If you plan on visiting, I highly recommend making a reservation or getting there right when they open. The restaurant is on the smaller side, and bar seating is limited, so it fills up quickly. The space is beautiful, modern, and inviting. The cocktails were well-crafted, but the food was definitely the star of the show. Every bite tasted incredibly fresh, and you can tell they put a lot of care into every dish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The quality and freshness of the food have been excellent on every visit, with each dish prepared and presented with noticeable attention to detail. The sushi, in particular, has consistently been exceptional. The service has also remained outstanding. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and attentive, and they do an excellent job of creating a comfortable dining experience without being intrusive. After multiple visits, Fukuro has continued to maintain the same high standard of food, service, and atmosphere. That level of consistency is difficult to find and deserves recognition. My friend invited me to go try Fukuro and I was super excited. We went on a weeknight and they were not super busy. Service was good the server was attentive. My friend wanted to try the sake we got the larger bottle for the table to share. It comes with a very cool dispenser which keeps the sake cold. Fukuro is the pinnacle of sushi in Augusta. We've made reservations twice coming here and there is usually availability, but we've walked in before as well with low wait times. The interior decoration is modern with dim lighting. We have ordered several dishes coming here over several months, of note the Wagyu bowl is to die for: the meat is tender and delicious, the egg is scrambled in the hot bowl in front of you, and the fried rice it comes with is very well seasoned. My personal favorite menu item. My wife always gets the sushi platter, and it is about as close to omakase quality sushi you can get in the area. The fish is very fresh and the rice is perfectly seasoned. This is the freshest fish I've tasted outside of seaside restaurants. The short rib is good, but for the price I'd rather go to a legitimate Korean restaurant for something better. The deserts are good too, my wife quite loves them, but they are small and they don't fit my palate well as they are not as sweet. Bonus points for the fact that it is a Resy restaurant, so anyone with a Platinum could come here once a quarter for an excellent meal for minimal out of pocket cost. I came here through the elder sister of this restaurant, Koi on Washington Rd of which I enjoy as well. However Fukuro is on a level that sets them above any Japanese cuisine restaurant in this area. I must admit that I'm a bit biased. I'm a sushi/sashimi only diner. I don't care for hibachi at all and Fukuro is a sushi/sashimi only restaurant. This visit we had the following: King Philly roll, the Triangle, Blue fin tuna tartare, Sweet Shrimp and the others I don't remember but check the photos. We also had their sake that is served in this really interesting vessel. Please see the video attached. Pros: I love the ambience. No clanging of spatulas from hibachi chefs and no "Happy Birthday" songs every 15 minutes. On the inside is a low-lighting and intimate setting. You can sit outside if you prefer. No paper napkins or disposable utensils - except the wooden chopsticks. The staff and owner are very friendly, attentive and seem to remember me and my family every time we attend either restaurant. I'm not a whiskey drinker but they have an entire section of top shelf whiskey available. The sushi is top-grade. IMO, this is the best place in the CSRA to get sushi/sashimi. Cons: I don't care for their house soy sauce. It has a smokey flavor to it and it tastes sweet. I'm a savory type of diner so this doesn't do it for me. Instead, I just request the regular mellow soy sauce for dipping. I wish they had filtered water. The water they serve out of their pitchers taste like tap and takes away from the wonderful, fresh taste of the sushi/sashimi they serve. Highly recommend this restaurant. It's the best in the CSRA for sushi/sashimi and a quiet atmosphere. read more

This place is awesome, we will definitely be back! I came in starving and left pleasantly full. Everything we ate was so fresh and delicious! Our server Jessica was super attentive, she explained a lot of the popular dishes and gave great descriptions that helped us decide what to get since it was our first time. She timed all of our food perfectly and offered to take pictures of us at the end of the night since it was my birthday. From the drinks to the dessert everything was excellent. To drink we had an espresso drink and a vodka fruit drink with matcha (can't remember the names right now but they were so good)! For food we had the Chutoro Carpaccio to start, Hunger Game's sushi roll, Asian Short Ribs and Matcha Tiramisu for dessert. All of this was split between my husband and myself and we were both full at the end. The vibes were nice too! Dim lighting and music playing but not too loud where you can't talk. New sushi spot in Evans. Went Saturday evening around 7pm. No reservation so was offered to sit at the bar or outside. So highly recommend making reservations on the weekend. The hostess took us to our table and placed our utensils nicely on our napkins with Lil plates and chop sticks on a fancy stand. Our waitress I think her name of Cherrie was fantastic very pleasant and accommodating. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and answered our questions confidently. Everything we ate was delicious! This was a very good restaurant for a girls night out! The sushi tasted very fresh, and the ambiance was very upscale. We definitely need more restaurants like this in Columbia county! I don't love tempura rolls, so I chose the two that didn't have tempura elements, and they were very good, but I do wish there were a few more non tempura rolls to choose from. It is expensive, so be prepared to spend $150+ a person for food and a cocktail. My biggest complaint was they cannot split appetizers on the checks, and we were not told that until they brought the check, so I got stuck paying for a $20 appetizer on my own which was a little frustrating. Overall a great date night place and I'm happy to see it here in evans. read more
