Love this Chinese food place. We usually get the Buddha's Delight, sesame chicken combo, General Tso's wings, and shrimp lo mein, to go. They always tell us it will be 15 or so minutes; sometimes it is and sometimes it's not. Either way, it's usually great. That being said, it has been better. Last time we went, the sesame chicken had General Tso sauce on it instead of sesame. Not sure if that was a mistake or if they made a change. The wait staff is friendly, but be prepared to wait if they are busy. It's worth it. read more

I tried this place several years ago BERY late at night and was not impressed. I am happy that I finally decided to try it again. Today my family and I went for dinner around 7pm and everything was truly good. Let me note I am from New York and the food here is absolutely nothing like the Chinese back home but it had a very nice clean and yummy flavor. Both of my kids enjoyed their food (honey chicken and sesame seed chicken) and my husband enjoyed his hibachi so much he didn't even touch his white sauce. I ordered the spicy garlic shrimp and it was fresh but it could have used a bit more kick and garlic flavor. Overall cute little spot. A family tradition brought me here on New Years Eve and I am glad that it did. Really, I have been living in Augusta for close to three years now and have yet to find "my Chinese food place" here. I read some of the reviews before coming (because Yelp is the thing to check before every new adventure, right?) and saw that quite a few people suggested trying the ragoons--which just so happen to be the favorite of one of my friends. So, naturally, we did. She loved them. Chinese food, is delicious pretty much across the board. It is one of those things that regardless of where you are you can find at least one place that touches on that place in your stomach that only fast food Chinese can. The thing that really makes a Chinese fast food restaurant stand out is the service. And this location has excellent service. The staff are super friendly and really good at taking phone orders. I was a little worried that the guy on the other line wasn't really getting my order but he read it out to me before letting me go and he had everything perfectly! Sure there are other Chinese food places around but the service here is second to none! I not only could understand the lady taking orders but we actually had a nice chat. They have large portions and serve the meal on nice plates with metal forks. None of that cheap plastic or styrofoam crap like other often use that are never recycled. They wait on you and bring refills and make you feel at home rather than being self serve like most places that don't really seem to care about your business. Clean, nice, and comfortable. Good food and great customer service. As I was waiting for my food another customer had ordered a to-go order, she was not satisfied with what she ordered because she got confused with what she wanted. She wanted shrimp hibachi but she ordered shrimp teriyaki. The chef came out of the kitchen and explained to her the difference between the two, then went back to the kitchen and cooked what she actually wanted. She left very happy and there was no extra charge. Now that's awesome customer service. I ordered General Tso's chicken, pork fried rice and hot and sour soup. This was an unplanned stop - and quite a surprise result. Sunny Wok was excellent and it has quickly become our go-to place for solid, fresh Chinese food. When we went in, we were a bit skeptical because there was nobody inside and it was lunch time. No worries - we had already committed! We ordered several small orders and I was nervous it wouldn't be enough for the four of us. We waited about 10 minutes as they went in the back and cooked our orders fresh. When we got home, it was still perfectly warm. To put it bluntly, the food was delicious. The portions were perfect for the four of us and when we were stuffed, there was nothing left but the containers. Four small size orders - perfect for four hungry mouths! Their prices were reasonable - about 30.00 for ample food for the four of us. I strongly recommend the sweet and sour chicken. It was delicious and we actually fought over it. The only thing I could recommend is for the management to have lunch specials every day and have an advertisement board out on their sidewalk to lure the passerby. I have tried this place a few time and it just never hits the mark for me. This will be my last time giving this place a chance as I sit here with my "shrimp Eggroll" with absolutely no shrimp in it. Ugh can't explain how disappointing that was. I tried the dumpling soup which had good flavor but says comes with mushrooms and I literally had one mushroom floating in the broth. I expected your average greasy take out chinese food place. I could not be more wrong! I walked in and said to myself "wow, i should eat here instead of taking it home." Finding great Chinese food is like finding the right woman to marry. It's not easy, but once you do, you're set. Sunny Wok is clean and what American-Chinese food should be. No sketchy mall Chinese here. It's legit local carry-out Chinese, according to my palate. I'm always impressed by the chicken lo mein, beef and broccoli, and their egg rolls. The soy sauce and duck sauce is a "help yourself" station, unlike some Chinese places that hold their condiments ransom, like it were Tamiflu in 2006. Their shrimp fried rice is also pretty good.
