Unfortunately, as much as I wanted this place to be good it really is not, when they say it's homemade it really is because I think I could've done a better job, the pupusa are not good I tried a cheese and they were just not good. My sister tried the ones with the beans and cheese and they were definitely not good. They were even worse. I was really hoping they were because then I'd have a local pupusa restaurant to go to, their sauce for the pupusa and the cabbage was not good at all. Updating my review to 5 stars! They have improved their pupusas. The pupusas were already very tasty, but now they have a lot of stuffing. Which is the way I like them. I recently tried their "sopa de gallina" which the literal translation would be "hen soup or chicken soup"(but way different than most chicken soups). This soup has become my favorite sopa de gallina in the valley. The broth was very tasteful, and the chicken(which comes on the side) was a bit roasted which is the way I like it. This is a small business run by women, family-owned. Since we were eating a very late lunch, we ordered pupusas and tamales. The masa flavor of the tamales is excellent. I ordered the chicken and it came with two small strips of breast meat and some potatoes, but it was flavorful. The pupusas were the highlight for me. I ordered jalapeño and cheese and chorizo. There was no skimping on the ingredients with the pupusas and the pickled cabbage and salsa were both very fresh. I can't wait to come back and try their soups when the weather cools down.
