I like supporting local family owned businesses. Especially since my parents were also small businesses owners. I had a few interactions with the previous owner due to my job and had take out a couple times. It was good standard American Chinese take out. So today on my birthday I decided to treat myself a bit on indulging my craving for fried rice. I knew this place went through a change in ownership. I was excited about the new curry fried rice on the menu. It is my go to at another take out place. So I went in and ordered and was happy see they were decently busy. I always like to watch them cook on the wok. So I was checking things out through the curtain. Yeah it's a bit messy, but this isn't like some 5 star fine dining. The is the Chinese American equivalent to a greasy spoon diner. And this is definitely not some corporate chain. People the ghetto spots are always the best ones. The fried rice was ok nothing to go crazy about. It satisfied my craving, it's a decent curry fried rice and portion was good. Could it be better yeah but I'll give this place a couple more tries to see how consistent they are. Could they be a little cleaner and practice a bit more food safety standards sure. But I seen way worse at places you would t expect. Overall don't go in with high expectations of PF Changs quality and visual appeal. This is some homey cuisine. read more

I used to go there all the time , food was always good and reasonable priced , now there is a new owner and I was pointing out that the online ordering is not working correctly, he just kept yelling and shouting at me that somebody has to show me how to use the internet , really ?? I even tryed to demonstrate the online ordering to him , but he wasnt even interested in it , so ok , i ordered the Garlic Chicken to go , it took like 8 minutes and it was done , by opening the food container at home i couldnt believe that the food looked like a Campbell Canned Chicken soup without the broth, horrible looking and no taste whatsoever , just vegetables and a view junks of chicken , the rice was dry and could have been from yesterday ! The portions of food were big and the taste was not bad. However, the owner's customer service at the front and his blatant overcharging me for my food was ridiculous and upsetting. I got two dinner meals, which were $14 a piece with one having a $3 up charge for lo mein. I also got a small can of soda for less than a dollar and my friend got a $1 dollar Arizona iced tea. If we do the math, 14 + 14 + 3 lo mein + 1.75 for the drinks. I showed him the math on my calculator app and showed that the total was only $32.75 for the items I got whereas he charged me $41.46. When I asked him to explain the 9 dollar difference, he told me that it's because he has a 3% fee for credit cards. This wouldn't be a problem if 3% of 32.75 was $9, but it's only 98 cents. At the end of the day, I feel scammed and overcharged and when I showed him the proof on my calculator, he just told me I didn't add it up correctly and that my math is wrong. I asked for an itemized receipt showing the charges but he refused to give it to me. Oh Well, here it is for the world to see to correct my math if I am wrong. The food quality also wasn't very good, hence most likely why we were the only people in the place. Me and my friends will not be back. Now that the new ownership took over, comes with new recipes. The hot and sour soup improved and it's really good, hence the 2nd star. Lo mein not the same, and neither is their orange chicken, not in a good way. Before they used to put food in plastic containers with lid, now it's just styrofoam like panda, so if it tilts, sauce is out. I may give it another try one day, but not as good as it was. This is under new ownership. My first time going here was an experience let me tell you! I went Christmas night. I expected a little busy but this was unorganized busy. There was some people in there that had been waiting 90 mind (don't worry he told us as each second passed- It was beyond annoying and really rude) Im patient so I really didn't mind waiting BUT there was ZERO process to what he was doing. He was making orders that just came in before order that were waiting over an hour. I finally asked him to see the orders and assisted him in getting them in some kind of order that he could follow and shut off the DoorDash orders that were coming in that had NO chance of getting filled. Now let me say that the people were being rude and truly embarrassing it was Christmas and this was just gross- So I assisted him. Got all those people out that were yelling and rude and then I said okay make mine, mind you i have been there 2 hours at this point. Other people had come in during that time new ones shouting at him to make theirs and he did just that. I was there another hour after helping. I FINALLY got my food a total of 3 hour later and I got home and it was wrong. I am a vegetarian and ordered tofu - my son got orange chicken well they were BOTH chicken. CRAZY I even tipped him 20$ after helping him and I just think they need to get it together a little because this seems to be something that is going on on a regular day even. Its a small place and its just very basic - It could be cleaner for sure but you're usually not eating there you'll take it home. They don't have the best togo containers as well. They changed owners so all the recipes changes which is fine and I tried it anyways. The egg roll smelled like the cabbage was rotten on the inside. Love this small family owned business so much!! We were wondering why they closed for a few months and this was our first time back since the reopening. We were saddened to hear what happened to the old owners, but the new owners are awesome. This is mainly a take-out place, although there is limited seating within. You order at the front counter, preferably by number on the menu. I have been looking for a place near me that serves tofu dishes, and a glance at their menu from online sites showed that they have a number of tofu options. I ordered tofu with broccoli and garlic sauce, and General Tso's tofu. Both were satisfactory, not great. And I would have preferred for the General Tso's tofu sauce to be a little less liquid. The food is inexpensive, you get your food fast after ordering, and parking is no problem in the strip mall in which this establishment is located. read more

The food was horrible. I ordered beef with garlic sauce and received a little beef with thousands of onions and the sauce did not taste like garlic at all. The service wasn't that great either the lady was kind of nervous that I was standing and looking through the windows at the food being made, and asked me to sit down. However I have to say you get what you pay for - meaning we got the Singapore mi fun noodles - didn't have a lot of toppings on it. A HIDDEN GEM(for takeout)! The reviews on this place are decent but let me tellll you-- you get WAY more bang for your buck here and the food was very fresh tasting and good quality. Was expecting better We were looking for a quick bite to eat and decided to stop in at China Wok . The staff at Dargon Garden Express were friendly and accomdating. On this visit we ordered the wonton soup, lemon chicken, rice, and Chicken chow mein. To be honest, we were a little disappointed with all our entrée's. The seasoning level was nonexistent, the chicken was overcooked, there was just to much sauce and the Won Ton Soup had so much pepper, thats all we could taste. Our entrees just weren't very good Maybe I was expecting something more. I love Chinese food however, China Wok wouldn't be one of my first choices. Ok, I'm from Chicago and MKE, and I've been in AZ for almost 6 years and haven't found a good Chinese place until today! The food is fresh and tasty! I love, love, LOVED my General Tso's chicken. We haven't ordered much lately, due to developing food allergies; but we ordered the Singapore Mia Fun with curry powder & General TSO shrimp last night. It was delicious & a lovely spice to it. This place is great! Being from back east NJ NY area, it's hard to find a good Chinese restaurant. They have actual egg rolls that are big (none of that spring roll crap), boneless BBQ spare ribs, and shrimp fried rice that taste great and compares to back east Chinese food. If you're from back east and can't find a good Chinese place to eat, I highly recommend it here. The other option that compares to this one is Grace Garden. They are from NY. Noticed this little restaurant on Bell Road near my neighborhood and decided to give it a try. Their prices are reasonable and I like that I could order online for pick up. Staff was polite when I popped in to pick up my food and pay. Food was pretty standard for what you'd expect at a little place like this tucked into a strip mall. Filthy dirty! That was my observation but then I read their health dept inspection reports. It's a breeding ground for illness. Their recent AZ State Health Department of Health inspection report states: "Observed multiple live German cockroaches harboring in spaces and behind wall paneling below 3 compartment sink. Service has not been completed since last visit, additional call was placed at time. Please ensure premise are maintained free of pests at all times."
