Trattoria Polipo located on Walton Way Augusta, GA Food: We ordered the chicken and waffles with chicken cracklen... "oh my god" it was amazing. The waffles were delicious! Crispy on the outside soft on the inside, the sprinkle sugar and pre-poured syrup put it all together. It came with a strip of "real" thick cut bacon fried crispy... simply delicious! Service: We were greeted as soon as we walked into the establishment, warm and friendly smiles are always appreciated. Service was excellent. Ambience: Nice ambience, clean and orderly with some cool wall art.

Trattoria is an authentic Italian experience. It is not Olive Garden or Carabbas. It is authentic and local. Which is my type of place. I loved the vibes. The atmosphere is quaint and out the way. The ambiance is 5 stars. We had amazing service. The waitress was friendly everyone seemed nice. 5 stars. So why 3 (actually 3.5). I struggled with this because I would go again. I just wanted to make an honest review. This restaurant is not for everyone. The cost and value to most won't match. I literally got 1 alcoholic beverage and 1 entree it was $50 for that. To me for ambiance and authenticity I was fine with it but everyone might not be. I thought what I got was fine. I would get it again, but was I blown away? Not really. This is truly a place that if it is your cup of tea you'll love it but if it isn't then you won't. Which is why the middle of the road review. I liked it and will definitely return but would I recommend ... that is to be determined.

Wife and I had passed this place a few times and said we were going to try it out. Ended up making this our weekly post-church dinner with our kids. Food: Excellent we all had different delicious pasta dishes , my wife and son had the Chicken Alla Limone, our daughter had the Spaghetti Bolognese, and I had old faithful Chicken Parmesan. All of our meals were great. We ended our dinner with some of the best cheesecake we've had in a while! First choice was Tiramisu but it was sold out, we will be back for that. Service: Excellent, we were greeted as we arrived by a host at a reception type desk, he and our waitress Courtney were equally friendly and polite. Our waitress told us she was also a manager and her customer service and recommendations were helpful and she was so attentive. Ambiance: Welcoming environment, with a laid back feel. Modern diner vibes, full bar, booth seating and outdoor dining. Good for a date night or family meal. This place checked all marks!

A new favorite! Trattoria Polipo delivers on all fronts--warm, welcoming service, cozy atmosphere, and seriously delicious food. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the hostess was absolutely amazing--made us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. The cacio e pepe? Incredible. Simple, classic, and done perfectly. Already looking forward to my next visit!

I have been here once before, when it first opened and we enjoyed the visit. The only gripe we had was that it was very loud. We talked up the restaurant to our friends and were looking forward to coming back. We had friends come in from out of town and thought this was the perfect opportunity to revisit. Big mistake. We ordered mozzarella sticks, which came with the smallest drizzle of red sauce I've ever seen. The flavor was decent, but so dry. I asked for extra sauce, and none came. I Asked two more times, and by the time I got it, the appetizer was cold. Strike one. I ordered chicken parmigiana and subbed the spaghetti for a penne style noodle. The food was pretty bland. They didn't tenderize the cutlets, and the breading was on the burned side. Strike 2. When the bill arrived, they overcharged us for the chicken. Charged $5 to switch the noodles, charged $17 for a glass of the house cab, and a whopping $23 for a Manhattan. Strike 3. To be honest, the service was subpar. The food was just ok. It was so loud that we could not talk to each other comfortably, and the prices were outrageous. The one positive thing I have to say about the experience is that the gentleman at the host stand was very pleasant and quick to smile. Thank you for that. The icing on the cake however, is the next morning I was violently ill. My husband seemed ok, so I thought it was just me until my friend messaged me and said his wife, who got the same dish except with veal instead of chicken, was also very sick all morning. I will not be returning.

Can't take him anywhere .... Very bright lighting middle of floor and VERY LOUD WHEN CROWDED! Heh?!!

