Amazing NY quality sushi in the middle of literal no-where. Japanese whiskey selection and amazing ambiance that is over and above what we expected.

Most Japanese food is an expensive experience. This place charges double the norm for basic service and basic food because it's in Evans off Williams Few/ Washington Rd. The atmosphere is clean and nice, but definitely over hyped and overpriced.

The ambience was very chic and modern service was fast Our server was very kind and helpful. The drinks and food were very creative and delicious. Will be back for sure to try other dishes! Thank you!

    Matcha Tiramisu .. incredible!

My daughter and I had dinner Sunday night at Fukuro and we were totally amazed with the quality of sushi, appetizers, desserts & even the drinks were phenomenal! Our server, Sandra was exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu & gave us over the top service! Bravo The restaurant is small but very welcoming with booth seating or tables. I think you can seat at the bar too. We had a nice time & the Mgr- Wendy came to our table to make sure that we were enjoying our meal. I hope this restaurant does well as it's much needed in Augusta/Evans... not your basic sushi place with rolls & miso soup BUT a Fine Dining Japanese Experience!

My friend invited me to go try Fukuro and I was super excited. We went on a weeknight and they were not super busy. Service was good the server was attentive. My friend wanted to try the sake we got the larger bottle for the table to share. It comes with a very cool dispenser which keeps the sake cold. They had so many sushi rolls which were fresh and delicious. I will definitely be going back to try more.

If Anthony Bourdain and a Japanese jazz club had a love child, it would be Fukuro Bar & Sushi. Kameron, the bartender, isn't just mixing cocktails--she's narrating a Netflix-level saga while doing it. Every pour had a plot twist. Kuno was the complimentary sidekick, like the comic relief in a sushi-themed buddy movie. Together, they could easily host Drunk History: Tokyo Edition. The sushi? INSANE. The "Turo" had me questioning my life choices up to this point. I ordered multiple turo samplers because moderation clearly isn't part of the vibe here. Every bite was like a mic drop from the ocean. The cocktails and sushi were in such perfect harmony, I'm pretty sure they eloped after I left. 10/10 -- would sell my dignity for another night at Fukuro.

If I closed my eyes and turned on ocean sounds, I would have thought I was at Nobu. Service 10/10 Food 10/10 Watching the Chefs skillfully make sushi at the bar 10000/10 Not sure why it took us so long to eat here, but I'm glad we finally did. We sat at the bar in front of the sushi chefs. We ordered the chefs choice nigiri plate, Star Wars roll, Tuna Gyuza, and the matcha tiramisu. Everything was phenomenal. The fish is flown in from Japan weekly, and you can tell by the freshness. Our server was knowledgeable and had no problem giving us suggestions of what to order. I will definitely be returning (in the near future). Great job on bringing an authentic restaurant to our small town of chain restaurants.

Super fresh! Creative combos! Beautiful presentation! I feel like I'm dining in a five star restaurant in New York City. every time I come here. The owner is super nice and will walk around to each table and ask you how you're doing and if there's anything he can do for you. That kind of attention is something you don't find too frequently in a restaurant. Highly recommend!

Fukuro is the pinnacle of sushi in Augusta. We've made reservations twice coming here and there is usually availability, but we've walked in before as well with low wait times. The interior decoration is modern with dim lighting. We have ordered several dishes coming here over several months, of note the Wagyu bowl is to die for: the meat is tender and delicious, the egg is scrambled in the hot bowl in front of you, and the fried rice it comes with is very well seasoned. My personal favorite menu item. My wife always gets the sushi platter, and it is about as close to omakase quality sushi you can get in the area. The fish is very fresh and the rice is perfectly seasoned. This is the freshest fish I've tasted outside of seaside restaurants. The short rib is good, but for the price I'd rather go to a legitimate Korean restaurant for something better. The deserts are good too, my wife quite loves them, but they are small and they don't fit my palate well as they are not as sweet. Bonus points for the fact that it is a Resy restaurant, so anyone with a Platinum could come here once a quarter for an excellent meal for minimal out of pocket cost. Great restaurant that we love coming back too.

