This review is for the Pollo a la Brasa, take out. it's absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked every time. The service is excellent. everyone is so attentive and friendly. The food is always packaged really well, and the spicy sauces are amazing. I also love that they have Inca Kola and alfajores for dessert. This is my go-to spot for the best Peruvian chicken. The place is clean, and they even sell some Peruvian products.

The yummy sauces!!! Must try all of them!

I love(d) this place, but.. The price has gone up so much that it is no longer worth going to. The quality is ok, the service is still the same. The food itself is the same. The inside is pretty much unchanged too. Everything is still the same, but the price is way too much.

I got sick eating here recently ... We will not be coming back My friend and I noticed the food tasted off , especially the fries... I had the 1/4 chicken with beans and fries and she had beef saltado ... A few hours later I was feeling ill ... I tried the sauces too and I am not sure what made me sick because the chicken was cooked enough

I am so tired of restaurants being so greedy. $ 5 for sauce. mind you I order a family chicken combo.

Parking situation is absolutely horrible. Located in a sketchy part of the Valley. I found parking. Walked inside and it was absolutely empty. I was greeted quickly and ordered the half Pollo con Platanos y Papas. This place easily accommodates small groups of 2-6 people. I also ordered an Inka Cola. I was given a cup with ice and a straw. The chicken was quite possibly the best roasted chicken I've had in LA. It had a bit of a smoky aroma and the skin was slightly burnt to a beautiful crisp. The meat was just incredibly tasty and so well cooked. I poured the green Peruvian sauce they use and the flavors were enhanced so well. I personally like eating my Platanos until they cool down significantly. They were sweet and so good. They're fries, didn't seem special. But I gotta tell you they have thick cut fries and they season them so well. Paired nicely with my chicken. Overall, the Hospitality was just right. Food came out in a respectable amount of time. It was an amazing lunch and honestly. This is one of those memorable meals that you crave again and again and makes you come back. I would absolutely recommend this place.

    Some of their specialisties

I had seen this spot before and had seen some reviews on yelp but had never checked it out. Today, I happened to be in the same plaza, had already bought pupusas from next door and decided to come inside and see their menu. The guy/server taking the orders was helpful, friendly and even made several recomendations and also explained what some of their dishes consisted of. His name I believe is Cesar. I can definitely say their service is on point. I ordered their popular lomo saltado de res, it comes with rice and potatoes and was impressed with the portions. The meat was flavorful and so was their green sauce. The time to get my food was less than 10 min. The inside looks clean and spacious. They have several tables to dine in. I ordered my for to go. Will definitely come back to try different menu items.

    Plastic Utensils

Ordered a Lomo Saltad. Was $24 and had to eat with Plastic Utensil's & 1 Napkin. Not once was I helped. Very Average Food. Not worth the price.

1/4 chicken with rice and beans

Decent chicken with delicious rice and beans. Lots of flavor. Chicken portion a little on the small side, but sides were ample. Price was very reasonable at $10.50. Next time will order more. Restaurant clean. Server friendly. Ambiance pleasant though tvs were loud. Still enjoyable and a solid meal.

1/4 Chicken with French Fries and Plátanos

This is a little hidden gem in the valley. In my opinion, the best Peruvian asado chicken. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Even though it's a small place, there's always a place to sit.

However it must have been the end of the lunch rush because not even a couple minutes later a few tables cleared out. On a warm day their pitcher of chicha was the way to go. Very refreshing and not overly sweet. Our table ordered anticuchos; extremely flavorful, lomo saltado; so so good. Fries were perfect, meat was tender and the sauce was the perfect salty tangy seasoning. Although I do feel it was a tad light on the portion of meat compared to other places. We also shared the Ronda marina. A variety of seafood dishes allowing you to try the ceviche, fried fish, seafood rice, and chorros a la chalaca. You can order your spice level as well. We were given menus and a few minutes later asked if we wanted anything to drink, and if we were also ready to order. We asked for a few extra minutes. When I saw the menu, I thought, and should have stuck to my gut, that the "Peruvian style Chinese" is a what the hell does that mean situation. Man, did I go wrong for not giving that a hell naah! The waitress brought out some hot bread and butter, as well as cold iced waters for us. We than placed our order. We ordered a chaufa de pollo (chicken fried rice), parihuela (soup), and a jalea (fried seafood). When the food came, all the smells hit, and I just knew it was not what I wanted or expected. I was expecting awesome wok-charred fried rice. What I got was some barely wok-ed rice, no depth of flavor, but lots of a CHINESE flavor/seasoning. HORRIBLE, why would you do this?!? What the hell!!!! This is definitely not what Peruvian fried rice is. No where near what it should be. The parihuela is something I've never had, so I cannot compare it to any others, but from it being my first time trying this, this is what i think. I think it was actually pretty good. It had lots of seafood umami (flavor). It had great depth. It had lots of crab smell, but why no crab? None at all, just the smell. Lots of fish and squid. The jalea, yucca not fried enough, it was slightly under. Lots of lemon-ny red onions on top, which is great as it helps cut all the nasty feelings of eating fried stuff. Only two pieces of shrimps, that were small too! It had 4 pieces of fish, and the rest was calamari. I am fine with it, but the shrimps should be larger. The batter should be thinner. The pieces should be crispier. Nothing great about this dish. It's so easy, yet it was not thought of well enough to make it great. Don't waste your time or money here. It's not authentic. It's not great. It's just passable food. The best thing of this meal was the bread and butter, and the cold iced water. The service was good too, but the food was not up to par. I feel like they may have made my food according to us being Asian, but who knows and who cares, I don't plan on coming back.

It's been around for over 20 years and is currently in a newer space than it was before; featuring more parking and a larger space. Ambiance: The interior has a relaxed feel with beachy surfer themed decor. It has a clean modern feel with a bunch of tables featuring accent colored chairs. There is music in the background and a TV on the wall featuring surfing videos. Service: You order at the counter, they ring you up and you get the food brought out. You can see the kitchen as it's open. It was my first time and it was a simple and easy experience. Everything came out in a timely fashion. Food: Some of their specialities include the 20+variations of fried empanadas (meats, chicken, pork, veggie, dessert) that come in both savory and sweet types, as well as their speciality plates such as their Korean-style flat iron steak skewers and chicken satay. The sauces they serve with their empanadas are incredible and some of the best I've ever had such as their chimmi-churri, basil-aioli and sweet & sour Thai. I recently did the lunch combo featuring a choice of a 1/2 salad or 1/2 fries, choice of any two empanadas and a canned drink. I chose beef and Kailua pig empanadas; both were great, empanadas didn't break apart and were crispy, everything was seasoned well; the filling of the beef was a bit more than the Kailua pig however. Drinks: They have various drinks such as lemonade, juices, sodas/soft drinks, and some beers on tap. Parking: The lot is large and has ample parking depending on the day and time.
