Salt Salt & Peppered Shrimp (shell on)

Our go to spot for their salt and pepper calamari! We try to stop by whenever we're in the Bay and get a large order to go. We prefer this location to their Milpitas location. The owner and staff are so kind and they put a lot of care into the food! Delicious food for an affordable price.

Beef Chow Fun

This is a small restaurant in the neighborhood. The look of the restaurant is very ordinary but the favor is great. I tried the beef fried fun. It is flavorful with tender and fresh beef. The portion is big. As a family-run business, the service is warm and quick.

Spicy beef chow fun and orange chicken
Leslie N.

been passing by this place for almost a year and decided it was time to go try it. It's your typical Chinese take out with the classic menu items. Today we ordered a beef chow fun spicy and an orange chicken entree with it. The spiciness of the beef chow fun was spicy and Smokey. It did need a bit more soy sauce to have a bit more saltiness. The orange chicken was lacking in crunch due to it probably being soggy from the closed container. Other than that, the sauce of the orange chicken is very light and I personally liked how it was not drenched in straight up sauce. If there was a party, I would definitely come back and order the party trays.

With all of the great food Chef Ps decided to add a claw machine to entertain! Only $1/per play! Fun!!

They're pretty much very average. Their orange chicken in my opinion has too much breading, but the flavor is nice.

On the HANGRY, we stumbled into this restaurant. These are the kindest servers. They had great…read morerecommendations, were accommodating, and showed lovely empathy for a solo adult with two cranky 8 year olds. The girls devoured the garlic noodles. Not a single strand left! That's unusual for my girls and I was so happy they ate! I put away the dumplings & green beans. There were plenty leftovers for the next day lunch. The food was a touch salty. However, not enough to be deterred from going back. Small and yet spacious place. The 4 stars is simply because my go to dumpling place cannot be beat. Altho I'd rather eat here for the wonderful servers & ambiance compared to dingy Dumpling Capitol. We were stuffed and not able to indulge in the dessert dumplings. The ube & chocolate combo sounds fantastic. I will make it a point to save room the next time we hit up San Pedro square and sap center!

The name does not live up to the hype because they were not serious about customer satisfaction…read morefrom my experience. If you're going to be paying $60-$70 for two people, you would at least expect your food not to be burnt and the staff not be rude! I have been looking forward to going to this place for two years, it was a birthday dinner and I was so disappointed by my experience. I understand that it's downtown San Jose and we came in the evening, so maybe that's just how closing staff is. First off when we were seated, I asked to be moved to a more comfortable's table because the chairs were really uncomfortable for me. The staff seemed irritated and said "I guess" which was the first red flag because it's nerve-racking enough to ask for a special request and to be met with an unprofessional answer like that was disheartening. Secondly, two orders of dumplings came out burnt, which was seriously disappointing. We could barely eat them. We didn't end up finishing them. I brought this up to staff. He told me they weren't burnt and that's just how they are. I know the difference between burnt and browned and these were definitely burnt hard on the bottom and inedible. He begrudgingly told me well "I'm sorry but you'd still would have to pay for another order". I don't think that's fair at all so I said "it's fine were ok" I don't wanna give this company any more of my money anyway if this is how they treat their customers. Lastly, once we were done with our food and paid the check, the man came back to our table and asked us if there was anything he could do for us and how if we enjoyed our meal this felt like a slap in the face after everything I've already asked of him that he refused and denied and being met with a disingenuous offer just felt petty. All in all, I wouldn't go here if you're looking for food that is not burnt Service that is helpful and hospitable. Andexperience that is anything above fast casual dining.

Family made a reservation and sat at just a normal table but I shortly requested a table with a Lazy Susan. Wanted to make the experience more fun for my family. Honey Walnut shrimp was okay, didn't like the sauce on it too much. Fried rice and egg rolls were good. I would recommend

Usually you might remember the experience, an entree, but the name will elude you. Home Eat is a memorable name, and while it isn't a phrase that we might use often, it feels like a perfect encapsulation of the feeling of eating here, even if I've never eaten like this in my home or in any. Known for the chicken wings, yes, but try more. You may eat like a king or queen with just a few orders, and I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be the best Chinese cuisine I've ever sampled. Solid Cantonese comfort food tonight. We ordered family-style and every dish delivered…read more The salt and pepper fish fillet was the table favorite -- puffy, golden batter that stayed crisp, tender fish inside, finished with fried garlic and scallions. Not greasy at all, which is where a lot of places lose me. The BBQ combo platter (crispy roast pork +roast duck) is the other must-order. The siu yuk skin had that proper shattering crunch with juicy meat underneath, and the roast duck was silky with lightly crispy skin. Both dipping sauces on point. The clay pot chicken came out bubbling on its warmer, with red onion and scallion in a savory, slightly sweet glaze with salted meat -- great over rice. And the string beans with pork cheek had real wok hei, blistered beans with caramelized edges, not steamed-and-sauced like the lazy version. Portions are generous, everything came out hot, and this is exactly the kind of cooking that tastes like a family kitchen doing it right. Would come back for the fish fillet and the roast pork alone. They served sweet bean soup after dinner. Service was quick and ambiance is bright and causal.

Not the same Mayflower that I went to growing up but this place did NOT disappoint…read more We were in the mood for dim sum on the way to the T&T grocery store opening and yelp brought us here. We walked in right at opening to a completely empty dining room. Instead of leaving, we browsed the menu and ordered XLB, pot stickers, jelly fish, and pea sprouts (my personal fav) so glad we didn't leave! The XLB are a nice size, with each precious dumpling cradled in its own foil wrapper for maximum soup retention. The potstickers were full of flavor, packed with protein, delicately wrapped, and had the crispiest, golden bottoms! Jelly fish was fresh and the pea sprouts were a hit! The poor owner answering the phones made sure (in all languages) to inform folks calling in that there were a different May Flower than the other place-felt terrible for her but also understood the importance of differentiating right up front. I can only imagine the number of misorders they have probably dealt with. By the time we were done, the dining room was filled with a mix of what seemed like regulars, locals, large groups of families, small groups of friends... this feels like we stumbled upon a tiny hole in the wall restaurant where everyone who has been before just knows the quality and taste they are going to be getting! Highly recommend you check this place out for a dine in or take out order!