Came here for a date night, and I cannot wait to go back. We did make reservations since it was just before Valentine's Day, no issues with booking. Our server was so sweet and helped us pick out some amazing sushi. GET THE TRUFFLE MISO, I still dream about that to this day!! Everything else was superb. Truly so excited that Augusta finally has something with such great quality and service when it comes to a sushi bar.

This place is an absolute 10 out of 10. The atmosphere, the food, the service is all top-tier. This is the best quality sushi we've found in Augusta. If you're looking for an elegant atmosphere, fantastic food and spirits, and a first-rate dining experience, you cannot go wrong here.

To beat the crowds I came in the day before and the place was pretty packed still for a weekend, but the wait was hardly 10 minutes. It seemed like a very hometown family style joint, with lots of families gathering and friends sharing meals together like this was the regular spot. The menu is tacked with tons of phenomenal options, had to get calamari as that's a family favorite, along with a crap spinach dip that was delicious. With this being a steakhouse, I had to get a steak and I haven't seen prime rib offered at too many places so I had to get that. All the food we worse was delicious and came out in good time despite how busy the place was. My only concern was my drink, which was a Old Fashioned and it tasted like straight bourbon. Don't get me wrong I love bourbon, but I like an old fashioned and that was just awful. The drink also had the same ice you'd put in a soda, which shows how lazy the drinks are made but I know now to stick with what they are good at which is steak.

Speaking of marinades, my center cut filet arrived as nature intended: completely unseasoned. Salt and pepper are out there, guys. They're not expensive. The cook temp was spot on - medium well, nailed it - so credit where it's due. But a perfectly cooked piece of nothing is still nothing. The grilled mushrooms and onions were... brave. I'm not sure what grill they were introduced to, but it must have been a brief and awkward meeting. Seasoning was also conspicuously absent here, and I'd bet good money those mushrooms started life in a can. They have a certain "institutional" quality that's hard to fake. Or maybe easy to fake, actually. The kids, however, were thrilled with the Sliderz - which tells you something. Either the bar is lower on the kids menu, or my children have better judgment than I gave them credit for. Reasonably priced, which is probably the nicest thing I can say. You get what you pay for - and occasionally, you get less.

We started with the Oyster "Rockefeller" and crab cake served with vinaigrette mixed greens--both were absolutely delicious and set the tone for the night. For entrées, we had the Duck Confit with succotash (corn, beans, bacon), Chicken Française, and the market fish, which was a beautifully butterflied flounder. Every single dish was cooked to perfection. Honestly, the pictures don't do the food justice--the chef clearly knows what they're doing. The cocktails were just as impressive--well-crafted and flavorful. Prices are reasonable for the quality you're getting, which makes it even better. The atmosphere is small, cozy, and super cute--perfect for a date night or a girls' night out. Customer service was top notch, and even the bathrooms were clean (which always matters!). Highly recommend checking this place out--you won't be disappointed.

It has been mentioned before that reservations are necessary even for a weekday. For Evans, that is unique. We were lucky that a table was available and that we had a good view of the interior and the kitchen. My husband is the chef in our house so he observed the kitchen staff while I, interested in ambiance, made note of the clientele and the wait staff. This is the conclusion I made. This venue looked like a great place for a first date, a drink in the evening with friends or dinner with someone special. I would not go there for a family birthday party and it is definitely an adult venue. The staff was obviously well trained for excellent service. The smiles were genuine. Our server's recital of the days' specials wasn't rushed and she answered my husband's questions. She was also was patient with my husband's suggestion for an already perfect dish. The tables were uncluttered by table clothes and condiment's. The noise level set off our smart watch's alarm but we had not problem conversing. Just one more thing. I almost never see restrooms mentioned. Winston's Tavern has clean, very clean, restrooms as befitting a very classy venue. Thank you for the experience. You will do well especially during the masters.
