It's located in an outdoor shopping center, and although the restaurant is on the smaller side, the interior design and decor reminded me of many of the Korean BBQ restaurants back home in California. It felt cozy and authentic. This is not an all-you-can-eat restaurant. We ordered the Small Beef Combo, 2 side of rice, Korean dumplings, and the strawberry basil lemonade. The only unlimited items are the traditional Korean side dishes. We were served five different banchan along with two salads. While they didn't bring every available side dish, the ones we received were actually very good. Unfortunately, the service is what ruined the experience for me. Our server, Huy, was also serving my friends' family seated at the table next to us. They had ordered the same Small Beef Combo. When Huy started grilling our brisket, he accidentally dropped one of our slices of meat onto the floor. He paused, clearly noticed it, and so did everyone at our table. However, there was no apology, no acknowledgment, and no offer to replace the piece. He simply continued cooking as if nothing had happened. A few moments later, he placed a Prime Ribeye on our grill. I told him we hadn't ordered that cut--it belonged to my friends' table. He then picked up the entire plate of raw ribeye from our grill and transferred it to their table. Even though they were our friends sitting right next to us, that didn't seem like proper food handling. When I mentioned the mix-up, he simply said the kitchen had made a mistake. Again, there was no apology. Toward the end of the meal, it seemed like Huy realized I was unhappy, but he never addressed either incident. The missing piece of brisket wasn't a significant financial loss, and the food itself was good. My disappointment was with the service. Mistakes happen in every restaurant. What matters is acknowledging them, apologizing, and making a reasonable effort to make things right. A simple apology and replacing the dropped piece of meat would have completely changed my impression. Because of the service, I don't plan on returning, which is unfortunate because the food and atmosphere were otherwise enjoyable.

Sunlight from the last traces of day caught the polished stone, and I followed its glow toward the sweeping Cinderella staircase. Descending each step felt like moving from grandeur into a secret world, until Kembara revealed itself--a serene, Asian-inspired enclave tucked beneath the resort. The transition from the bustling lobby to Kembara's intimate calm was immediate. At the host stand, the front desk team met us with warm smiles and easy conversation, their inviting manner making us feel less like visitors and more like guests arriving for a special occasion. The simple act of being welcomed so wholeheartedly set the stage for the evening. We were led to our table, where soft lighting cast a golden hue over the space. Almost at once, our server arrived, offering delicately scented towels to cleanse our hands. The subtle fragrance was a small but notable detail, signaling attention to the senses beyond taste. Our journey began with the Joy Luck cocktail. Presented in a low glass over a single, glistening ice cube, the drink was creamy with coconut milk, its aroma warm and tropical. The first sip was smooth, a gentle balance of spirit and sweetness that invited a slow, meditative start to the meal. Next came the sweet and spicy shrimp tempura. The dish arrived sizzling and fragrant, the crispy batter still whispering with heat. Each bite brought a satisfying crunch, quickly followed by a wave of sweet heat reminiscent of bang bang shrimp--but here, elevated, more refined, with a depth of flavor that lingered. For our mains, we ventured to the heartier side of the menu. The grilled New York strip arrived first, its charred edges releasing a smoky perfume, perfectly accompanied by tender baby bok choy with a subtle bitterness that balanced the steak's richness. Beside it, the pork belly noodles promised comfort and delivered with generosity--the noodles tangled with hearty, tender pork belly that surprised with its substance yet satisfied completely. As the evening drew to a close, dessert appeared like a whimsical encore: coffee donuts. The light-as-cloud beignets were tossed in flavored sugar, releasing a soft, sweet scent that mingled with the bold aroma of the Vietnamese coffee dip. The first bite cracked gently, then melted, the warm dough and coffee indulgence a perfect final note. Our server Colter was an excellent conductor on our delicious ride. His suggestions were both thoughtful and helpful.

Our server was informative, attentive, and incredibly fast, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the hospitality was outstanding. I've been wanting to try this place for a couple months since driving by on a Sunday but they're…read morenot open on Sundays which is when I'm typically in the area. I'm glad I finally got to try it. Price is a bit high for the options you get, $30 for all you can eat dinner menu, extra $10 to include the premium roll options. We did not do that and instead ordered mostly appetizers and 2 rolls, the Zesty Roll and a roll that had tuna, avocado and cream cheese. Both were good but the zesty roll was really delicious! It had a pop of lemon that was absolutely delightful. I was worried it would be spicy but it wasn't. Everything came together perfectly with this roll. I would definitely get it again! The appetizers we ordered were the seaweed salad, cucumber salad, and house salad which were all great and flavorful. The Miso soup was a little bit bland and lukewarm. The pot stickers were a little bit overdone. I found myself wanting a little bit of rice with it but that's personal preference. Overall I would give this place four stars but I would have rated it higher if they included nigiri options on the all you can eat. $30 not including nigiri I think is too expensive. I was sad that there was nobody inside. We basically had the whole place to ourselves, and I would love to see this place survive because the staff were so kind and lovely, very warm and attentive. If they added more appetizer options and nigiri to the menu I would go back at the $30 price point but probably not at the 40. I love that they didn't overdo rice on their rolls. I would give food quality four stars, staff five stars, overall value for the cost based on the diversity of options average but that can be improved if they add more selections to the menu.

Ended up placing a pretty big order and for the quality of food I'd have to say it was great value. Ended I ended up getting a beef bulgogi bento which came with 2 pieces of gyoza and California roll. Beef bulgogi had great flavor and good quality meat. There have been some places I've gone to that have horrible quality meat which end up having to toss out pieces due to being unchewable. Only thing was the CA roll pieces were really thin, almost like it was a typical 1 piece slice into half to count at "two." Also ordered deep fried gyoza for the kids, which they loved. We also got a beef udon which was good. Wifey ended up ordering a dragon roll which was good as well. Also got a couple bowls, salmon and beef bulgogi, which everyone also enjoyed. Overall a great little place when you need something quick to pick up. Variety of menu was great because it had a little something for everyone in the fam when you're wanting a mix of Korean and Japanese food. Service was quick considering how big of an order we made.

They really liked it but said the PRICES WERE TOO HIGH. So I drove the Group to a placed on the west side with the same quality but was more reasonable. 3rd Visit: I was treating two TWEENS by taking them some place where they could have fun spending their own money. While the two of them were chatting at the register, one of the tweens told the other she wanted something because it sounded good. The manager or team member said "you want that?", the tween said "yea". The manager/team member started making it. The two tweens came back a few minutes later with their real order. the manager or team member presented them with A BILL FOR THREE DRINKS. I informed her this is how the children talk, they just were talking and that wasn't their order. She refused to take it off the bill and forced children to choose paying the whole thing or walking out. I wasn't going to stand for it but the other tween (not the one who was taking about it originally) insisted they'd buy both their drink and the unwanted drink anyway (to try something new) even though they didn't want it. Not my kid and their parent was okay with it so whatever I guess. I didn't say anything bad but the first tween who went through the process of thinking out loud, watching the whole ordeal and how their friend handled the situation felt it was fine but also the shop manager/team member was rude and the other employees there were compliant with this poor behavior and doesn't want to go back. I never went back.
