Happened to be in the area around lunchtime and saw the crowd in the parking lot. Anything with the words oyster bar in the title gets my immediate attention. It was packed. The parking lot is not paved so if you have a new or fancy car, I might would drive by. It is quite a rustic type place, think beach dive bar without the beach, but the people inside were clearly enjoying themselves. They have incredible prices for seafood and daily drink and food specials that can't be beat these days. I had the fried shrimp lunch special. They came out hot, fresh and tasty. Drinks were refreshed regularly and the server could not have been more helpful. The stuffed mushrooms were a little too heavy on the cheese for me, but I didn't come for mushrooms. Just an added note. I can eat Bbq on brown paper and roasted oysters off a tabletop. You are served on paper plates and with plastic utensils, so if that's a non negotiable, don't go here. Had Theresa as a server again. This time at the bar. The place is slammed and the kitchen is a bit overloaded but I knew that before I came inside; the parking lot is stuffed. Still, the taste is worth a little extra wait. read more

Had friends bring me the honey shrimp and fries because I am currently not able to go out to eat. The shrimp were perfect as was the sauce. My mistake for choosing the fries. I love them when I dine in but they do not travel well tasted just fine but the texture was more like limp Noodles. Next time I will choose a different side. I don't recall ever visiting this Rhinehart's, but it's not much different from the Washington Road version. I don't care much for the grunge aesthetic but the food is fantastic. Came here after not paying these guys a visit for a couple years. Was my son and I and he had the Buffalo Grilled Shrimp and Fries, and I had the Sticky Honey Glazed Fried Shrimp Feats. Ambiance is as laid back as it gets, all picnic tables inside, and out, you can also dine at the bar if you're solo. This place was packed, Friday, March Madness on the TVs and during Lent. As packed as it was our waitress Brooke M., was the real MVP. Our orders were put in timely and she kept our drinks full. She was all over and as many tables as she was responsible for we could've been the only ones. She was very attentive. Food was great, I enjoyed my shrimp, it was very tasteful and sticky. The shrimp were perfectly cooked--crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The fries were golden, well-seasoned, and the perfect complement to the meal. Everything tasted fresh, and you can tell they really care about quality. The portion size was generous, and the presentation was spot-on. On top of that, the service was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. If you're craving great seafood done right, this place is definitely worth checking out. Apparently the cook doesn't know how to grill onions for a burger. Not told until after order was delivered with raw onions instead of what was ordered. Stopped here for a lunch date on St Pattys day. We seated ourselves and were quickly treated by our server. I ordered the steak dip with fries and my wife ordered the shrimp basket with a side salad. My steak sandwich (served with au jus) was not what I expected, but was delicious! It was served on a fresh roll buttered and toasted and had the filling and consistency of a Philly cheesesteak (a really good one). The sauce wasn't the best but the sandwich didn't really need it. The shrimp basket had 7 jumbo shrimp that were perfectly battered and fried. Over all, we had a nice lunch and enjoyed the food! There are a few nuances I would improve but overall we left satisfied and would go again. 4/5 stars! read more

The food was delicious! It was my first time here and I got the catfish basket with fries and everything was came out fresh n hot and most of all tasty! I like the setting of the picnic tables in the restaurant as well. The servers are very friendly and makes sure that I left here satisfied. Most of the food is delicious, but fried! Not a good choice if you can't eat fried food. I would recommend adding some broiled and baked items to the menu. There are only a couple of H/C parking spots, need more. Parking lots needs grading and more lights. Picnic tables aren't comfortable for seniors. Very difficult to sit at them. I ordered 6 fried oysters on side. $2.25 each. It came out with 3 med oysters(a little overfried )But then 6 tiny thumbnail sizes that were way overfried. And I was just eating crunchy batter and way over cooks oysters. The server was very nice to reorder the oysters and requested larger oysters and Not over fried. I appreciated the effort. Still the oysters are tad over fried. I like a good crispy crust with moist juicy oyster in middle. The food was good until i found hair in my shrimp basket & the waitress had poor service forgetting drinks and refills. Didn't even offer a Togo drink too busy serving other customers after they came after me. Tables need to be replaced very dirty and sticky. I will not recommend coming here! read more
