I stopped by Fukuro to try the famous Salmon Sando after my sister told me it was the best thing she'd ever tasted and she was absolutely right! If you plan on visiting, I highly recommend making a reservation or getting there right when they open. The restaurant is on the smaller side, and bar seating is limited, so it fills up quickly. The space is beautiful, modern, and inviting. The cocktails were well-crafted, but the food was definitely the star of the show. Every bite tasted incredibly fresh, and you can tell they put a lot of care into every dish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. I can already tell this will be a place I'll return to whenever I'm back in Savannah. Highly recommend! read more

WOW! Best and freshest sushi in town. I'm genuinely blown away at this amazing meal and experience. The service was amazing, we had made reservations for later but they had a table earlier that was snagged. Antonio and he's trainee were absolutely welcoming and great! We both started with some of the seasonal cocktail which were hard to choose from because so many sounded so good! The meal started with splitting the churro carpaccio which absolutely melted in your mouth! It was so light and flavorful that we knew it could only get better and did. We split 3 rolls - The triangle, star war, tuna on fire. The fish was ever so fresh and light. Each Roll was so flavorful and exceeded expectations. We can't wait to come back and try more! read more

This restaurant was spot on. The food and the service is exceptional. The rolls were delicious and each one that I had was exquisite. The truffle miso with salmon sando was phenomenal, the sauce was so good. I can't explain the taste but it'll blow your mind. I recommend every signature roll on that menu. We came in with a reservation and it steadily got busier after they open so recommended to get a reservation there! read more

Most Japanese food is an expensive experience. This place charges double the norm for basic service and basic food because it's in Evans off Williams Few/ Washington Rd. The atmosphere is clean and nice, but definitely over hyped and overpriced. read more

My daughter and I had dinner Sunday night at Fukuro and we were totally amazed with the quality of sushi, appetizers, desserts & even the drinks were phenomenal! Our server, Sandra was exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu & gave us over the top service! Bravo The restaurant is small but very welcoming with booth seating or tables. I think you can seat at the bar too. We had a nice time & the Mgr- Wendy came to our table to make sure that we were enjoying our meal. I hope this restaurant does well as it's much needed in Augusta/Evans... not your basic sushi place with rolls & miso soup BUT a Fine Dining Japanese Experience! read more

My friend invited me to go try Fukuro and I was super excited. We went on a weeknight and they were not super busy. Service was good the server was attentive. My friend wanted to try the sake we got the larger bottle for the table to share. It comes with a very cool dispenser which keeps the sake cold. They had so many sushi rolls which were fresh and delicious. I will definitely be going back to try more. read more

We have visited Fukuro multiple times, and the consistency is what continues to bring us back. The quality and freshness of the food have been excellent on every visit, with each dish prepared and presented with noticeable attention to detail. The sushi, in particular, has consistently been exceptional. The service has also remained outstanding. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and attentive, and they do an excellent job of creating a comfortable dining experience without being intrusive. After multiple visits, Fukuro has continued to maintain the same high standard of food, service, and atmosphere. That level of consistency is difficult to find and deserves recognition. It has easily become one of our favorite restaurants in the area, and we look forward to returning. read more

If Anthony Bourdain and a Japanese jazz club had a love child, it would be Fukuro Bar & Sushi. Kameron, the bartender, isn't just mixing cocktails--she's narrating a Netflix-level saga while doing it. Every pour had a plot twist. Kuno was the complimentary sidekick, like the comic relief in a sushi-themed buddy movie. Together, they could easily host Drunk History: Tokyo Edition. The sushi? INSANE. The "Turo" had me questioning my life choices up to this point. I ordered multiple turo samplers because moderation clearly isn't part of the vibe here. Every bite was like a mic drop from the ocean. The cocktails and sushi were in such perfect harmony, I'm pretty sure they eloped after I left. 10/10 -- would sell my dignity for another night at Fukuro. read more

If I closed my eyes and turned on ocean sounds, I would have thought I was at Nobu. Service 10/10 Food 10/10 Watching the Chefs skillfully make sushi at the bar 10000/10 Not sure why it took us so long to eat here, but I'm glad we finally did. We sat at the bar in front of the sushi chefs. We ordered the chefs choice nigiri plate, Star Wars roll, Tuna Gyuza, and the matcha tiramisu. Everything was phenomenal. The fish is flown in from Japan weekly, and you can tell by the freshness. Our server was knowledgeable and had no problem giving us suggestions of what to order. I will definitely be returning (in the near future). Great job on bringing an authentic restaurant to our small town of chain restaurants. read more

Super fresh! Creative combos! Beautiful presentation! I feel like I'm dining in a five star restaurant in New York City. every time I come here. The owner is super nice and will walk around to each table and ask you how you're doing and if there's anything he can do for you. That kind of attention is something you don't find too frequently in a restaurant. Highly recommend! read more

