Howdy howdy Alright, listen up. If you're not sure about Listo El Pollo, I am here to push to give it a try. I was not looking forward to it, very hesitant but after 20 minutes of reviewing the pictures and reading the old menu pictures I somehow convinced myself. Trust me I went all in, I got the whole chicken special to go, which comes with two large sides and a 2L soda. Lots of food, for my sides I went for the fries, and beans. The fries are just regular fries house made I assume, 2.5 out of 5. The Peruvian beans also 2/5 . The chicken though! Wow, whatever rub they use made it delicious. That I will give a 6/5 that's how good it is. I also got the Yuca. The yuca was bare with nothing but I love Yuca so to me it was delicious especially bcus I dipped the yucca in that yellow spicy sauce which bam was a party in my mouth! I also got the rice chaufa combination with it all.. shrimp, lomo, chicken and egg and onions and man!! So honestly give it a try. I will definitely order again! read more

It's on the corner of reseda and vanowen. Same little center as subway. The parking lot can be very hectic since they have so many little shops. If you order pickup and are going to be fast then there is a jack in the box parking lot right next to it. I usually just go in and out so I haven't had any problems. So the chicken here was really well cooked. A lot of flavor. I got the meal which is half a chicken with beans and a salad. I think it came out to 16.00. The prices are a bit higher than what I saw online. They always seem busy. Everyone was wearing a mask. If you're looking for some good food I really do recommend this place. read more

Tasty food, but extremely expensive for the quality and service. Yes, the food is tasty, but it's not organic non gmo etc to demand such a high price. The ambiance is mediocre, low end furniture, a small tv mounted on the wall, sticky tables and floors, and it's located in a sketchy small shopping center in reseda. But yes, the food is tasty!! We usually love the food here. However, I had been telling my husband about the arroz con pollo and couldnt wait for him to try it. We ordered that and lomo Saltado. The chicken was the smallest thing! Mostly bone. But the worst part was the potatoes that I was also looking forward too was undercooked so it was crunchy and inedible. Such a disappointment especially for how much the prices have gone up. I called and left a message for the manager, he never called me back. This might be my favorite Peruvian food spot that's centrally located. Once you find parking in the tiny parking lot or adjust areas, you'll find an seating immediately in this lovely restaurant that runs on a pile of wood in the corner. I believe it's this wood that fuels the distinct flavor of Listo helping it rise above over Peruvian restaurants. A Chio's opened up recently on Ventura on Woodland HIlls, but it somehow lacks the depth of food you find at Listo. Prices vary but all seem reasonable considering the quality of food that's served and the wait times aren't very long at all even during busy dinner hours. I had the tallarin saltado and pollo saltado. These dishes are about the same except for noodles versus rice/fries. I would suggest getting the pollo saltado next time as the fries appear to be cut in-house. They're chunky, with the flavor and texture of In-N-Out fries but thicker. You'll pay first before receiving food and I would suggest a decent tip as the food is certainly worth it. read more

Think I found my pollo a la brasa spot. So far, it's one of the best I've had in the valley and there A LOT of Peruvian restaurants in the area! The pollo was soft, juicy, and the flavors were flavoring! I love their aji sauce and the yellow dipping sauce too. Def recommend this place over almost any other pollo a la brasa place. read more

1/5 Stars. Please read this review before attending this location, the staff is highly rude and the food is not what you will expect. I placed a order on the phone for a 1/4 chicken special with fries, was told to pick up in 10 minutes. When arrived I picked up my food and went home to enjoy my meal. When I arrived home I opened up the container and was greeted with a horribly burnt chicken and cold fries. (I live 3 minutes away) I called the restaurant to complain and the staff member on register made it seem like I wanted a free replacement which I told her that wasn't the reason why I was calling, I only called to complain about the burnt food they served me. The staff member was rude, unprofessional, and highly uneducated. I suggest you pick another restaurant because you cannot count on this one. (To the restaurant owner, please train your staff better) Edit 10:59pm 3/19/20 Restaurant owner called me back and harassed me on the phone. I'm assuming she checked the restaurant caller ID. Great food! Nice service. I always get the pollo a la brasa with either rice /fries and salad. You can really taste the smoky woodfire favor and great spices infused into the chicken. Always delicious! Love the Aji Verde Peruvian green chilli sauce here. IT'S ADDICTING. The Lomo Saltado here is also delicious! I mean it's steak on veggies on fries on rice - meat is tender and juicy, fresh cut fries, and nicely seasoned. This place itself is clean, upbeat, friendly service, and great food. BEWARE! This place is such a disappointment! We ordered rotisserie chicken and not only the chicken was dry but the fries were awful! Also, although we ordered a few hours ahead, the order ended up being late because the oven was slow? Not them, the oven! Then we had to deal with the owner/manager as we had an issue with a chicken we were charged for but never received and he was rude and unwilling to work things out. Never again! Update: I've reported the owner with law enforcement as she has not stopped harassing and threatening me for posting this review. She found me on social media platforms and sent me threatening messages and now she just posted this as well on my Yelp. For those non spanish speakers, she is saying she knows where I work and that I should delete my review. Attached are some pictures. To Maritza (owner): in this country we do get legal consequences for harassing and threatening people and I have all of it in writing, so you might want to back off now! read more

