I've been coming here for 2 or more years and I have never been disappointed. I get pedicures only and have never had to wait longer than 15 min (maybe) and I never make an appointment. When they took over the spa there were lots of bad reviews so they had to build up their reputation and they really have. I came here to get gel polish on my toenails & fingernails. After she painted my nails some gel polish was on my skin & was clumping on the edges. While she painted my toes I attempted to get the polish off cuticles. She trimmed the cuticle. The polish was dry. A week later every single nail the polish peeled off in one piece. My toenail polish did not peel. I put the polish that peeled into a Baggie & took them in asking for a refund. The manager said they would not refund my money, they would only give me credit by doing my nails again today. Why would I want them to do my nails? I refused & argued with the manger for 20 minutes. He said its my fault because I didn't get a manicure first to clean my nail bed & cuticle. He said there is no way the polish would peel off like that in a week. Another customer came in & he finally decided to give me $15 back. He got the cash out of the drawer & said "you don't come back again - we don't do nail for you". LOL. Well OK. Sounds good. I was charged $35 for gel toes & fingers & paid a $10 tip & he gives me $15 in return, & blames me instead of apologizing! The gel polish did not peel from my toes - and I didn't get them manicured so his argument doesn't stand that the cause was a lack of manicure! It was horrible service & poor customer service it is too. I won't come back & I don't recommend them. Go elsewhere for gel polish. read more

I went to have a pedicure done today, I did not have an appointment and also only waited a few minutes. Kim did my pedicure, I think she did a great job. She massaged each of my legs for at least 5 minutes which felt amazing! The pedicure was $20, I didn't get anything fancy just a solid color. We didn't talk much, which is ok with me I mostly just sat back and relaxed. The place was very clean. She opened a sealed package of tools which had been autoclaved and sanitized. I was given a bottle of water.l I would definitely go the Chic nails again! Other than the obvious language barrier, the service was good, and Kim did a great job and the prices are great! read more

Horrible! is one word i would use to desribe this place. Very Unfriendly and horrible service. I Have given this place 3 chances! The first time the lady said she didnt know how to do nails and passed me to a different person ( trust me im not a total b word i said no problem dont want a person who doesnt know how to do nails doing my nails of course definitely was not mad about that ). Then the lady she passed me off to ended messing up my nail polish and that is when i got mad and just left. Why have a nail salon full of people who DONT know how to do nails. The Second time i went with a friend and they refused to do our nails an hour before they closed becuase they were "too busy"( with about only 4 people in the salon) i guess this place really does not want to make money. The third time i needed my nails done desperatley. So even though they had given me horrible service TWICE before i went in again hoping they would at least be decent enough. Then as soon as i walk in everyone looked up and then looked back down. Finally the guy greeting me and said what do i want done. The least you could have done is said hello! Then i said just polish over my nails. He got the lady who got the polish and just rushed over my nails. i didnt even let them dry before i got up and asked to pay. Then when i handed the lady my card she said, "you dont have cash its only 6 dollars". If i had the cash i would have handed it to you that is about the rudest thing i have had anyone say to me. Just moved to the area and was looking for a new go to place for my Spa Pedecures. I came to Chic Nails on a week night about 30 minutes before they were supposed to close. The lady who did my spa pedicure must have massaged my feet and calves for about 15 minutes it was great. The color on my toe nails didn't even chip for about 3 weeks! Also the prices are great! Staff is always friendly and willing to work with you. Only downside is when they are busy, they tend to over book and sometimes you end up waiting even if you call ahead. This place does not disappoint. It is a typical family owned shop, but with a lot of special touches most nail salons lack. Pedicures include nice spa service- including long foot/leg massage. They use lotions, warm oil and hot towels. They make sure you are comfortable and have magazines and bottled water. They use a fresh lime on your nails too. The prices are good too. I came here to have my nails done for a wedding I was in. I had been coming to this same salon for 3 years, they knew me and I knew them. Since I had to get a certain color for the wedding I didn't want gels I just wanted a regular manicure. The girl I had cut all of my nails crooked and when asked to be fixed she just started yelling to one of the other employees, then it continued to get worse. They were all bubbly and goopy so I asked her to fix a couple of them and she told me no that they would dry and look fine. Well I paid and left and came back a couple hours later to get them redone because they had not dried fine and the man yelled and me and told me I messed them up on purpose because I was mad. They used to be good, and then went to shit. I got an infection from a manicure and the girl butchered my toe on a pedicure and was attacking me with disgusting things she kept touching my skin with! Thank god I didn't get staff! Also, they kept answering their cell phones during the pedicure! I'm in the spa biz and that is down right unsanitary and unprofessional. I love that they give each client a bottle of water and the ladies are all very nice. They are decently priced and located in an area with other restaurants and a Pilates studio. However, I could hear the Pilates class going on next door and it was a bit distracting. They have a decent selection of colors. I had a regular mani and pedi, but the mani wasn't very good. Lady who did my pedicure was very thorough which was awesome. They have a good line of nail polishes to select from (a lot of OPI polishes). The only down side is there was no UV light to help nails dry. But for $20 is was great. read more

