I came here when they first opened and honestly wasn't impressed. It felt kind of chaotic and a bit expensive, especially for the amount of food on the plates. It left a bad taste in my mouth, so I avoided coming back for a while. Then my friend went and couldn't stop talking about how good it was. He actually went back a few times, so I figured I needed to give it another chance. I'm glad I did! The service felt much calmer and more on it, but the food was the biggest surprise. Everything tasted fresher, the portions felt better, and overall the food was just really, really good. Definitely feels like they've made some great improvements since they first opened. So Sunday I got a couple of dishes from Mariscos Corona; the owner Joel always accommodate my needs! I got a most delicious shrimp and octopus ceviche: omg I do not eat tostadas but even just simply the ceviche alone was so great and fresh! I also got a grilled sea bass with a green salad and tomatoes on the side Well that is how the restaurant lost a star and only gets 4 stars: it was NOT GOOD: so dry and not to my taste, and really not cheap ($36) Oh well I ll try the place again, and hopefully with better choices read more

The food is delicious no doubt but i didn't get what i ordered even though im definitely sure i paid for it. I ordered an aguachile with mango, and a aguachile verde con callo de acha. the mango aguachile was delicious and the aguachile was good but i didn't get the callo de acha. the bill was 71.32 and i gave the cashier $72 and she didn't give me my change or my receipt. i love to eat out and am a great tipper but if you tip yourself on left over coins, that's all you get from me. will try again because the food is so delicious but right now i do feel like i was robbed. read more

Fish tacos at this place are probably the worst fish tacos I have ever had. It has super slimy tilapia inside, chopped half cooked onion, some weird mayonnaise like sauce. I paid $20 for 3 tacos. Consistently good food with generous portions. This is their second location and this one offers alcohol with a pretty decent happy hour from 3pm-6pm on weekdays. If you come here, expect to drop money. It is not cheap by any means; plates cost around 30 dollars, and a family platter will run you deep. That said, the food was good, but the wait was outrageous. We went for Father's Day, which we expected to have a wait, but when other big parties who arrived after you start getting their food first before your party, who arrived long before they did. That's an issue. The staff was okay, but on top of the crazy wait for your food to arrive, they rarely come around to assist you. Also, they nickel and dime you for everything. You want extra chips while you wait? That's an extra 3 dollars, do you want more soft drinks while you wait for the food you ordered an hour ago? Well, That's an extra few bucks, big parties? Extra few bucks, you want rice and beans with your order that most places already include in the plate? You have to pay for it, especially if you order the expensive parrillada plate for 4, which is already almost 200 bucks; you get no sides with it. The food is really good, don't get me wrong, but these prices, the whole nickel-and-dime you for everything, are just wild to me. I was wondering why the wait to get a table on Father's Day was so low, but now I know why. You will drop money here; be aware. If you're coming here because you saw the blow-up videos on TikTok or Instagram. Know that they don't mention the steep price you will pay. Food, yes, is really good, but is it that good? Also be aware that for whatever reason there are two areas to this place; if you get sat on the isolated side, you can't order alcohol because apparently that little area is not licensed... so you can't order a bomb michelada to go with your seafood. The food is always good, and the staff is super attentive and friendly. That is one of the reasons I have never felt the need to speak with management about anything. However, I'm not sure if it is this restaurant's policy, or if it is part of a newer way of doing things, but I've noticed that before we pay our bill, we are asked to tell our server what we will be tipping. If we are paying by card, it seems like the tip is addressed before we actually complete the payment. I have been here enough times to notice that this seems to be something only one specific server does. I have to admit, I dread getting her as our server because I find the interaction a little uncomfortable and, honestly, somewhat rude. I've never experienced this with any of the other servers, which is why I'm not sure if it is an individual practice or an actual restaurant policy. Aside from this particular interaction, I would honestly give this place a 10 out of 10. My family loves it, and I do too, which is why I've always just let it go. So happy they have another location, and this one is super spacious! This is my favorite mariscos spot in the SFV. The food is consistently good and the service is always excellent. The quality of their seafood is truly outstanding. You can always ask your server for menu recommendations, but you really can't go wrong with anything. I usually like to get either a ceviche or aguachile dish AND tacos because I love their Asada. I most recently tried the pulpo taco and holy moly. It was outstanding! So much flavor and the octopus was cooked to perfection. Also, the way they plate everything is so stunning. The restaurant overall has a beachy vibe that's super cute. They serve alcohol here too! I tried one of their micheladas and I'm a fan. Another bonus? They serve breakfast and they are family friendly! I can't write enough good things about Mariscos Corona. I'm always craving their food. This new location had plenty of seating area and t.v's to watch sport they do serve beer at this location. The seafood was delicious great flavors and fresh ingredients. Mariscos Corona is easy to find at the corner of Victory and Fulton. They have a large seafood menu with raw and cooked options.
