What a great local gem. I've decided that this is my Thursday night hangout. The beers are a good…read moreprice and the selection is top-notch. Add to that a bartender that never forgets anything and awesome music...what more could you want. That's right, Thursday nights include an awesome open mic. Lots of local artists and some visitors (I met a performing couple from Virginia) show up to entertain us all. You're sure to hear songs that you know and love as some of the musicians play acoustically and some with driving electric tones. Don't forget to visit the restrooms upstairs. The men's room is interesting and quite tight but nicely appointed down to the guitar-shaped mirror. I hope to see you there!

The bartenders and bar back are some of the better ones that I've met in the industry. You can tell them an idea if the type of drink you would like and they'll make you one of the best cocktails you've had. The parking lot is skates clean, there's ample seating outside, and shine lights it may get a little loud, but it's always clean.

I will NEVER go to this Starbucks location again, located next to this loser dive bar (Owner: Alex Rata) of which I had no idea existed until my daughter and I wanted to get a coffee at Starbuck's at 3 PM in the afternoon. Owner cursed at me, blocked my car as well as another woman's car with his truck as we all watched him scream and threaten another female driving going through the parking lot of Starbuck's: Owner Alex Rata yelled to the driver "what did you say? You want to get out and say that?" Then he proceeded to block me in with his truck and another woman next to me in a car, then started yelling "f*** you read the f***ing signs" and being belligerent. The "sign" was a For Lease by Joe Edge w/ Sherman and Hemstreet!! After investigating I found out the name of the owner of The Hideout, Alex Rata, is a sexual harasser, a MISOGYNIST and the most unprofessional person I have ever met. I still can't believe this happened to me and my daughter at 3 PM in the afternoon...this dump wasn't even open for business! According to some employees at Starbucks he's always like this and has towed them even though they were in Starbucks parking. The guy is obviously an alcoholic, on drugs or mentally unstable- he's ticking time bomb- I reported his sexual harassment to the authorities, as well as my attorney. Harassing FOUR women at one time- this guy is a sicko... VIDEO of his disturbing behavior to follow after authorities and my attorney have reviewed. read more

The hideout is a diamond in the rough. You might not see it while driving down the road, but if you ever happen to stumble upon this majestic dive, you won't regret it. The walls are decorated much differently than almost any bar I've ever been to, the staff is great, and there's a smoking and non smoking sides to the bar. So whether you enjoy a non smoking environment or just don't care because 90% of bars allow smoking, there's a choice. They have pizza, drinks, darts, giant jenga, ping pong, beer pong and shuffle board. It's a lot of fun and a lot more relaxed than most places around. All in all, one of my favorite places to go out to. If you hate America and all other great things, this isn't the place for you. If you love America and a good time, enjoy the hideout. Also... no Starbucks parking. Don't try it. Just read the signs. read more

As a friend and patron of this organization, I can tell you it is a friendly, relaxing, laid-back place to unwind. It doesn't matter whether it's been a day or a month since you've been in there, the bartenders always remember your name and what you like to drink. The owner has done a great job creating this kind of environment with his attention to detail and strong work ethic. It has everything you'd want in a bar. Atmosphere, bar games and the pizza is incredible. The drinks are always fairly priced, if not on the cheap end. I've never had a poor time when visiting The Hideout. If you're looking for a place to kick back and enjoy a few drinks, this is the place to be in Augusta. read more

I have been here plenty of times and had a blast. The drinks were great, the bartenders were awesome.I did however think one time I could park in the hideout parking spot that is CLEARLY marked NO STARBUCKS parking, but I'm an idiot....I knew the bar was closed, but didn't even think about the big trucks that have to go through the small parking lot to make their deliveries...But anyways...the tow truck driver was really nice and the guys next door informed me that i could probably use the ATM at the hideout. Long story short, the owner let me in, I got the money, and then went and bought an AR. Good times. read more

The Hideout is a awesome place. Its a great place to hang out with friends and the staff is great. The drinks are reasonably priced and the food is great. The Hideout is kinda like Cheers once they learn who you are it is a lace where everyone knows your name. This is my choice of hang out in Augusta Georgia.. Support you local small business . (Starbucks is over rated) and should have bought more parking. Better yet if you don't like the parking go to the new Starbucks on Bobby Jones in front of The Home Depot. read more

I love pizza, beer, whiskey, freedom, and America! The hideout is the only one stop shop Monday through Saturday. Great music that only brings in the friendliest crowd. I've been a hideout customer for a few years and have never had a problem with anyone there, customers or staff. Everyone is treated like a regular and I've never heard a complaint from someone who's actually visited the bar. Cheap drinks, great pizza, and unmatched service. There are only a couple bars in Augusta where the people are friendly and the drinks are fairly priced. The Hideout is one of those places. Alex and his crew run a clean and cool space. The vibe is awesome and they have a good beer selection. They allow smoking in half the bar, but an equally large part is sealed off for the nonsmokers with a separate bar and games. It's a win-win. I have been to The Hideout several times. I can honestly say it's one of the best bars I have been to here in Augusta. The drinks are reasonable in price, their pizza is out of this world. I don't smoke and they have a two sections; smoking and non smoking and that is an awesome concept. The owner Alex, is very nice and the staff their is amazing.
