Opening today this fast food with great looking deserts is new to the area. As you walk in you are greeted and with only 2 registers up front you place your order and you get a pager! Yes a pager ! Well my order took almost 10 minutes to come but I was not upset because my cheeseburger was hot and juicy and my onion ring were hot and crunchy not dried out. As I headed to the condiment bar I notice a hostess asking customers if they would like to try the fries she was offering. My cheeseburger had to have my favs on it. Spicy mayo,banana peppers, some lettuce and of course, jalapeños. Seating is medium but if a school bus pulled up they might have to get it to go. About 3 time I was offered to have my fountain drunk refilled or topped off which is really great for when you have small kids and you can't move around much. Offered 2 times to sample the French fries. Very polite hostesses and cashiers but didn't see a manager on the front counter area. Great hot food, good service and parking is small but lot is shared with other businesses but you can park in the back of building. Will come back next to try out desert menu real soon. I got the classic burger. My wife got the mushroom swiss burger. We both got fries & a drink. Bill was $21 & change. Burgers were okay, nothing special, & were extremely thin (~1/4 inch). Fries were good & not greasy. Sonic has better burgers & is less expensive. The only condiment on the tables is salt. You dress your own burger at a counter that quickly becomes overcrowded. Arrangement of items is awkward with mayo, ketchup, sauces at end of line after lettuce, tomato, etc. Not a good value for dollars spent. Won't be back. read more

The toppings bar was meager. I expected more. Five guys has better burgers. Expensive for what you get. Go for the custard, leave the burgers there. No lids for drinks or for ice cream to go. This was the first time visiting Bobby's. It recently opened and I decided to give it a try. I absolutely loved it! The Burger was made well. I got onion rings instead of fries and this was a great choice. Everything was fresh and the manager gave me a military discount. All of the sides and the drinks there upgraded my thoughts of this being just a another "fast food" spot. I can't wait to return! read more

Ordered a Swiss and mushroom burger, to my surprise I received a bun, over cooked frozen patty, and a dozen mushrooms. I knew Bobby's is a build your own toppings place but I've never heard of a Swiss and mushroom burger not coming with the mushroom gravy. My wife's burger (blue cheese one) was also over cooked. Then we both got cold fries to make matters worse. Other reviews said the staff was nice....if they talked to you. I had to disturb one employee will he was surfing on his phone. I actually had to raise my voice to get his attention. If I'm gonna spend $23 for burgers, I'm going to give guys or Red Robin. Bobby's is in the league of the Golden Arches franchise. This place was great!! We stopped in because I saw it was hot and new. It didn't disappoint! It kinda reminded me of Fuddruckers but better! There were different size tables and seating inside and they have a nice size deck outside with about four tables that seated about four. They offered beef, turkey or veggie burgers and you get to put whatever you like on your sandwich. They have several styles of lettuce, peppers, pickles and onions to choose from along with tomatoes, sauces, etc. I ordered the gal fry/half onion ring side to try both and loved both! My toddler nephews split a six piece chicken tender meal that their mom described as melt in your mouth goodness, while she loved her turkey burger and her picky husband immensely enjoyed the double cheeseburger. She ordered the peach tea for she and the boys, as it was just a touch sweet. We are on the deck and while we were out there, a crew member came out with A big bowl of fries and was offering to refill our fries if we wanted more. Now I don't know if that something that they do regularly or if they just had extra fries but the gesture was very much appreciated. Better than average burgers. They have a nice small selection of burgers, sometimes simple is better, to choose from and a toppings bar for you to make it your way. There is a small selection of sauces for your burger &/or fries. How could I forget there is a rack of seasoning salts to top your fries and such. But the cherry on top is the custard and the Sunday's, man they are good. I would love to see them add a Coke Float with the custard, if course you can make one yourself too! read more

If you are ordering to go prepare to wait. I ordered two custard "concrete" desserts-salted carmel and Oreo and both were done, ready and melting before my burgers. The salted carmel concrete was full of cashews-not eatable! It was difficult to add condiments to my burgers while dragging everything else down the line. I had to ask for the cheese for my cheese fries. It was missing so they gave me a container of melted cheese -not good! The burgers were okay but not worth the money or the time. Basic cheese/hamburgers were perfect classic burgers. Liked the toasted bun and ability to customize the burger with the generous topping bar. Generous portion of slightly sweet coleslaw. This place is always packed and I understand why. The burgers are DELICIOUS! The novelty of getting to decorate your burger yourself always makes my kids happy. Speaking of happy kids their frozen custard always makes them leave with smiles on their faces. Good frozen bovine liquid is always appreciated in my family. The staff is very friendly and there is always a worker hopping around making sure tables are clean and ready for the next wave of people. I wouldn't suggest coming here on Sunday when church is getting out or you might be waiting a little longer than normal. read more

