Tallarin Verde, Milanesa de Pollo
Melissa L.

Always a great experience dining at Peru's Taste. The food is absolutely delicious and freshly prepared + the service is warm and friendly. Though the outside might be a bit deceiving, it's a pretty spacious restaurant that definitely has that classic hole-in-the-wall feel. My favorite dish has to be the Tallarin Verde, which is usually served with steak; they graciously served this with their Milanesa de Pollo as I requested. Their Chupe de Camarones was an unexpected hit for me in my most recent visit. It reminded me a bit of a nice creamy ramen broth and I loved the shrimp and rice in this dish. Overall, there are some great dishes on their menu and so many yummy things to try here!

It was my first time at Peru's Taste and let me tell you.. this place DID NOT Disappoint. I had been craving Lomo Saltado and I'm happy I found this restaurant. The food was Amazing and the service was great. Even the music is great lol . Shout out to Gio and Franco for taking care of me! I'll be back

Anticuchos

Have been looking for an authentic Peruvian restaurant and finally the search is over! What won me over were the Anticuchos! A very authentic taste, best I've had in Los Angeles. I also tried their Lomo Saltado and Ceviche Carretilledo all very pleasing to the palate. Presentation was perfect, the care that the chef puts into how the food is plated really says a lot of this establishment, which to me is top class! The service was great, loved the recommendations, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity. Can't wait to try the rest of their menu!

Hmm, this place is pretty good, but I think if I'm to be fair, the food is a bit more on a 3.5 for one main reason. The Lomo Saltado de la Casa with its Filet Mignon is a bit polite in taste. It could use a bit more flavor, even though it tastes largely like Lomo saltado. I do like the noodle pasta from my brother's order, the Tallarín Verde con Bistec. Other than that, it's a nice spacious restaurant, clean and inviting, and the staff is nice and friendly. I'll give it another shot with another menu item.

Beef Saltado (lomo saltado)

You literally have no idea how good this place is. The service was amazing, the food is a just mouth watering.

Does this look like a pan con chicharron sandwich. Does not represent at all our sandwich. So disappointing.

We came in craving a classic Peruvian breakfast and chose this spot because we've had good experiences here before--but this visit was a huge letdown. We ordered the *pan con chicharrón*, and it came out cold and clearly not fresh. The bread notably not fresh, the chicharrón was dry and cold. When we mentioned it, the waiter initially pushed back and said it wasn't possible, then suggested it might just be the *sarsa criolla*. But it was obvious the whole sandwich wasn't freshly made. They did take it back and brought it out again after a while, and while it was warmer, it still tasted like the prior, probably just reheated--not freshly prepared. The sandwich was also tiny lol. For $60, this was really disappointing. We actually left still hungry, which says a lot. The only bright spot was the *jugo de surtido*, which was refreshing but if we just wanted a juice we could have gone elsewhere. Honestly, it'll take a lot to get us to come back, I know restaurants have higher cost like everything right now but if your cutting corners and sizes, you are gonna lose customers.

Oh man, the salsas/ají they had was absolutely amazing & spicy. If I could add the ají to everything I ate I would. The salchipapas were tasty especially with the ají. I definitely recommend coming here to try out some Peruvian food. The server was polite, explained the dishes, & had a nice smile. Definitely will be coming back here for more food.

Solid Peruvian food. Good portions, was made to order so everything is fresh. Good for a late lunch early dinner vibe

I really wanted to love this place because I love hole-in-the-wall or family-type businesses. However, I agree with the other reviews that said this place is just "okay." Let me start off on a positive note. Their service is amazing, and the person who served us was kind and friendly. The food was just okay. The Choros (mussels dish) had far too much onion for my personal liking, as this is coming from a person who loves onions. The fried food plate was my least favorite and hard to finish. However, it was my fault, as I didn't read in the menu that it was fried. Overall, it was okay. It's a little pricey for what you get, even with inflation (I get everyone is trying to survive; including restaurants).

Well this was before I finished it and i remembered to take a picture 7. Lomo Saltado

This place.... Fire so good I loved it tucked away in what is it northridge? Little parking huge restaurant delicious food. I wish there was more food but that's just me being a fatty I devoured it lol before taking pictures I got the lomo saltado. They didn't have the bread and the sauce it's only weekends and I forgot what other days

Side order or Yucca to go. Not worth your $$

Been craving some good Peruvian food. It's been a good minute since I have been here and tonight's service and dinner did not disappoint. Not only did Daniel provide fast and excellent customer service but tonight's meal tasted very fresh and exactly how I was craving it! They have done some upgrades aesthetically and even have a little stand with some merch. I love the music they play and that they always have a soccer game on in the background.

Delicious Peruvian food! A plate of lomo saltado and a glass of agua de maracuyá can fix me--and they did! Adam was also very attentive and kind during my time at Peru's Taste. Definitely will be coming back! :)

I got a whole chicken with the sides and I decided to try the Peruvian ceviche. The chicken was good, seasoning was there. It was already precut for me so that's was kind. I was really looking forward to the ceviche and it was not good. The lime juice or the leche de Tigre was very bitter, and it just didn't taste good... Something was off about the ceviche, perhaps it spoiled quickly as my drive back home was an hour, i unfortunately had to throw it away because it did not taste edible. Service is quite friendly, and quick. I'd come give it a second try for the ceviche, maybe it was not the freshest batch or my commute was too long but I don't think food spoils that rapidly. Either way I definitely recommend the rotisserie chicken with the sides!

