They turned off the music and the lights while we were in the place. The only time they approached us was to tell us that they turned off the lights intentionally, we had to ask if that meant the were closed, which they said yes. So, beware of coming around 11PM. The employees are very transparent, they let me know that if you break a glass piece you can get another one at 50% off. They also warned me about the pricing on the Japanese food/ candy. It is priced very high and don't just hope you don't notice the price. They also have a cigar section with, again many options. I took off my headphone between songs and at first it was a little awkward because you hear people singing, but there was no melody playing. This silent party had 3 dj's so you could switch if you didn't like the song. Each dj brought the heat and it was the most fun that I've had in a long time. Just imagine you singing in your car or in the mirror, that's how I felt at the silent party. I cannot hold a tune, but I was singing my heart out to each song that I knew.
