This is a hit or miss type of place. Id say 70% of the time my chicken comes out stringy and tough to chew, not nice to eat. The other 30% it is very good. I always pair my meal with a boba tea, but 2/10 times the boba isn't soft. Hard boba will get stuck in your straw, and doesn't feel good to chew it seems wrong. Broccoli is usually over or under cooked. You can't address them after you get home because their phone doesn't accept calls. They do seem like nice people though. read more

A friend took me out for lunch. It was just a take-out place, but he wanted to eat there. He had teriyaki chicken bowl, and I wanted shrimp tempura. It was $5. for 3 pieces of shrimp, so I got a double order to get 6 pieces for $10. In a restaurant, $10. would get a entire entree with sides. Not here. Inside the shrimp tempura breading, I found only a TINY sliver of shrimp. All 6 pieces were tiny. It looked like a shrimp had been hammered thin. and then sliced into 4 or 5 tiny slices. So thin, there was no shrimp taste. I showed it to them, and they looked surprised. The dip that it came with was NOT the standard tempura dip you would would find in any other Asian restaurant. It was that thin cheap red stuff. If I had been paying for my lunch, I would have asked for a refund, but I did not want to embarrass my friend who was paying. I tasted his chicken teriyaki, which was a large bowl with plenty of sweet teriyaki sauce dumped on top. But the chicken tasted old and stale. With so many good Asian restaurants around town, why would you eat here? I doubt they will stay in business much longer. read more

Stopped by for boba tea. I think they use mixes based on the flavors, we did r see any actual fruit in the tea and they forgot the boba in the one where it was requested. We like boba teas made from fresh ingredients, not mixes, so we won't be back. read more

I normally have a great experience when I get takeout from NoRa Asian, but not today. I decided to walk-in and order my takeout due to not all menu items are available when ordering online. I ordered the crab Rangoon which I have had before and was not given the sweet and sour sauce that it normally comes with. I also ordered the chicken Katsu bowl (not avail on the online ordering) and asked if it came with rice to which I was told yes, but when I got home and opened it there was no rice and it doesn't look like a bowl (see pic). We love our noodles so we decided to stop and check it out. When we walked in, there was nobody else in there but the 2 employees which were just chilling. It was hard to order because of the language barrier. Food did not taste fresh, boba was not good, and soy sauce bottles were filthy! The location on the east side of the 51 is terrible. The teriyaki chicken was flavorless, and the pieces were either tough or fatty, or somehow both. We mostly picked at our rice and barely ate anything else in the bowl. I wouldn't say any part of the meal was "fresh." It's awkward eating because there's no music. Bathrooms kind of gross.