Greasy is the first word that comes to me to describe the mushroom and Swiss burger I ordered. I can at least say I tried it and won't be ordering burgers anytime soon. I only had a single and shared a side of half onion rings half fries with my husband but there was no doing the frozen custard after that because of the amount of grease in all of that. I really enjoy this place! I'm a vegetarian and they have a awesome veggie burger!!! The produce is always fresh ! The staff is friendly! The only issue I have is that I received a free single patty cheeseburger for my birthday via email , but I called ahead and asked if I was able to get the veggie burger instead , they said no. I understand things cost different prices , but if you have a vegetarian option already, wouldn't you want to make your coupons match that also? My bf ordered a cheeseburger and I ordered the chicken tenders. I got the 4 count which could have fed both of us! The chicken is huge and I got a lot of fries, a slice of toast, and cole slaw. Was really looking forward to a Cheeseburger Bobby's coming to Augusta, I had eaten at one in Alpharetta & it was delicious. I have been four times to our's & each time it got a little worse in taste. The first time the meat tasted great & looked hand made. By my last visit the meat had no real taste. Fantastic!! My wife tried a Cheeseburger Bobby's around Cartersville, GA last year and said it was amazing. I've been waiting to try one and while on a visit to Augusta, I heard of this one just opening! It was absolutely fantastic!!! I had a double bacon cheeseburger and chili cheese fries. The burger was great, chilli was great, and all of the condiments you need are on the bar at your choice! The price is fantastic as well ($13 and some change for my order with a sweet tea). I can't say anything bad about this place during my visit. So glad I was finally able to try it out and recommend it to anyone!! read more

Updating my review from previous. I'm not sure what happened and I'm giving the benefit of the doubt as much as I can. We placed an order with Door Dash, three different burgers, cheese fries, etc. Got the order and none of the burgers had their condiments we asked for. Two of the burgers only got the cheese and grilled onions and mushrooms, but not any of the Bobby sauce, mustard, mayo, pickles, lettuce, nothing. The fries were almost cold and looked different from the usual fries (change of kind of fries? Not cooked enough?). One burger was just a basic turkey burger with Swiss. Got cheddar, not Swiss like we asked. I decided not to waste any one else's time and not have the DoorDasher bring back what was missing. This was ultimately the fault of the restaurant. Some disconnect happened and I'm disappointed, I usually enjoy this place. I'm docking a star because I understand the service industry, and I'll give it another chance. But I don't think I'll be DoorDashing here in the future. read more

I'm a vegetarian and the staff is very accommodating!! I asked for the veggie burger and asked if they cook it on the same grill as the burgers. They actually have 4 separate grills for the different sourced burgers, but they were willing to clean one of the grills with no hesitation before making my burger, now that's what I call customer service!!!! Have been meaning to try this place since it opened up and finally had the opportunity to for lunch a few weeks ago. The pictures of the condiment bar were really what sold me. Having the ability to just order a plain burger and add what I want on it (7 pickles? How about 12?) is really nice. I'm also a giant fan of sauces so having multiple sauces to choose from was great, as well. I thought the condiment bar was it, but they actually have spices/seasonings that can be added to the fries which I have never seen before at a burger place. I tried the salt & vinegar and it was just okay but I'm curious to try more on my next trip. I will say on the negative side, this parking lot is atrocious. I'd recommend parking behind the building and walking around to make life easier. I'll be back to try the frozen custard and maybe the chicken tenders, although the burger itself was delicious and can be made so many different ways so it may be hard to not order that. read more

Well, close, but this place promises to offer 1 million topping combinations for their burgers. You have to admit they do have an awesome build-your-own burger bar. This place is just off Bobby Jones Expressway, near Lowe's and Planet Fitness, in Augusta, Georgia. Our party ordered the Chili Cheeseburger, the Bluecheese Burger, and the Mushroom Swiss Burger. Everyone has said they have the best Bluecheese burger. The chili cheeseburger was mouth watering and the French fries were fresh and hot. We added lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Everything was fresh. The custard and shakes are simply delicious and the fries are scrumptious! They will also, stop by your table to offer even more fries. This dive was established in Atlanta where I believe they have 10 locations, but we believe this is the first in the CSRA. Come hungry and leave happy! read more

We've been here a couple times now and I enjoy that they have a veggie burger but the past two times we've had problems with receiving our food. This time especially- we ordered and noticed when we got to the table that my boyfriend's order was incorrectly rung up (wasn't anything too far off and he's not one to cause a fuss). Our buzzer went off at an appropriate time for it being dinner time. After his order was rung up incorrectly, he received an even different order than what was printed on the receipt and he did end up sending that one back because it was a completely different burger. We waited half an hour for the correct order to come out but never did. We eventually went back up to the counter and they said they'd forgotten to make the corrected order. We have been here for almost an hour and my boyfriend just got his meal- still incorrect from it being rung up incorrectly (just with added bacon which isn't a big deal) However, they offered no consolation nor offered to comp the incorrect order or even apologize for the wait time.