The ordering process was quick and easy, and my food was ready right on time when I arrived. I was in and out with no hassle, which I really appreciated. Each bite had a great mix of flavor and freshness. If you're looking for a tasty and affordable Taco Tuesday option, this online special is definitely worth it. I'll absolutely be ordering again!

We were given menus and a few minutes later asked if we wanted anything to drink, and if we were also ready to order. We asked for a few extra minutes. When I saw the menu, I thought, and should have stuck to my gut, that the "Peruvian style Chinese" is a what the hell does that mean situation. Man, did I go wrong for not giving that a hell naah! The waitress brought out some hot bread and butter, as well as cold iced waters for us. We than placed our order. We ordered a chaufa de pollo (chicken fried rice), parihuela (soup), and a jalea (fried seafood). When the food came, all the smells hit, and I just knew it was not what I wanted or expected. I was expecting awesome wok-charred fried rice. What I got was some barely wok-ed rice, no depth of flavor, but lots of a CHINESE flavor/seasoning. HORRIBLE, why would you do this?!? What the hell!!!! This is definitely not what Peruvian fried rice is. No where near what it should be. The parihuela is something I've never had, so I cannot compare it to any others, but from it being my first time trying this, this is what i think. I think it was actually pretty good. It had lots of seafood umami (flavor). It had great depth. It had lots of crab smell, but why no crab? None at all, just the smell. Lots of fish and squid. The jalea, yucca not fried enough, it was slightly under. Lots of lemon-ny red onions on top, which is great as it helps cut all the nasty feelings of eating fried stuff. Only two pieces of shrimps, that were small too! It had 4 pieces of fish, and the rest was calamari. I am fine with it, but the shrimps should be larger. The batter should be thinner. The pieces should be crispier. Nothing great about this dish. It's so easy, yet it was not thought of well enough to make it great. Don't waste your time or money here. It's not authentic. It's not great. It's just passable food. The best thing of this meal was the bread and butter, and the cold iced water. The service was good too, but the food was not up to par. I feel like they may have made my food according to us being Asian, but who knows and who cares, I don't plan on coming back.

This was one of those dining experiences that sticks with you, and not just because the food was amazing, but because the hospitality made it feel like you were being welcomed into someone's home. We started with the Yuca Frita with Huancaína, and it was the perfect introduction to the menu. The yuca fries were fried beautifully, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The huancaína sauce was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. That yellow sauce had a subtle warmth and depth without overpowering the yuca. It was comforting, and impossible to stop dipping. Next up was the Lomo Saltado and woah this dish alone is worth the visit. We ordered it with ribeye and chicken thigh, and the combination was incredible. Everything was sauteed perfectly with onions, tomatoes, and cilantro, creating that classic savory, tangy, umami-packed flavor Peruvian cuisine is known for. The meat was tender and juicy, the vegetables were cooked just right, and the French fries soaked up all that flavor beautifully. Served alongside fluffy white rice, it was hearty, soooo satisfying, and incredibly well balanced. You could tell this dish was made with intention and experience. We also tried the calamari which was another solid hit. And a first for me! Lightly fried, tender, and not rubbery at all. It was clearly fresh and cooked properly. It paired really well with everything else on the table and made for a great shareable dish. But the real star of the night was a dish that completely surprised my partner and I! It ended up being our favorite dish, and it was the Tigre de Leche. THIS was hands down one of the freshest, most vibrant things we tried. The citrus was bold and super lemony, in the best way possible. You could taste the lime juice, the chile, onion, and cilantro all working together to create something bright, refreshing, and layered. It was zesty, slightly spicy, and incredibly clean tasting. One of those dishes where every spoonful wakes up your palate. If you're a ceviche fan or just love bold citrus flavors, do NOT skip this. It is a definite MUST try. Another thing that deserves a special mention is their iconic green sauce. It seriously went with everything we ordered. Creamy, herby, and just the right amount of kick, it elevated every dish from the yuca and calamari to the Lomo Saltado. We found ourselves reaching for it nonstop. Seriously one of those sauces you immediately wish you could take home. The customer service truly elevated the entire experience. Fabrisio, the owner, was phenomenal! He took the time to personally explain each dish, walk us through the flavors, and even share the story of how his restaurant came to be. You can feel the passion he has. Not just for Peruvian cuisine, but for creating a welcoming space for people to enjoy it. Super nice guy, super chill, and genuinely down-to-earth. The whole place gave off strong family vibes, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Shoutout to Melissa as well, who was serving us. She was attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. The service felt thoughtful and personal, not transactional. Over all we had the best experience, truly. Whether you're new to Peruvian food or already love it, this spot is a gem. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. We will be back and have already recommended this place to my family and friends! Thanks so much for having me. :D