We went to chic nails for three pedicures for my daughters b-day. We were all so happy with the treatment they gave us. The salon was spotless, with nice music and bottled water. My Mom and I just got manicures done and had a very enjoyable experience. Both ladies doing our nails were very sweet. The place smells of incense that reminded of us of our travels in Bali and it is refreshing to see their little touches of culture scattered throughout the salon. I went on a Friday afternoon and I got Nancy which is one of the more experienced women there. She spent a good amount of time with my massage and was very diligent on my cuticles. Literally appalled. I NEVER write negative reviews because I am in the industry of customer service and understand that things happen! However, the customer service at this place was AWFUL! I have been coming to the salon for a couple months now. There is a nail tech there who is AWESOME. Seriously, she is amazing. I wish I would be able to go back just for her, but the owner does not deserve my business. I made an appointment yesterday for 2pm with my nail tech. I arrive and she is doing a pedicure so the owner starts the removal of my gel polish. He begins complaining about people who make appointments and don't show up for them (fair complaint, that's so disrespectful!). However this conversation ends up with a comical twist as apparently HE can't keep appointments either. A walk-in customer asks for a pedicure and gel manicure and gets sat at the pedicure chair first. The owner send my nail tech to begin her pedicure and sends someone else to continue on me. ???? This nail tech was the worst!! She filed my nail bed when there was no polish on it, filed my nails all uneven and when she began to clean my cuticles she kept clipping and pulling at my skin. Ouch! Confused as to why she was working on me and not who I made an appointment with, I asked. The tech working on me legitimately flipped out "you want her to do it??? You wait!" What??? First of all, I made an APPOINTMENT with her, yes I want her, and why should I wait and not to mention, all I was doing was asking why? So I calmly responded "I am sure you'll do a good job I'm just curious as to why she is not doing my nails?" She then starts to blatantly talk about me to my nail tech and the owner in Vietnamese. Everyone who has been to a nail salon knows how uncomfortable they feel when the techs so clearly are talking about you in a language you don't understand. The tech then snaps at me, "okay you move and you wait", grabbed my things and pointed to another table. An hour after my appointment time, my nail tech finally began on my nails. She's amazing, seriously such a shame I won't be going back. She saw I needed a pedicure and we decided I'd come back today at 2pm for a pedicure with her. When I got there at 2:05 the owner snaps at me, doesn't even greet me, and tells me my tech already has someone. He says that I can wait 30 minutes if I want her to do it. Again... What???? Why? I had an appointment. You make me wait an hour the first day and then threaten me with 30+ minutes on the second day IN A ROW that I am coming to you with business. This owner needs a reality check! Walk-ins would come in and he'd be so rude to them! I have never heard someone tell people they were too busy for them in such a demeaning way, like he's too good for their business. Worst part for you Chic Nails? I work in Arcadia and people are constantly asking me for advice on things locally, and I'll be SURE to tell them to avoid your salon. I will happily go out of my way to inform them about your disrespect and inability to keep appointments. What was specifically awful about this owner is that after he could so openly complain about other customers, he couldn't even apologize for the mishap on he first day and having me wait an hour and then giving me a horrible attitude when I arrived for my second appointment like it was somehow my fault. Customer isn't always right but learning to put yourself in the customers shoes is critical to running a business based around customer service. It is important to be nice!!! This place deserves negative stars after what happened last night. I come to this nail salon usually every week and half to two weeks for a gel manicure. I came this Monday and got my normal gel mani, on one of my nails she could tell she messed up because she was trying to file the side where she had put too much gel. She also put 3 coats of the polish and 2 coats of the top coat so they were already very thick. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and left. Yesterday (Thursday) they all started lifting up and peeling off. I went in that night and the man ( I believe he is the manager) what happened and that I just wanted to get them re-done. He immediately was on the defense saying that is not possible and that I peeled them off and telling me no. Finally they had someone redo my nails. After sitting there for a bit the lady who originally did my nails came out and in front of the whole salon which was pretty full she started yelling saying I "ripped my nails off because I didn't like the color" and that "she has been doing nails for 5 years" First off, I got the same exact color and second off that is so rude and unprofessional to yell and to attempt to call out a customer who comes in twice a month. I guess that is what you get when you come to cheap places like this! I'd rather pay $5 more at a more professional place then be treated like I was. This review is specifically for Kathy, my gel nail manicurist from heaven. I'm not gonna lie, I love that she is OCD about making my nails look perfect. I don't have the patience to do my nails a fraction as well. Halfway through I say "f*** it" and go off doing something else, smearing and smudging freshly painted toesies on the carpet. Kathy is friendly, although not overly chatty, mainly because she is completely focused. As a bonus, she massages the arms and hands, making my head lull around like a rag doll. I came in for a mani and pedi and was told they didn't have time for both because of appts. There was no one waiting and one employee was sitting with her iPad! The manager or owner was not friendly or helpful. I will not be back. Understaffed. There are 5 manicure spots and 8 pedicure spots and only 4 working employees! Since my last review was flagged I'm writing another. If I could this place lower than a one I would, however I can't! The other comments are a load B.S giving them 5 stars!!! They have rude employees (horrible customer service) and they only have one employee that knows how to do acrylic nails! I've been there one three separate occasions giving the them the benefit of the doubt. First time was with a co-worker for a Christmas this past Christmas and the guy at the front chair stopped us at the door a hour before closing saying they're not accepting anymore customers because they're full! Second time was by myself during my lunch break. I printed out several times of simple nail designs and the woman did not know how to either one. Like seriously if you can't draw a heart or a cross on nails then you shouldn't be doing nails. Last time thinking they had other employees during a different time that could do nails I went before work last Friday. Not only did they not have any employees working that day that knew how to do acrylic nails when I just gave up and asked for my regular nails to be done the woman did not know how to designs! I'm a simple gal and do not expect a celebrity designing company but if you can't do the simplest nails then you shouldn't be in business! So with all being said if you're in the valley and would like your nails done correctly and with good customer service avoid this place at all times.....Seriously!!!!!!
