I've been wanting to come here for years and when Father's Day was coming up I knew this was the perfect place to go. To beat the crowds I came in the day before and the place was pretty packed still for a weekend, but the wait was hardly 10 minutes. It seemed like a very hometown family style joint, with lots of families gathering and friends sharing meals together like this was the regular spot. The menu is tacked with tons of phenomenal options, had to get calamari as that's a family favorite, along with a crap spinach dip that was delicious. With this being a steakhouse, I had to get a steak and I haven't seen prime rib offered at too many places so I had to get that. All the food we worse was delicious and came out in good time despite how busy the place was. My only concern was my drink, which was a Old Fashioned and it tasted like straight bourbon. Don't get me wrong I love bourbon, but I like an old fashioned and that was just awful. TBonz has a certain charm - if you're into the "time capsule" aesthetic. The interior has clearly been marinating longer than anything coming out of the kitchen. Speaking of marinades, my center cut filet arrived as nature intended: completely unseasoned. Salt and pepper are out there, guys. They're not expensive. The cook temp was spot on - medium well, nailed it - so credit where it's due. But a perfectly cooked piece of nothing is still nothing. The grilled mushrooms and onions were... brave. I'm not sure what grill they were introduced to, but it must have been a brief and awkward meeting. Seasoning was also conspicuously absent here, and I'd bet good money those mushrooms started life in a can. They have a certain "institutional" quality that's hard to fake. Or maybe easy to fake, actually. The kids, however, were thrilled with the Sliderz - which tells you something. Either the bar is lower on the kids menu, or my children have better judgment than I gave them credit for. Reasonably priced, which is probably the nicest thing I can say. Great experience! Our occasional go-to establishment was a pleasure again... Kudo's to the staff, manager visiting our table and our excellent service from Raquel. Had the Seared Ahi Tuna for a starter and was perfectly seared and tasty. The Rummy Cocktail and Tropicalia IPA were on point and refreshing. They always have a good rotation on tap with different ones to try.. Angus Mushroom Swiss burger and the Ruben were amazing. We stepped in not knowing what to expect but between the peachy tea and the steak I'm not sure which I loved more. The broccoli and fresh baked bread rounded out this great meal for 19.99. On a suggestion from someone, we went here even though she said it's expensive for what it is. Gave it a try anyway and now we know to go somewhere else next time we go out. The Smokehouse burger was ordered medium and arrived well done. The BBQ sauce on it was just OK. The steak fries were hot, but they seemed to be the frozen type not freshly made. The cobb salad was sparse on the lettuce and heavy on the cheese, crunchy bacon and croutons. Once you push most of that aside, the "salad" was just OK. We ordered a slice of cheesecake with strawberry sauce for dessert. This was really good, probably the most memorable part of our celebratory lunch date. Went to dinner on 4/27/26 with five friends. Server took our drink order and delivered drinks in a few minutes. I ordered a rib-eye, med rare, but waitress brought me a prime rib. (My friend ordered the prime rib). The waitress argued with me until the other guests agreed that I ordered a prime rib. Waitress took it back and returned with a very thin, overcooked $39 rib-eye. My friend with the prime rib had to cut away half the steak as it was grizzle and fat. My other friend ordered the steak tips and had to send it back because she could not chew it. Mgr offered to take it back but we were all finished our dinner. To add further insult, my wife ordered a burger and asked for some mustard on the side and the kitchen put a teaspoon of mustard in a little black cup. They had the audacity to charge us .75cents for the teaspoon of mustard. Overall I was embarrassed because I suggested your restaurant. Overall food was poor quality cuts of meat, ill prepared and served by an overstressed waitress. For me and my wife (rib-eye & burger) it cost me $53 + tip. Awesome lunch after church. Surprisingly it wasn't as busy as I thought but I wasn't about to complain about it. It wasn't easy trying to figure out what kind of drink to have with my meal since there was so many to choose from but I settled with the Fruitland Peachtini and it was amazing along the Angus Burger with fries . We get takeout regularly from the Evans location, and it is usually pretty good. Now the last couple of times have gone downhill for different reasons. This most recent meal was pitiful. Ordered a New York strip steak that was about half the size it should be and dry as a bone, as well as a tiny baked potato. Salads had a lot of brown lettuce mixed in. Yuck. Steak prices have not gone down along with the size of the steaks, so what gives? This is not a cheap meal! I guess they have enough business that they won't notice losing us as customers. It's just really sad that Evans can't have a decent restaurant that gives you decent value for your money. read more

