I have natural nails and they are long. I stopped into this nail salon to see if they could fix a nail that i had torn down into the quik. As soon as i walked in, a guy sitting by the door told me very abruptly and kind of rudely said ..."We don't to fake nails - only polish!" I said back to him, well i don't have "fake nails", these are my natural nails. He kept repeating back to me - we don't to fake nails - only polish!! I didn't feel like trying to explain to the guy what i needed (a gel manicure) and he had a bad attitude anyway. The first thing that I noticed was that the place is a bit small and outdated!!! The staff were all nice and Welcoming though. The lady who did my nails was friendly and made sure that I liked my toe polish after each toe, which was very considerate of her. I noticed that they didn't have a whole lot to choose from, as far as, colors but I'm a French mani chick so for me, it wasn't a huge deal. I support small businesses, as much as, possible even if I only go once at a location! There's plenty of parking and it was easy to find as I was driving by and decided to stop since it didn't appear too busy. I wouldn't return, only because the outdated facility was uncomfortable for my liking, she used tissue paper in between my toes instead of the toe cushion dividers and for the price, I don't think she used gel on my toes, in which, I was shock but honestly, I assumed it came with the price paid. They were so nice that, I felt bad to even ask or to complain and my nail tech was aiming to please me so badly that, I just let it go. I had called prior to visiting for availability and they were able to get me in right away. I was pleased about that. However, when I arrived I wasn't welcomed very comfortably and also felt like they were talking about me the whole time. I felt uncomfortable during a time that was supposed to be relaxing. It had been many months since I had a chance to get a pedicure and was excited to try a new place. I didn't receive a massage or anything during my pedicure. No back massage on the spa chair. I felt as if the rushed my pedicure. I also asked for my finger nails to be painted and they didn't seem to be happy to be doing that. I would not recommend this and will not be back. read more

The second time I went in the they gave me a male artist by the name of "One"who proceeded to butcher me to the point where I had to insist on somebody else taking over... And of course, everybody started speaking in a different language, and I was fully aware that they were talking about me, which was super embarrassing given the fact that I walked out of there was bleeding toes . Small shop with big hearts and very meticulous with my nails . It's those little gestures of remembrances that matter to me. They are not stingy with the quality. They even give a bottle of water to every client plus if you have guests waiting for you (without services being done); they will give them a bottle of water too. Very clean conscious & even saw them do additional thorough overnight soak of foot bowls I was told when I questioned them. It was when I was there at closing after I saw them do their usual cleaning after clients. She (Kathy) remembers I like them slightly square-ish, short & knows I always check my finished nails , before the polish, on my face to make sure they are no sharp edges (sometimes she reminds me when I'm spacey haha). I can't be scratching my clients lol. Also they were the sweetest when I finally came in after I had spiral fractured my ankle & had to come in on a knee scooter. Normally, I would get up to wash my hands at the sink before the polish but she purposely brought a bowl of water to wash my hands at the station until I healed enough to walk w/o scooter. And once I could walk on it again; first pedicure was very tender but she was really careful & caring. Even years later when I get my pedicure; that right ankle sometimes will get achy, she knows to remote chair back further so it's extended out not cramped in close to bowl. All of them are very sweet & when my cab took forever one day; one of them took me back to work so I wouldn't be late and wouldn't take money I would've gave the cab. I visited the salon without an appointment and they saw me right in. Everyone was doing a great job of wearing their masks, social distancing, and keeping the stations sanitized. The nail tech was amazing! She was so good and made certain I liked how she cleaned, clipped, and filed my toenails. She massaged my legs with the sugar scrub, moisturized them with lotion, topping it off with a twist of lime. Happy feet!! I should've taken a before pic because my poor feet were neglected for over a month, but my polish (which was by them) was still all on point with no chips! I started going to Chic a few months ago after another salon in the area was just way too busy all the time. I enjoy how relaxed and low key this nail spa is. I love that they are consistent - taking 30 minutes every time and they always give me limes before they polish and hot towels! Definitely not expected in a basic pedi!! I don't go to anyone in particular, but I've had pretty much everyone do my pedi or mani before, and they've all been great. They don't have a lot of staff, so if you are going during peak hours on a weekend or have a larger party I would call ahead and make an appointment. Mike, the owner, works harder than anybody I've ever seen to make sure the phone and door are promptly answered and everyone is welcomed to his shop. While I was getting my manicure (Nicki) did a fantastic job she took her time asked if there was anything I would like to change was extremely friendly and did a great job! This was my first time here. I am usually a Ken's customer but they have become so busy that I wanted to try and find somewhere where I am not competing for elbow space. Don't get my wrong, I love Ken's but I was in the mood for some deep relaxation. I