Very refreshing and not overly sweet. Our table ordered anticuchos; extremely flavorful, lomo saltado; so so good. Fries were perfect, meat was tender and the sauce was the perfect salty tangy seasoning. Although I do feel it was a tad light on the portion of meat compared to other places. If you want some real OG Peruvian food, check them out. The waitress is super nice, the food is fire, there restaurant is always clean, and they place a mix of music on a TV. We always get a mixture of different dishes but two staples are their salad and avocado stuffed with chicken (super light and fresh). As for the environment, it was hot. The electricity went out right as we got our food so the restaurant started getting hot quickly. But my plate needed a little more cooking, also the service was fair, I had to go look for someone because I was missing spoons or forks, I waited a long time for someone to take my order and they didn't come back when I asked them to. The ambience was kinda loud but it was just fine. But I have one complaint about my server when I was paying my bill she ask for a tip and then get mad because I didn't left her a tip. After all the 4 Star reviews I wanted to go to this place and try it out. We ordered a salteado de mariscos y bistec a lo pobre. We found a hair on the bistec a lo pobre on the fries. Service was rushed the lady didn't even wait for us to tell her what we wanted to drink she practically decided for us. We asked for ketchup as we had fried in our plates and she only gave us 3 little ketchup packets which was not enough. We kept on asking for more and she kept bringing us 2 packets more. So limited. The prices are not updated on their menu so whenever you order you have no idea what the prices are. At the end the server practically asked for her tip. Which to be honest I thought that was rude. For the service she provided to us, she shouldn't have asked for gratuity. I won't go back, from my personal experience. To begin with, they don't turn on the air conditioning, they have giant fans (above the tables) so all the air was blowing towards my table, then the apathetic waitress, the menu doesn't have a price and when asked about the prices, she says it's because the owner doesn't put them, so we can be surprised by the prices, by law there should be prices out of respect for the consumer, there is no relationship between quantity, quality, quality and price, excessively expensive for a mid-range restaurant, I didn't leave very happy. read more

I was craving a pan con chicharrón this morning and after calling a couple of different places in the valley, I decided to try Rincon Criollo. The porcion de chicharron was so good and authentic and it reminded me of the ones I used to get in Lima. I paired it with a tamal that was also super tasty. The quality of the seafood is fresh but what really takes it away is everything else. The leche de tigre was perfect, the cusco corn, toasted corn, and sweet potato were all WARM when I was eating it. Usually those ingredients play second fiddle but oh man they were the star at this place. Doesn't look like much if you drive by but man, I was glad I didn't judge a book by it's cover as the food is DELICIOUS! My husband and I were greeted warmly and seated. Yes, the place isn't fancy, but you kinda already know that going in. The ceviche here is amazing! While I like to try new things, 9 of out of 10 times, I go for ceviche, it's so good! I randomly stumbled across this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. The food was pretty good (I ordered the Saltado de lomo y camarones). It was packed for a small spot, so that was a sign that the food must be good. I wouldn't say it's the "best" Peruvian food, but it was better than decent. I feel that they need to work on their customer service and greetings. As a customer I was not greeted and didn't even see the hostess.