I guess what we like, even more than the good food and yummy Margaritas, is the excellent customer service. These folks, from the seating hostess to the servers and everyone in between are polite, caring and so welcoming. The manager gives back to the community which is worth mentioning. I hadn't been to a TBonz in while but we were doing an early dinner here before going to the theater in the new and nearby Columbia County Performing Arts Center. I had been to Washington Road location before and this one looks very similar: a bit dark and leathery. The ladies room in this location could use an upgrade. Everything was bedraggled and in need of updating. A place that's charging $25 dollars for a steak shouldn't have a ladies room that looks like one at a Circle K! We had a large party of eleven but our lovely waitress Ashley handled our orders with a great attitude and aplomb. My DD went with a Phil's Filet while I had a ribeye. We both agreed our steaks were well seasoned and cooked medium rare as requested. I had a baked potato but she chose mashed potatoes both were fine. We both had green beans which were your standard restaurant green beans. We also has a cocktail since it was happy hour. They were very tasty. The total bill was around ninety dollars including the mandatory 18% gratuity for large parties and a card processing fee of $3.00. I gave Ashley an extra $5 because she had been such a good server. I don't generally go out for steaks since I make a good one at home but TBonz makes a good steak. If you go, ask for Ashley. read more

We came in on a Friday night as a party of 11 and only had a 15-20 minute wait compared to the 90 minutes at other surrounding restaurants. The parking lot and restaurant were busy, but they had groups consistently coming and leaving. Our wait time flew by and we were seated before our 20 minutes were up. Our waitress was fabulous and handled our large party with ease! She was on top of keeping drinks filled and bringing our extra bread for everyone. Several people in our party ordered alcoholic beverages, and were satisfied with them. I ordered the half rack of ribs and shrimp. The meat was falling off the bone and melted in my mouth. My husband got the blackened chicken alfredo. He said it was really good with mild spice level and that he would order it again. Everyone in our party was highly satisfied with their food. The atmosphere was hopping with people constantly moving around, whether coming in or leaving, but didn't disturb our conversations or experience. I went here a few months ago with my mother and had a steak, baked potato and salad. My steak came out cooked, but was rancid. I could tell with one bite that something was wrong and then smell. I told the waitress about it and she sent over the assistant who took it and came back and agreed with me. She apologized and brought me another steak. The manager, Tyler got wind of it and apologized promptly and offered me a gift card to give them another try. I'm one to always give people another chance. I finally went back with a friend on Friday and ordered ribs and chicken. Unfortunately, I will never go here again! The ribs were burnt, over cooked and dry. The chicken was thin, flat and dry with bbq sauce on it. What can you do better to improve? Find people that know how to cook and cook food properly. There needs to be some kind of food quality control, such as someone to check food before it leaves the kitchen. Ate lunch here today I ordered the Chicken Fettuccine and asked if I could get that without Chicken. Was told yes, and I did however when the bill came I was charged full price. Husband got beef tips they had a weird taste maybe the marinade. We asked what seasoning the put on it was told a special marinade. They took the beef tips back and asked if he would like a potato or French fries instead. He also paid full price for a beef tip dinner that he only ate the potato. Wonderful service and delicious food! I dined here tonight with my daughter and the server was so fast and kind . The manager was very attentive and courteous, he checked on us twice during our meal, then after he let my daughter "help" him put her drawing up on the wall! Tbonz is my go to family steakhouse in Augusta, they have the BEST blue cheese wedge salads and the smothered chicken is always so tender. T-Bones Steakhouse (Evans) is