Fukuro is the pinnacle of sushi in Augusta. We've made reservations twice coming here and there is usually availability, but we've walked in before as well with low wait times. The interior decoration is modern with dim lighting. We have ordered several dishes coming here over several months, of note the Wagyu bowl is to die for: the meat is tender and delicious, the egg is scrambled in the hot bowl in front of you, and the fried rice it comes with is very well seasoned. My personal favorite menu item. My wife always gets the sushi platter, and it is about as close to omakase quality sushi you can get in the area. The fish is very fresh and the rice is perfectly seasoned. This is the freshest fish I've tasted outside of seaside restaurants. The short rib is good, but for the price I'd rather go to a legitimate Korean restaurant for something better. The deserts are good too, my wife quite loves them, but they are small and they don't fit my palate well as they are not as sweet. Bonus points for the fact that it is a Resy restaurant, so anyone with a Platinum could come here once a quarter for an excellent meal for minimal out of pocket cost. Great restaurant that we love coming back too. read more

Superb food, excellent service. Modern feel but fairly quiet ambiance. Not cheap - it can set you back more than a few dollars if you aren't paying attention. That said, you absolutely get what you pay for. This is a high-quality restaurant and in my opinion, the best of its kind in the CSRA. read more

Food is cool but from a business aspect there's like 30 seats and they give you a hassle everytime to place a to go order. I called to place a to go order... called and "pressed 2 for to go" just to be told you have to sit in the bar to order to go. Who does that. Then they don't serve tea, like huh? I mean whatever I guess but this place is over hyped because Augusta is dry asf. read more

Came here for a date night, and I cannot wait to go back. We did make reservations since it was just before Valentine's Day, no issues with booking. Our server was so sweet and helped us pick out some amazing sushi. GET THE TRUFFLE MISO, I still dream about that to this day!! Everything else was superb. Truly so excited that Augusta finally has something with such great quality and service when it comes to a sushi bar. read more

This is one of the best restaurants in Evans! The food, service, atmosphere, bar and location are nothing short of excellent! Great food, great service, great vibes. Super fresh and for a very reasonable price! 10/10 recommend.

I came here through the elder sister of this restaurant, Koi on Washington Rd of which I enjoy as well. However Fukuro is on a level that sets them above any Japanese cuisine restaurant in this area. I must admit that I'm a bit biased. I'm a sushi/sashimi only diner. I don't care for hibachi at all and Fukuro is a sushi/sashimi only restaurant. This visit we had the following: King Philly roll, the Triangle, Blue fin tuna tartare, Sweet Shrimp and the others I don't remember but check the photos. We also had their sake that is served in this really interesting vessel. Please see the video attached. Pros: I love the ambience. No clanging of spatulas from hibachi chefs and no "Happy Birthday" songs every 15 minutes. On the inside is a low-lighting and intimate setting. You can sit outside if you prefer. No paper napkins or disposable utensils - except the wooden chopsticks. The staff and owner are very friendly, attentive and seem to remember me and my family every time we attend either restaurant. I'm not a whiskey drinker but they have an entire section of top shelf whiskey available. The sushi is top-grade. IMO, this is the best place in the CSRA to get sushi/sashimi. Cons: I don't care for their house soy sauce. It has a smokey flavor to it and it tastes sweet. I'm a savory type of diner so this doesn't do it for me. Instead, I just request the regular mellow soy sauce for dipping. I wish they had filtered water. The water they serve out of their pitchers taste like tap and takes away from the wonderful, fresh taste of the sushi/sashimi they serve. Highly recommend this restaurant. It's the best in the CSRA for sushi/sashimi and a quiet atmosphere. read more

This place is awesome, we will definitely be back! I came in starving and left pleasantly full. Everything we ate was so fresh and delicious! Our server Jessica was super attentive, she explained a lot of the popular dishes and gave great descriptions that helped us decide what to get since it was our first time. She timed all of our food perfectly and offered to take pictures of us at the end of the night since it was my birthday. From the drinks to the dessert everything was excellent. To drink we had an espresso drink and a vodka fruit drink with matcha (can't remember the names right now but they were so good)! For food we had the Chutoro Carpaccio to start, Hunger Game's sushi roll, Asian Short Ribs and Matcha Tiramisu for dessert. All of this was split between my husband and myself and we were both full at the end. The vibes were nice too! Dim lighting and music playing but not too loud where you can't talk. Overall great experience. read more

Phenomenal...from the moment we arrived..we were awaiting our other couple and so us and another of our party sat at the bar. Leo was great in giving suggestions. we had Japanese whiskey and some amazing Christmas season drinks made by Leo and some pretty amazing tasting sake. presentation was clean, neat, and everything we had tasted smooth. nothing was harsh. Now...on to the food. Our server was Cierra. not only is she a foodie like myself but she knew all her items and had her suggestions. she was able to elaborate on the flavors & dishes. She was awesome. For 3 couples we order multiple appetizers. from the toro tasting to the tuna global, to the scallop carpaccio. let's start with that,so fresh and amazing,it truly melted in our mouth and the sauce was a perfect balance. The absolute freshness with all our food was something never had before in Augusta. you can taste the freshness and the quality of seafood used in the food which, brings us to the dinner portion. we had a multitude of rolls, waygu fried rice,& amazing melt in your mouth short ribs. part of our meal we did the sushi platter which came nigiri style. simply exquisite. the mix of flavors & toppings to enhance the fish was delightful. i had to be a glutton and try the dessert so, Cierra suggested the matcha tiramisu. divine and light. so I can honestly state that the meals we enjoyed tonight we exceptional and we highly recommend this restaurant. read more