Ambience. C (acoustics inside VERY LOUD) Service. A+ Food. B Price. B Found in back of strip mall off Walton way extension. Lots of private car parking. Has covered outdoor seating as well as inside seating. Clean and nice ambient lighting. My only con was the acoustics and echoing is Extremely LOUD inside restaurant. Needs noise buffers to absorb sound. Service was very friendly. And helpful describing menus and items. Full bar. Wine was good and priced by glass or bottle. NOW the food to me was Hit and miss. Presentation was gorgeous and large amounts of food for platings as lots of main dishes were $25 and Up. I liked they make their own pasta. It would be interesting to see if I cold actually order my pasta more al dente. I like my pasta on chewier side than in the mushy side. My friends bolognese bucatini was nicely flavored with hints of chili flake powder I sauce. This gave a nice lite spicy. I still thought the dish needed a little more acid. Wey meaty and very large pieces tomato with chunks of ground beef. It's my friends favorite and orders all the time. I thought OK. My other friend ordered the once thick pork chop grilled a lovely medium. Over risotto (which I thought the pork and risotto needed more seasoning. Another friend had the fish. And beautiful presentation. Just a tad overcooked and dry in areas but he enjoyed it anyway. I had the fried stuffed pasta with bolognese. No flavor. Had to get salt and pepper and even add lemon to give some flavor to dish. The crab appetizer was crabby portion. Albeit came out barely warm. So asked for some additional warmer sauce to dip into and definitely needed lemon. The side salads?! Hmm. Small and drenched in oil and green herb...but no flavor. Asked for pepper and salt. And lemon. Thank goodness for condiments. I did have to dress up all the dishes to give some flavor tonight. I'll try again. And try something different. I want to give this place some hope. Lovely service and the wines and drinks And clean bathrooms. Today was lots of misses with mainly food. I shall go back to give another chance for food. NOT a FaN ... yet. .

Con 1. As seen in the picture the bread was undercooked, I got a salad with my meal and specifically said I cannot have anchovies, and they brought out anchovy salad dressing, main course was cold, husbands was luke warm, sent mine back to be heated. After all of that, no desert needed. Pro- Italian soda was great, old fashion drink was amazing. Overall meal was $94 with no appetizers or deserts, not worth it.

It's kind of hidden at the back of a shopping center, but this is a large restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. It wasn't busy at the early dinnertime I arrived, but did pick up even though I was there on a Monday, so reservations might be wise for peak times. They had a happy hour special on arancini, and ordering these was a good decision. Delightfully crisp, they came with peas and mushrooms on top and an abundance of sauce and cheese. A side salad with arugula and fennel added needed flavor contrast and some fiber, while my traditional spaghetti dish was covered with thinly layered cheese and was even tastier with some crushed red pepper requested on the side. I imagine the desserts are nice, but I had no room, particular after two helpings of complimentary bread and olive oil. This is not the kind of place that has much for people who are avoiding wheat or dairy, and the vegetarian options are carb heavy, but given these relatively typical limitations the quality of food and the service were what I'd hoped for my celebratory dinner.

The service was absolutely top-notch, the food was excellent, and the ambiance was certainly very mellow. Our server, Cassandra, was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the menu and made some great recommendations. Their menu is a southern American fusion for sure, putting unique spins on classic dishes. Here's what we had: Drinks: -Bottle of: Vitiani rosso Appetizer: -Charcuterie board (a la carte): -Bresaola (pork) -The drunken goat (Spanish cheese) -The red dragon cheddar cheese -Bacon Jam Dinner: -Pork loin chop -Confit duck pot pie -Beet carpaccio Salad The charcuterie board was very unique and delicious. Afterwards, my lady, and I split the beet salad, her dad had the pork loin, and her mom had the pot pie. Everything was absolutely delicious. After we finished, I met the owners, and told them how much we truly enjoyed it all. They were very appreciative of my compliments. We would certainly stop by here again.

I looked up steakhouses near the area on Yelp and Finch & Fifth had the best reviews. My fiancée and I looked at the menu and were sold. It was small and simple but all looked great. I made reservations for dinner on Black Friday. The inside and bar area is small, a bit dark yet inviting. Our server was Cassandra. Down to earth and very attentive. She told me that their menu changes. That's a good thing. It's always nice to try different meals. I would describe their menu- Southern American fusion. They serve appetizers, charcuterie boards, salads, entrees and dessert. They do have happy hour and specials. We ordered: Drinks: -Bottle of: Vitiani rosso Appetizer: -Charcuterie board (a la carte): -Bresaola -The drunken goat Spanish cheese -Red Dragon cheddar cheese -Bacon Jam Dinner: -Pork loin chop -Confit duck pot pie -Beet carpaccio Salad We started off with the charcuterie board and we all enjoyed it. The bacon jam went well with it. Then our entrees came out. My fiancée and I split the beet salad. So good! My dad demolished his plate. He really enjoyed his pork loin with the veggies. My mom raves about the duck pot pie. She's been telling her friends and family all about it. She had extra and took it home. We had a great experience that my fiancée wanted to meet the owner. Sarah was very sweet and nice to talk to. Everyone had a great time and loved the food! I can say we are fans and definitely coming back. Thanks for making our dining experience wonderful. Especially my parents, they hardly go out to eat and loved their meals.
