabores. Even my Peruvian classmate (who lives pretty far from here) recommended this place to me without knowing that I already go! I love the food at this place but the service sometimes is questionable I always order food from here since it's so close to my job but lately idk what's going on with their system I'll place an order online, I usually call before coming in to make sure it's ready but called dozens of times and no answer. Anyways that in the past beside the card issue this place is just great food Everything in their menu will blow you away. I always order the lomo saltado chicken or the beef.(the chicken is by far my favorite) lomo saltado come with fries, red onions, tomatoe, and choice of protein. The food is absolutely delicious. I ordered the limo saltado to go along with another order of chicken saltado. The pricing is a bit over the top but the food definitely makes up for it so no complaints there. I came here because Listo El Pollo down the street was closed. Always drove by here but never had a chance to try it until now. My to go order was sadly not placed properly, when I arrived to my job the pollo saltado had a hole in the cup with the juice it had spilled into the bag. I like the fact that the sauce isn't spilled over the potatoes so they are not soggy but I hated how it spilled in the bag! First the parking is awful, stacked parking, so we parked on the street. The place is nice enough inside, with outside seats too, which we sat out, though not the best view of Sepulveda. I had the Tacu Tacu Con Lomito, which I had never had before. It was decent enough, though a little borring and could have used more meat for $15. The food quality is good here but what I'm surprised by were the portions. I had ordered two pollo saltados, one lomo saltado, a plantain appetizer, and a cevice to go. I waited about 30 minutes and everything was fine. The plantains and ceviche was great, but the proportions of the lomo and pollo saltado was scarce. The to-go cup filled with the protein was barely half full (that's including the onions), and was mostly "juice" (oils) and was very disappointing. I spent over $120 bucks on this and was sadly let down. I was still hungry!!! Started off good!! Then just progressively got bad. This place is near my house and every time u drive past it, it looks full of guests. So today, on my day off, I decided to come by with my friend and try the food. I've tried Peruvian food once before at a different restaurant and knew what to expect. We came in, got seated and the service up to this point was okay. The waitress was nice. I will give them props for caring for the customer. They made my plate somewhat custom and they accommodated my request. We got out drinks, and a side of breadsticks with the green sauce. Once we got the food, and tried it, it was pretty darn good. I really liked my dish and my true d got lomo saltado and she liked it. After we received out food, no one came back to check on us and see how we were doing or if we needed drinks. Needless to say, that's why the experience went downhill for us. We never got refills, we didn't see our waitress after receiving our food. Overall, the food is really good!! You guys should try it. I dare you to find better fried rice than this place. My favorite dish here is the Chaufa Especial; it's loaded with pieces of fried chicken, BBQ pork, and shrimp. It has the the other stuff like green onions, egg, and seasoning, but they don't skimp on the protein and leave you with a plate full of rice. My wife keeps ordering Lomo Saltado and since I get to pick off of her plate, I can tell you the beef strips are flavorful and the french fries are fat and go well with the sauce on the plate. Service is okay, not good and never has been in my experience. Parking is hit and miss depending on how full the restaurant is; you might find street parking on the busy street or you'll need to park in tandem parking spaces that fill up quickly and rely on you moving your car to let others out or having to ask others to move their car. If the food wasn't as good, I wouldn't come here. The fact their food is delicious helps me overlook any shortcomings. read more

I ordered for delivery through Yelp Eat 24 and got my food in less than an hour. They have a delivery fee of $8. I got Lomo Saltado and Mar Y Tierra. They are pretty much the same except that Mar Y tierra has shrimp in it. These dishes were totally new and different for me. They have meat (beef) with fries and rice on the side. It is pretty much similar to mediterranean food but there's a bit more sauce. The meal came with a green sauce on the side. Not sure what it is but it tastes like avocado and cilantro which made the beef have that little kick. Will definitely try other food from this place soon! read more

Went there to celebrate mothers day with the fam and the food is good and tasty. First time there and got the lomo saltado with, rice and salad instead of fries. I enjoyed my meal. To drink we had the maracuya water and that was even tastier. I could drink that all day long. Definitely a spot to check out and will be returning soon with my lady. Ordered food to go because this was the closest Peruvian restaurant that delivers! I gave it a 3 stars because there Lomo Saltado didn't have the normal veggies that I am use to. I asked for no rice but more veggies and the man on the phone said they only had tomatoes and onions to add! Forget that! Instead, they welcomed us with smiles and menus. Since it was the first time we have been to the establishment, we ordered one of each of the maracuya [passion fruit] and chicha morada [purple corn drink with cinnamon]. Refreshing and a good glass amount each. We were torn between a couple platters for two in order to try all their different meats, but when we asked if we should get individual meals to share, we ended up with the Lomo saltado [beef, gravy, and thick cut fries] and seco de cordero [lamb shank with rice, beans, and onion salsa]. We could not have been happier--the meat was cooked perfectly on each dish and the serving sizes were huge! They also had homemade alfajores which we couldn't leave without by a box of six. So pros and cons to this place. The food was amazing I ordered Cevi Chio's and just for that I can say I'll be going back. One of the best ceviches I've tried by far. My honey had La Copa another type of ceviche also pretty amazing very tangy sauce and plenty of calamari for both orders. However the parking at this location sucks and nothing bothers me more than trying to enjoy a good meal and having to get up to move my car. On another note it took the waitress 15 minutes after we were seated to ask us what we wanted to drink and take our order. So there you have it. read more