Ate here a few weeks back. Very good portions for the price. Tonight was the same, good service and fast delivery on orders. They offer three types of sauces that are delicious, the traditional verde is above average. After looking for years for a place that makes these dishes as well as Mario's in Hollywood, I finally found one that's actually EVEN BETTER. We did the Lomo Saltado, Pollo a La Brasa, Ceviche, Rice, Beans, Salad, Plantains. There is not one single thing we wouldn't order again and honestly we all wish we could order it again tomorrow Go there now and make your belly the happiest its been all year (Oh and the sauces! Always coming here for the Chicken because everything else is not good. But this time Chicken was burn outside dry inside. Normally I paid $33 for the whole Chicken. This time they charge me $37.77 because I was eating there. Is OK... BUT NO A/C in summer time. I asked is the A/C working. The cashier said YES. I went and check it was OFF. I asked if they can turn the A/C on, and one of the guys said is Broken. So he ask to one of his employee to open the door.. Outside was 100F inside it was like Hell. I would like to say I am very impressed with this Peruvian Food! I went here earlier today around 5pm & ordered the Tallarines Verde with Lomo! The green sauce was amazingly delicious, packed with & drowning in flavor! The noodles were soft and easy to bite into and the Lomo with the noodles were just heavenly! Like I said what a surprise! My friend ordered the Lunch Special with their Rotisserie Chicken with two sides , which he got Rice & Fries! He let me try to the Chicken , it was so tender and basically melted in my mouth which a lot of chicken nowadays can't really do. I tried the fries too and it was quite better than most of the fast food fries that I usually eat! * I highly consider ordering it for takeout and getting there 5 mins after it's ready because the parking and chaotic driving here is crazy even inside the parking lot! The customer service was great, the lady was really nice and easy to talk to! They have a bunch of sweets and drinks in the front that I had my eyes on for awhile, while I was paying and she was packing my food up! The sweets look so delicious and they got the OG Inca Cola! Driving through Reseda, I decided to give this place a try for lunch today. The location is very unassuming and next to a liquor store in a strip mall-- the last place you'd expect to find authentic Peruvian cuisine. I arrived just before noon and the place was practically empty. The interior of the restaurant was small, but warm and cozy. Simple décor and handful of tables provide the platform for your dining comfort, including cool Latin music and flat screen TV tuned to Telemundo. Since I was the only one here, I wasn't sure if it was full service so I ordered at the counter. I ended up getting the tacu tacu con lomito, which was similar to lomo saltado but without fries and the rice was a Latin version of jambalaya with beans. It was terrific and slight twist on the Peruvian food that I'm used to. The sliced steak was well seasoned, tender and really tasty. I enjoyed the rice dish as well. The green sauce was fantastic and had good kick to it amplifying the flavors of the dish. Portions were just right and the price reasonable ($14). Along with my meal, I ordered a refreshing Chicha Morada drink. This dark red, purplish colored concoction was Peru's version of a fruit punch . I asked one of the workers what it was made of and he said "Corn". Yes, Corn Amigo! Peruvian purple corn to be exact and mixed with fruit, and spices. It was my first time and was delicious. I enjoy great discoveries like these and the experience was delightful. By the way, they use real wood to cook their roasted chicken which I hear are excellent. We ordered food from Listo el Pollo and though my husband enjoyed it I would have to say the food was too salty. I think if they reduced the salt I could taste the food better. Solid Peruvian food. As usual, a bit salty. Wanted to eat plain rice with the salty chicken but then the rice was salty too (maybe made in a broth? has a slight color to it). They didn't have the "Tallarines Verdes" (Pesto Pasta) like I had hoped when I visited, so just ask. Note for Owner: Our to-go bags are always leaking everywhere, it's really gross to deal with and always makes a mess. The Lomo Saltado styrofoam container is always wet and leaks the most into the bags. read more
