I was skeptical of this spot, but my fiancee is Salvadorian and I knew it would likely make him happy so we decided on this spot for breakfast. First sign to walk away should have been that you have to ring a doorbell to be let in, but whatever, we were already there with company and hungry, so no turning back at this point. The outside and inside of the restaurant is old and outdated, the tables are wobbly and the cherry on top is the cracked dishes. The lady taking the order does not speak a single word of English, so my fiancee translated "chilaquiles" for her. I felt very out of place. The food has 4 star prices with 2 star quality and presentation. If I'm going out to eat I'm not just looking for convenience, I'm also looking for taste and service. The drinks were great, I got the passion fruit juice, fiancee had a bottled Coke and bestie went with a horchata. I paid with card, and I typically decline the tip so I can leave that in cash, but somehow the register decided to add a tip anyway, luckily I noticed so I didn't leave an extra tip. If you don't speak Spanish, don't bother coming here. I would love to give them a try for other items, but sadly the breakfast experience left a bitter enough taste that I will not be returning here. read more

Okay so I've come across a video from an influencer and food looked amazing First of all not one person speaks English is there and none of the food had descriptions or photos No menu but a black board full of chaotic writing with a million items The lady just stands there looking at your soul rushing you into ordering, since we felt rushed and my husband was rushing me, I just ordered whatever Not that she didn't even try to help or ask what we wanted or what each plate brings Pupusas were mid, the curtido looked like it's been sitting out for a while . The plantain with cream and bean pictured here was 19 dollars We ended up spend $60-$65 for this food pictured here!!!! No wonder the restaurant is empty! Salvadoran Breakfast, beans and rice were over salted, "fresh" tortilla was hard in the corner like it was sitting out, too hard to chew had to spit back out, asked for chorizo with the breakfast and was charged but no chorizo anywhere. If you're going to upsell and charge that much at least include the item. read more

I'd give them three stars but they get an extra one because they have the best quesadillas I've ever had. I'm not typically a fan because I find them a little dry but the ones here are a tad moist, which I loved. As for the pupusas, I'm gonna have to give them a 3 out of 5. The masa was a bit too crisp and I could tell right away they didn't use the right cheese. I later learned from the employee that they blend five cheeses together. I wasn't a fan of that. So over all, not a terrible place. My friend really enjoyed them and I didn't hate it. Definitely returning for those quesadillas! read more

I love this place so much. Their pupusas are great, their fried yuca and the chicharrones feel fresh and well cooked, my parents adore when I buy them tamales con crema, their horchata is delicious. My only 2 complains are that the place is pretty small, and that they take a bit too long to bring you the food (but it's expected when you want quality food). I adore this place so much! read more

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for over two decades, and they have always been pure, traditional quality. They have the best pupusas in the Valley and some of the best I've ever had, including from El Salvador. Their other food is also just as good, their Yuca con Chicharrón is made perfectly, the yuca is crisp outside and soft and warm inside. Their chilate reminded my mother of her childhood. You will probably have to wait a bit for your order. They receive and prepare orders made vía telephone along with orders made in person and everything is home-made. It is well worth any wait, but if you prefer, you can call and order in advance. They used to have an old-school jukebox, but they still play good Central-American music. The place has been humble, but they really take care of their restaurant. If you like Salvadoran food, or if you want to be given a proper introduction to it: this restaurant is an absolute must. read more

This place needs help with workers. Once the restaurant is filled up, they get busy. It's not their fault they can't handle the rush. Little things are forgotten. A pupsas here, a cortido and salsa missing with the order. Nothing compares to the original country and pricing and it's not fair. But I'm gonna give this place another chance for sure. I gotten food here before and it was done on time and food came out fine. I didn't have the best experience but it's alright. I'm still on a Salvadorian high. Best tip: order ahead (if they can answer the phone while be busy, or to avoid the rush of any kind) There's only so many tables for people to come in and out. Checked out this place as it was recommended by my mom for popusas. I was not disappointed. The food is tasty and hot. Don't come starving because it does take a while to get your order. We usually order to go but had the chance to stop by and enjoy the food fresh! The taste was perfect, right amount of cheese & revuelta, not like some places where it's overly cheesy. The pastelitos were also fresh , crunchy & savory!! As busy as they were, the service was quick & friendly , you order at the cashier but they bring the food to you & pick up after as well. I can't believe I hadn't tried this place in the 10 years we have lived near it. It is delicious, the pupusas were VERY GOOD and authentic. They had a lot of "filling", other restaurants just have a bunch of masa and not enough filling. The revueltas were my favorite! The flavor was perfect and they were cheesy goodness. The curtido and slasita de tomate had a nice kick and the authentic taste was perfect. We also had the atole de elote, tasted delicious, and had actual elote in it. Soooo good!!! Lastly the empanadas de leche were the perfect finish to our meal. The owner Carlos and his daughter we nice and welcoming, he shared some insights about the menu and how everything is made fresh in house. FINALLY what sold me- as soon as I walked in, THIS PLACE IS CLEAN!! The floor was spotless, the dining area was clean, tables and chairs were spotless and the kitchen looked pretty spotless.
