I absolutely love Asian cuisine especially Teriyaki so when I stopped by Kroger while traveling east on I-20 and spotted Teriyaki Express I decided to grab some lunch! This little spot is nice and clean ( it appears to be new) and as soon I stepped through the door I received a friendly and welcoming greeting! I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl with fried rice and 15 mins later I was back in my car! Service was super fast and the price was on track with the economy. However, I feel they missed the mark with flavor. The food was just ok. I mean...I ate it but it was nothing to brag about.

General Tsos platter

Been hard to find a good Asian food spot in the area, this place definitely gets the job done with great quality and hefty portion sizes. There was a large group in front of us so I thought it would take awhile but we still got our food relatively quickly. I got the General Tsos chicken platter which was just massive, so much fried rice and the chicken was perfect, not too dry or wet like many places do. My wife got the Terriyaki steak bowl which I tried that was excellent, however it was supposed to be cooked medium and it was medium well to well but still very flavorful. The crab Rangoon a were amazing, just wish they had sauce to go with them especially at the higher end price of the appetizers. Overall a great lunch spot with a huge menu variety for any picky eater, so many things I can't wait to go back to try.

Grabbed some to go after grocery shopping Friday. Great price! This image is after I already filled my first plate (sorry). Food was great, staff was friendly and yum yum yum those pork egg rolls were great too!

I think I gained 5 pounds after eating here. The portions are enormous. We decided to give them a try based on a recommendation from a friend, and they didn't disappoint. I got the hibachi chicken and vegetables. My husband got the teriyaki chicken, and we got orange chicken, miso soup, and spring rolls for the clan. The flavor was good, and we got loads of yum yum sauce. The establishment was impressively clean, and they were quick to get out food out. I'm a fan.

6 piece wings flavored with Hot Teriyaki and side of fries

Really a hidden gem with this place. Cheap and flavorful. The chicken wings weren't as tasty as some and seemed a little over cooked. Sauce on the wings wasn't as hot as I thought it would have been. The fries were good. Had the shrimp egg roll and it was great. Only disappointed thing was it was too small for a price of $2, it was pretty worth it. Hibachi chicken with noodles was orders from buddy. He was very pleased with the lunch portion and the well cooked chicken and noodle in his dish. He also liked the regular spring roll. Definitely give this place a try. It's well worth it for the price alone. Service is always great. Lunch is always busy with takeout orders. Love this place!

Not my favorite by a long shot, but the location is convenient. I'd recommend calling ahead of time, but if you order in store, you can kill some time by walking around Kroger or one of the other close establishments. I've ordered orange or sesame chicken, mostly for my daughter. But recently, the ticket will have said choice listed, but the chicken will be very spicy. My daughter loves their chicken, but it's definitely been hit or miss these past few visits. If you want half rice/half noodles, they take away the veggies that come with it, and they'll still charge you $1. Rice isn't anything special, but my daughter enjoys the noodles. I'm also not a fan of their yum yum sauce, or any of their sauces if I'm being honest. They do offer military discount though, so there is that.

This place is a hidden gem!! So good! I am always skeptical but we decided to try it one night and now this is our go to cheat meal. The favor is amazing and the veggies are crispy not soggy. If you haven't tried it please do! Crab Rangoon is delicious and my favorite is the Teriyaki Chicken and Shrimp combo with Noodles!! My boyfriend gets the general tso, so good!!!

Straight fat on my steak.

Thought it was great when I saw they opened a hibachi place in Grovetown, I was wrong. Not only is the service terrible, but the food is bland and poorly prepared. Our steak had multiple pieces that were straight fat and gristle. Just drive a little further and go to Haikkado in Evans.

The teriyaki shrimp was good. But some of my favorite dishes on the menu were x'd out. Meaning they weren't serving them at this time. Not a good look for a new kid on the block. Hasn't been opened long at all. Customer service is excellent. I'll have to give them another try in about 6 months. They just opened. They deserve a second chance.

Delicious food, fast service, easy online ordering. Our go-to takeout for midweek dinner when we're too tired to cook.

Got the grilled chicken & steak, which was solid. The grilled chicken had a great char flavor, while the steak tasted like something you'd eat at a hibachi restaurant. The fried rice wasn't oily or dry, best part was how's the portion was. Got a side of 6 piece gyoza which was meat and vegetable filled; that was also non oily and fried just right. The atmosphere looks nice, if a tad plain. But some of the tables had to be scooted out to get into the seat and they were heavy on a granite floor so loud screeching accompanied the otherwise silent room. Fast food style service and the annoying receipt signing which fast food shouldn't have was present. Also, the toilet wouldn't flush. All over, I'm not sure it really earned the star I gave it.

Because of this I felt reasonably confident that they understood what "vegan" means and would be able to accommodate me. Well things didn't start out great as we asked our server about vegan options and they didn't seem to know what could be made vegan. We asked about the "wok favorites" on the menu (you can choose marinated tofu as an option) and were told after we ordered that the marinated tofu could not be made vegan. So about half the menu we'd been eyeing was not available for us at that point. I ordered a noodle dish with plain tofu (the only vegan protein available). I made it clear that I would like the dish to be vegan and it came out made with eggs. They remade it for me, but it just wasn't good. Wasn't good before they remade it when I took a bite and realized it had egg and wasn't good when it was remade. The noodles were way over cooked and slimy and the flavor wasn't great. Disappointed with this place in every way and would not return. And on top of everything else it's way too expensive for the quality of food.

The food still felt authentic and full of true Hawaiian flavor. Coming from a family with roots in the Big Island and Maui, I can appreciate when a place captures that genuine island-style taste and atmosphere. One thing that really stood out was how they start you off with fresh in-house made pork rinds, similar to how Mexican restaurants serve chips and salsa when you sit down. It was a unique and welcoming touch. We ordered the spicy poke, Spam musubis, and a mixed BBQ plate with two scoops of mac salad. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The mac salad especially had that classic island-style taste that's hard to find done right. The staff was friendly, the decor looked great, and the restaurant had a warm, inviting feel. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for authentic Hawaiian comfort food.

It soaked up every bit of flavor from the meats and tied the whole plate together. Simple, but done exactly right. The restaurant was busy, which speaks to how popular it is. The staff looked a little overwhelmed during the rush, and you could tell an extra set of hands would've helped. Even so, everyone remained friendly, worked hard, and never let the quality of the food slip. If you're willing to be a little patient during peak hours, you'll be rewarded with a meal that's absolutely worth the wait.
