I wish I could rate the food but quite frankly it never came. However the service ... my goodness was egregiously terrible. I am not sure if the waitress was having a bad day but she quite literally made it her life's objective to make my experience, my aunt experience and my daughters experience the most terrible experience ever. The waitress ignored our simple order for coffee, and told us that she cant brew any faster and proceeded to refill the other preferred tables coffee. Needless to say, we left, empty stomached, dumbfounded and incredibly upset. And from the look of other reviews, its a common occurrence. read more

THE BEST PAPUSAS I've had... hands down! so sweet and friendly, everything was fresh and delicious!

I went in on Saturday to order some Papusas, I wanted 4 2 cheese 2 cheese with beans. She tells me it's going to be 35 minutes. What?!? That made zero sense to the me, 35 minutes for a regular menu items. I decided to go else where. Unacceptable and I won't come back. read more

I love their pupusas and appreciate that they make them from good ingredients. The wait is a bit long so if they say 20 minutes expect at least 30 minutes. I'm not sure if the business owners also tend the restaurant but they could be a bit friendlier. It's a small restaurant so usually order to go. If ur looking for good food stay away from this place .. maybe 5+ years ago it was decent. Didn't even know which of the name of the restaurants to put my review. They both have awful reviews. Ordered a desayuno with platanos frijoles and crema. It's supposed to be Salvadoran crema which usually is a yellow buttery color. This one was white and watered down.. no flavor . Platanos were drenched in oil.. I dont think they were drained.. the beans were ok. Super soupy and no flavor. My daughter had 2 pupusas revueltas and were raw on the inside.. asked for an horchata and they didn't have any. Not sure if it's a catering business or a restaurant but it seems like they focus more on catering than they do the customers. Will definitely be making the drive out to North hollywood to go to my go 2 pupuseria. read more

This Salvadoran restaurant has the best tamales de elote dulce and Los tamales de gallina. Las pupusas are ok no big deal. The rest of the food is alright. I love coming here for the pupusas , 9/10 I highly recommend. I will always come and pick some up at least once a month. Bring plenty for friends and family of course. I was coming from work and was hungry I ask for Hen (aka chicken ) soup I did not enjoyed it the rice was rancid it seems like it was rotten the food is not good it seems like they don't make fresh each day but they make for more days and reheat horrible way . Not great. My friend and I went here to get pupusas because our usual spot was closed. They weren't closing for 40 minutes yet we were told we had to take it to go. The lady didn't seem too happy we wanted to come and give her money. We got revueltas, chicharon con frijoles, and frijoles and queso. They weren't that flavorful and the curtido and salsa roja weren't either, they also really needed salt. We also ordered the casamiento and I have never had it that way, it was super blended almost like a paste. It was decent but weird texture. I'm surprised this place has such few yelp reviews because it's been around for over a decade. They serve traditional Salvadorian food and it's amazing! Their pupusas (a thick hand-made corn tortilla stuffed with different things including cheese, pork, refried beans) are amazing! They're made as you order them and their cheese is delicious. I've tried their cheese pupusa, cheese with pork, cheese with beans and pork, and cheese and lo loroco (a Salvadorian herb). This place is a small hole in the wall but the staff is friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend this place! read more

I'm writing this review based on the seafood soup I ordered. I got the #37 mares (7 seas) soup. It had all kinds of variety of seafood. It had plenty of shrimp, mussles, fish etc.. **stomach aches, vomiting!!!** Gave them a chance yesterday despite the negative reviews about the service. I thought the food would make up for the service.....no. First, as soon as you walk in it smells like old oil that would instantly fail a health inspection. I should have left but since I drove across the valley to find a tamale I roughed it out. When you walk in the staff in the kitchen doesn't acknowledge you so you have to call them to place your order despite them clearly seeing you stand there. Ordered 5 tamales to go and plantains with cream. It took them over 30 mins to give me my order when the tamales where already sitting in a pot (saw the woman take them out when I was about to cancel my order). The plantains take no time to prepare but yet took the entire 30 mins and tasted like the nasty oil fragrance that welcomes you. The chicken in the tamales just said hi and disappeared bc it mainly consisted of dough. My baby boy and I had a sleepless night mixed with vomiting and cries thanks to the tamales. So everything they say about the place is true: terrible employee attitude, bad food and the worst of all: bad quality bc we got sick from it. Just don't go- you are warned. read more

I've been here over the years now and think its time for a review. Actually quite late for a review. So lets start the only ever reason why i come to this establishment is for the salvadorian style meal named popusas, nothing else at all so i have no idea what the other dishes they have are like. Further more the popusas are delicious and that is why i have been coming for a number of years. A quick explanation of what a popusa is, its a tortilla style texture but with more moisture and it has a filling whether its cheese, beans, or both inside. It comes with a coleslaw style side that you eat together but it is vinegar tasting. Overall this place is great when it comes to the popusas they manufacture here. cheers. read more

This place is very meh. I came here for some pupusas, but these were not that great. First of all, the location itself is hidden, I wouldn't have realized this place didn't exist if I wasn't sitting at the stop light looking around. I thought it was be a good hole-in-the wall to check out since there were quite a few people there, but I was very disappointed. There is some decorations from El Salvador, and there is a large screen TV too. A group of 4 would be able to eat there comfortably. If it is more, then you might need an additional table and the place is small already. The fluorescent lighting didn't make it very lively. The atmosphere actually felt quite gloomy, and the waitress did not help at all. She was very moody, and not very nice. I was a little scared. When we got there, we were the only ones there, the waitress took our orders but still forgot my milkshake. At least she was able to bring everything else, but she mixed my order. I wanted one with pork and cheese and the other with beans and cheese, but brought me both pork and cheese. The pupusas was good, but it wasn't as flavorful as other places. It was pretty plain. The portions were good though, and a pretty good price. So much cheaper than farmer's market pupusas. When you are done you pay at the register. You can pay with cash or card and they can split the check at the register. Just let them know what you are paying for. I will most likely not come here again. There are other places that have pupusas that taste so much better with a descent price. read more

She gave my mom tortillas and saw that my mom was touching the tortillas and came and snatched them from the table her excuse was that she gave us extra tortillas. Then gave them to another order.
