I'm so confused why this business is closed on a Sunday at 3pm? Their business hours state they are open until 8pm. Worse yet I ordered food online on their website and now I came to pick it up and they are closed?? No ability for me to even get a refund at this point. I enjoy trying out hole-in-the-wall type of places and this was a good find! I can't say if they're authentic or not since I haven't had much Salvadoran food before but I liked most everything I've tried so far. Their pupusa with curtido and salsa is so good! Personally didn't love their tamal de pollo but their tamal de elote was pretty good. Since they are a small restaurant they have been out of things I've ordered a couple of times. It does tend to take a while for your order to be ready so ordering by phone is a good idea. Also, they have a special every weekday which you might want to take advantage of. One thing to note is that though it's not posted anywhere, they charge you $1 for paying with card. Parking lot is kind of small and a bit cramped but there's also street parking close by. read more

Worst Place to eat honestly. The service sucks and they are very very slow when you ask them for something. I ordered a Plato de plátanos that comes with crema and she wanted to charge me for another side crema. The pupusas were not even good looked like those frozen ones. Thursday's they have a pupusa special for $1.50 for revuelta and you can't beat that price. The cebada was so refreshing and the quesadilla is amazing. The food is plentiful, always warm and the staff is very attentive. The parking lot can get full, so I typically ride my bike there.

I came in at 7:15 and told me that the food would be to go. I said why and they told me they were about to close when the establishment says they close at 8. Then this gentleman comes in at 7:30 and the lady said sorry the lady in the back just turn off the grill and is washing dishes. I could tell the gentleman was very disappointed and was hungry. I wanted to line this place because of its proximity to our house. Corn tamales were way undercooked (mushy and no edible). The Yuca and Chicharrón were way over cooked (hard). The pupusas are decent at best . This is not about the food. This review is about the Menustar site used by this restaurant. According to the girl working here, the Menustar site is a scam. If you order from that site, then your order will NOT be sent to the restaurant AND you will have to dispute the charge with your credit card. I asked the girl why is this site associated with their restaurant. She didn't have a solid answer - which is okay, she's not the owner - although she also didn't apologize for the inconvenience. So now, I have to wait an extra 35 minutes for my food, with a hungry baby next to me, and we can't go outside because it's 100 degrees F. I'm not happy about this Fwiw, Uber eats and GrubHub are valid. read more

So this was my 3rd time there and I ordered pupusas and the first time they were filled nicely so this time they were not as stuffed and I called and complained well the owner was grateful I told him and asked me to come they would replace them so I came in and the wife was upset and told me she would talk to the cook from Saturday because she over stuffed them so basically she got I. I have tried almost every Salvadoran restaurant in the SFV since my family moved here years ago from Hollywood area. For 15 years, I could not find a decent Salvadoran restaurant in the SFV (no joke), so I kept having to drive to LA whenever I craved Salvadoran food. The search in the SFV is over, because this is an authentic Salvadoran restaurant outside of El Salvador. I recommend the traditional pupusas (they have a variety of fillings), the Salvadoran enchiladas and Salvi French toast (torrejas). AMAZING food! read more
