We found our favorite BBQ place. It was our first time here and we came in a large group. Hailee gave us 5 start service and made sure we had everything we needed. She refilled my drink 3-4 times and made sure everything was perfect for all of us. We had the sausage and the lean cut brisket with the sweet Bbq sauce and the mustard one. Delicious. The burger is next on our list to try. It's huge and hand made with brisket! I wish I got a pic of it before it got eaten at our table. The bar looks like a great hangout as well, so this will be a great neighborhood hang out. The manager was nearby to make sure we were happy as well. We loved this attentive staff! The sides were great. We enjoyed the broccoli rice, coleslaw, green beans and collard greens. They were all delicious, the dishes come with a sample of the coleslaw and it is tasty. Smoke & Barrel located in Eva's, GA Food: My party ordered the two meats plate with brisket and sliced turkey also the two meat plate with a half rack of ribs and tri-tip. The brisket good and tasted really good, the slice turkey was moist and flavorful. The tri-tip was served still mooooing, however they place it on the grill til there was just a little pink in the middle. The half slab was delicious. BBQ in Evans, it can't be good. Well its not good it was great. We got just meats, so I can't speak to the sides. But the pulled pork was tender and moist, the brisket was smokey and pull apart tender, good pitmaster, and the dry rub ribs were delicious and tender. My wife said it was the best barbecue that she had ever had! And she is slightly portly and she is eats a lot of barbecue so she knows! The barbecue ribs were St Louis dry rubbed and were delicious. Barbecue (or more apparently written, BBQ) is the sushi of the South. Think about it; it can be fresh from the field/pen or fried up, it can be paired with just about anything under the sun, and the truth (if you're honest with yourself) is that "my last bite" is just a opportunity to catch your breath before you eat some more. That said, you bring barbecue to my attention just know I come with a fork and a bucket full of skepticism. I'm either leaving full or letting that pitmaster know they are "full of it." And so one fateful evening I made my way over to Smoke & Barrels. Now I did let my guard down just a touch, knowing that they have the same owners as Ironwood Tavern (don't even get me started on that bulgogi pizza!). But still, I came with a watchful eye. Now I'll mention this, as a neutral comment and nothing more, that you order then are seated. Aka, they don't come to the table and take your order or refill your drink. Honestly I'm indifferent on this, more so when my order came out in quite the timely manner. Per usual, I ordered some pulled pork. That's the true test of a pitmaster. I added a side of mac n cheese and fried okra. Of course I'm planning to wash it all down with some sweet tea (I took a chance on that one). As aforementioned, the order came out quickly. And with it the quick realization that I would not be exiting hungry. Quantities are sufficient (aka, you will have enough to eat-as my great grandmother would say). I could tell from the texture and coloring of the pork that a house party was about to commence in my mouth. You just have to know what a beautiful pile of tender, juicy pig meat can do to a person. Mac n cheese had some darker brown spots (aka, been in that oven!) and the okra called out with its vibrant green from beneath the brown exterior. I am not sure, but I might have set a new world record for holding my breath the longest...as I did not take a single one as I devoured everything. The only reprieve was when I paused for a refill of tea (which yes, was syrup sweet and made it look like I was wearing lip gloss). Personally right now.I am surprised that this restaurant doesn't have that many reviews. This is one of the best places in evans to get barbecue at. My first visit here was wonderful and the service was just as wonderful. I had purchased a small chop beef with Kansas style barbecue and a natty style barbecue with broccoli and rice casserole and a Mississippi mud pie. And let me tell you that was the best thing I have eaten in so long. The ambiance here was just as wonderful. If you haven't tried smoking barrels I encourage you please try it at least once. I have an allergy to beef and pork so finding a BBQ place around town that can make really good chicken has been a struggle. I ordered at the counter and got a table number. I was greeted by a server asking if we wanted alcoholic drinks. We placed an order for the table. The food was delivered quickly. The drinks took a little longer. The food was spectacular. I haven't had chicken that juicy in a long time. I didn't care for the BBQ sauce that came with the meal but it really didn't need it anyway. It's too sweet for me. The pickled onions are fantastic and even though the pickles are bread and butter, my least favorite pickle, they were also good. I ordered Mac and cheese and rice and broccoli casserole. Both were delicious. My husband ordered the turkey plate and got potato salad. I really enjoyed his potato salad but the turkey wasn't anything special. I also got a banana pudding to go and it was good. My husband ordered a transfusion and I ordered the white linen. We ended up switching because my drink was essentially a glass of gin. The drinks need a little bit of work but other than that, I'm happy to have found a new BBQ home. read more

I can't believe this pace doesn't have any reviews yet, it's DELICIOUS! It's hard to find yummy brisket around here and they hit the spot. I got the big brisket plate with two sides. I came home and made two grilled brisket sandwiches and still had meat left. My sides were potato salad and coleslaw. Both were really good. The only negative thing I have to say is the coleslaw had more onions than what I'd like but I don't like purple onions at all. Will most definitely be going back and soon! read more

My husband & I have been engaged in a BBQ battle since we met. We each have a favorite that the other hates. We can now declare an end to the 100 year CSRA BBQ Conflict. We got the pork rinds with beer cheese. They were both great, just not together. I got the natty, he got the basic, and our sides were the Mac & cheese & potato salad. Everything was phenomenal. Tried a few different sauces & those were excellent as well. Servers were friendly & attentive. Bonus, they're open on Sunday. It is a hike from NA, but even with these gas prices, we'll carpool if we have to. read more

I lived in TX for twelve years so I consider myself a brisket snob. Yall, this brisket was THE TRUTH. Juicy, flavorful, and a perfect amount of smoke flavor. Decently priced too! I also like that they make their ranch from scratch. I wasn't a fan of the Mac and cheese, but I'm very picky when it comes to Mac and cheese so I'll give them a pass. First visit to this restaurant. Arrived after the lunch crowd had left. We were promptly greeted by the manager/owner and staff. Very friendly and inviting. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. No loud music or blaring TV's and comfortable sitting. I was craving a brisket sandwich that wasn't on the menu, but they made one that was delicious. The sausage, chopped beef, and chicken were amazing. Even better was the customer service. Our waitress, Jessica, was very accommodating. The manager or owner was awesome and came out to apologize for the meat shortage and offered a discount for the next time we come back. Unfortunately, we were on our road trip from California.