came here around 9am and it was busy but not packed. I had to wait 5 minutes for someone else to be done, so that didn't bother me. As far as general pedi's go, this place was pretty standard but the difference is that even when they have people waiting, they take their time and focus on you - the current paying customer. Went back yesterday since my other nail salon was an hour wait. I got the older lady that painted my nails last time. She was great! However, my friend had the young women that start my nails during my last visit, and hers were so bad she had to repaint them when she got home. This place very much depends who you get, the prices are good, but the young girls seem too inexperienced. Need to request one of the adults or the gentleman that appears to be the owner. Prices are spot on, mani and pedi with callus remover was $40, and they offer gel. After scouring Yelp reviews for a new nail place in my area in order to get a last minute mani/pedi before my vacation, I found this place. Great location in the plaza right by Wildflower bread and Nothing Bundt Cakes with ample parking - although the spots right in front are all "15 min Parking" spots, so beware of that. Arrived for my appointment at 4:30pm and realized the place was empty - seems like a weekday in the afternoon would be a good time to stop in. The place did fill up by 5pm, but was never crowded and no one was asked to wait longer than 10 minutes or so as walk-ins which is nice. Everyone was professional and the girl that was taking care of me was really nice and friendly but also focused and doing a great job. She gave me a pedi and then talked me into a quick mani as well (I have no nails, but needed some cuticle help) and I'm glad I went for both. Was done in under an hour and have a great looking pair of feet to show off in Cali this weekend. I'll be back for sure, only $40 for sugar, callus remover on the pedi plus a manicure. I have been here once to get a gel manicure and was pleasantly surprised at their care and attention to detail. They sat me down right away and offered me a drink and seat. I had one of the male manicurists and brought in a picture to replicate. He was very good at picking out the right color and paying close attention to what I wanted. He was able to replicate almost the exact picture that I brought in (very impressive!). He also was much friendlier than what I was used to! If I really had to be nit picky my only complaint would have been the the shape of the nail wasn't my favorite and the extra filling was somewhat irritating (although I am more sensitive than most, I would expect). The prices are fair and they bring out new wrapped tools so you know they have high standards for cleanliness! I'm sure I will be back soon! read more

I'm very pleased with this place up until now. The pedicures are good, clean and affordable. They definitely take their time with your feet. If i request something I get it, they're always checking to make sure I like it. Color selection is good, massage chairs are new and I've only had to wait once. I've gotten gel nails and acrylics at this point and both of those went well too. Definitely took their time to give me what I asked for. I even came back the next day because of a scuff and they fixed it right away no charge :) The only thing I don't like is that when people come and their busy, they don't offer to have people wait, they tell them to come back later... I have been on the search for a good nail salon for some time now and this is NOT the place. I get gel manicures every two weeks like clock work and every two weeks I am going somewhere new. I don't like when they use Acetone to soak off the old gel polish, it it extremely bad for your nails, and I'm not even sure what the half cut lime rubbed on my nails was for. I had a friend in town and wanted to have a girls pedicure day. I was looking for something near her hotel and decided to try Chic Nails. It was the worst pedicure experience I have ever had. When my pedicure was done I had a jagged uneven toenail. I asked the gentleman doing my pedicure to fix it and all he did was paint the skin on my toe instead of filing it down. There was nail poilish all over the skin around my toenails. I asked him to clean it up and he used a brush real quick, which accomplished nothing. I pointed out the spots that looked really bad and he called another girl over to look and she wiped up a couple spots of polish, then put on my flip flops. When she put on my flip flops the cotton between my toes got stuck to my pinkie toe polish. I left there with hot pink nail polish all over my feet, pools of polish in my cuticles and a cotton ball stuck in the polish of my pinkie toenail. I would advise anyone against going here. I have had many pedicures at strip mall nail places and none have ever sent me out the door with my feet looking worse than they did when I left Chic Nails. Today I went in to get a gel manicure, like I have multiple times before at this location. my usual choice is closed on Mondays and I needed to tend to my nails before I headed on a trip! 25 dollars for a gel manicure you can't go wrong right? Oh boy was a wrong.. So very wrong! I am usually satisfied by the sub par manicure I receive but today was a disaster. I have never had such a painful manicure. Not only did she dig at my cuticles until raw skin was exposed a new lady had to finish my manicure because the paint looked terrible. And I requested it to be fixed! Meanwhile she poured acetone on my exposed skin to get the initial paint off of my nail! In which this has left my skin so dry that my hands are peeling!!! After being there for over an hour and a half for just a gel manicure I was so dissatisfied that I skipped half of the manicure and was still charged full price!!! Amazing... Never will I be going back to this place and if you're looking for a clean efficient manicure look elsewhere! read more