a nice establishment for meals or drinks (full bar) the wife and I ordered from their "Comfort Food" menu the Pot Roast and Smothered Pork Chops, for an appetizer the Twice Fried Chicken Wings. The wait staff was friendly and attentive even during the after church rush crowd. The wings were delicious enjoyed the (not so hot) Hot Buffalo Sauce however the pot roast was dry but seasoned very nicely, the greens were bland and the green beans salty, the pork chop was very delicious the Mac & Cheese was tasty along with the loaded baked potato . We were staying overnight nearby and while searching for a place to eat, saw Tbonz suggested quite a bit. We were greeted and seated quickly, and our waitress was very nice. I ordered the tropical margarita and it was amazing. We got the cheese fries appetizer. It was decent. My husband ordered a ribeye but he was not impressed. He only ate half of it. I ordered the garlic parmesan crusted chicken because I was curious how it compared to the similar dish from Longhorn. I personally didn't like it at all. I scraped off the top in hopes of it being edible but unfortunately I still didn't finish it.. The mashed potatoes were good though. The atmosphere was nice but we just weren't impressed with the food. It almost seemed like the grill wasn't hot enough. This afternoon we decided to go to TBonz for dinner. We had not been here for years and hoped that it was better. We were greeted by several very nice young ladies and quickly escorted us to our booth. Our waitress, "Norma" came with in a few minutes to get water and other drink others. When she came back with drinks she let us know the special for the day and asked if we were ready to order. We decided to wait a few minutes. She came back about ten minutes later to take our order and also asked if we wanted bread. About another ten minutes later we had our salads and bread. The pumpernickel bread came on a warm plate and the bread was nicely warm! The butter was supper soft so it actually melted on the bread. Delicious! And a nice way to start the meals. The salads were on nicely chilled salad bowls. Jammed packed with cheese, a couple cucumbers and a couple tomatoes. Definitely worth the up charge you will have to pay since it was not one of our side choices. But we both enjoyed the salads. You will get your moneys worth in the salads as well as the taste. We received our meals shortly after. I had the "hand-selected Aged Certified Angus Beef...served with choice of two side dishes. I had the 10 oz. - $18.99  with a salad ( additional charge) and Steamed Vegetable Medley. For meat that is not a prime piece of meat, it actually had a good flavor. Definitely needed a steak knife, but it did taste good. The steamed veggies were good, nothing to brag about. I would probably get this again. My husband had the Ribs & Chicken Combo - $17.99. Half rack of our "Almost Famous" ribs with a BBQ glazed chicken breast served with coleslaw and one side. His side was seasoned fries and for an added fee he also had the side salad. His ribs were definitely fall off the bone ribs, nicely BBQ flavor. The type of ribs you could use your fingers for, but it is better to use fork, because, the meat is cooked perfectly it falls off. The ribs were also moist and just darn good. The chicken breast was another story. It was nothing but dry, difficult to chew, like chewing leather. I too had a bite and was so disappointed. And even more disappointing we left the rest on the plate. The last two items on his plate were the coleslaw. You did see the very small size of coleslaw bowl on the plate? Same size as the BBQ sauce. I could not believe that was considered a side.....the small bowl of coleslaw. The coleslaw also had a metal flavor as if they bought it from a store down the road. Definitely not homemade. But the last disappointment came with the seasoned fries. Now my husband love fries. Any type, he loves them. The seasoned fries we had tonight were soft with no crunch. They were hot, but they just need some more time to cook which is what led us to wonder if all the meal was bought from another store and heated up here. Maybe it was a bad night, but we will be back. The ribeye was good and I have my eye on the prime rib. My husband definitely wants more ribs and may try something else too. We ate lunch here today because we enjoyed the TBonz in Charleston so much. My rating has nothing to do with service or food. Our Ribeye steak and fried shrimp were awesome! Even the Thousand Island salad dressing was delicious! The problem was with the body odor of the waiter. I can't believe that a manager or coworker hasn't said/done something about this. The young man may not be aware of it but it actually made me sick to my stomach. I had to slide halfway the booth seat so I would be further away from him when he came to the table.
