It's alright there and probably a 5 star for some people but it's not my type of scene. The service was fine but seats are taken even if the person is gone because you will told they are coming back. It's definitely for an older crowd who seem to be stuck in their favorite past era. read more

The story with this place is that the customers are being told that they are waiting on a permit and health inspector before opening the kitchen telling customers they will eventually open it but it hasn't happened! Customers complain about drinks being weak and come to find out Coke isn't a soda you can get there and they serve Pepsi instead. Want a Rum and Coke? Forget it! It's an old biddy gossip parlor and the customer's silently disrespect other customers. Also seen bullying going on. Apparently if you aren't a made up old bag then you don't fit into their entitled cliche.Watch out for that bully.. she is a mental case that stayed in the basket too long!! Poor ambience and you get the feel you are watched so much that you have finally turned to stone. read more

Went here a couple minutes ago after the gym, it's 101 degrees out in Augusta....The Manager, a woman wearing a Spaghetti top tank top, comes over and tells me that I have to leave because she will not allow me to be in the bar wearing a tank top....this woman was wearing a spaghetti strap tank top herself as she told me this. If you have a rule for guest then the employees should also adhere to this rule. Absolutely insulting and shameful of this bar that I have been a frequent guest in for close to 20 years!!!! To be honest I've only been in there and had beers. The atmosphere is a little dark and it can get noisy on karaoke nights. That being said it's a good bar with friendly people. I was actually the youngest person there every time I've been there. So it's kind of an older crowd. I don't mean elderly I mean people in their 50s and up. When I say this place is tucked away, I'm serious. You wouldn't know it was there if you weren't referred or took a wrong turn trying to get to the "neighborhood grille." But once you've found it, It's quite the lil' gem. I visited Shannon's for the first time during Masters Week in Augusta. It was probably one of the most fun nights I've had since living in the city. All of the people were pleasant and just having a great time. We were seated in this huge booth in the restaurant that gave us a good view of everything happening. There was also plenty of room for drinks and food. On my most recent visit, a few friends and I decided to visit on Karaoke night! It was Sunday, but I think it may happen another night of the week also. While I didn't bless the audience with my vocal skills ;) two of our friends did and the crowd loved them. The DJ or Karaoke DJ, I'm not sure what to call him, but he just needed to know what you wanted to sing and he'd find it. So, there's no book or anything. Just request. Also, the drinks and food are reasonable. I had a salad. It was good. The waitress was friendly and quick. I also think she was manning the bar. Oh, there's plenty of parking. don't count on getting any food. the grill is closed about 99% of the time due to lack of staff. get a simple drink from the bar, like a beer or a shot because they only have one bar tender that can make a decent mixed drink. read more

I've been coming here since 2017. Not every weekend but pretty darn close. Over the past few months they've lost a good amount of their "regular" bands and are filling in with karaoke wannabes. Last night and tonight there's no ac. It's crowded.. One bartender and one person working the floors ( who pretty much stays behind the bar). Took 30 mins standing at the bar to get a drink. Really like this place. Have only been in Augusta a few months and someone told us about Shannon's. It is a bunch of very friendly regulars and entertaining bartenders who remembered what my husband and I drank after our first time. They have karaoke several nights a week with some pretty good singers. A low key fun place. Give it a try. read more

This place was pretty amazing. Me and my boyfriend went on a Monday when they have $5 burgers and beers and it's a really good concept but their beer selection was very limited not having many of the drinks we asked for. The burgers were very delicious though down to the hand cut fries. We will defiantly be back for the good food and excellent service. read more

my sister and I have spent the evening at Shannon's if they have wonderful prices the drinks are great service is good and they have karaoke here people are friendly you're interested in a friendly atmosphere where the drinks are reasonable actually they're very inexpensive but don't tell them I said that and they're strong come to Shannon's Sunday night is awesome first night here but it's a great place also they serve for free.this is a great place to come and just relax the seats are comfortable the bar is playing the bartenders are attentive a very nice environment. read more

I am a regular at Shannon's, my friends and I go there at least once a month.The staff has always been very nice and good.Friday night was a different story.One of the bartenders started being very rude to all the customers and she was cussing at people for no reason I take it that she was pissed because the other bartenders were no where to be found and all of us who witnessed her rudeness were shocked we are all regulars.One customer was just looking at her like what the hell as she was being rude to him when all he was trying to do was pay his tab. i will be in touch with the owner about this because it was uncalled for and unprofessional and just rude the way she was treating customers and yes I do know her name! read more

The music is great! The food, when we've had a chance to order in the past, has been good. The service, well, it's horrible, every time. The bar tender has an attitude. We just wanted a regular drink. The table waitress acts like she can't see or something. She'd breeze by and not look at you and after numerous times, we finally got her attention and she said oh, it's too late to order food. It was 8:25! We won't be going back. I gave them 3 chances and it's the same bull, every time. If it weren't for the Karaoke guy, David, who is phenomenal, they wouldn't have any business. read more

This place is for older crowd but lively. Music was great and everyone is respectful. No crying children around. Dance floor is a happy place:) the waitresses are very fast and accommodating. However the food selection is not big. Mostly burgers, fries and casedia. Wine selection is limited, but the mix drinks are good and beers are good variety. read more

We moved here from Upstate NY last month. We love this place! Your welcomed like family your first visit here. The employees are amazing! When you return for your second visit, they know your name and your drink will be waiting for you. Also, your drink will be ready for you before you take you last sip. I wanted to go somewhere different and had never tried this place, so I went there this past weekend. I walked in and I went directly to the bar and thought maybe I would get faster service but I stood there for quite awhile and when I finally got waited on. I was approached by a not so friendly bartender who was in a very foul mood with an attitude. The bartender kept going off at the mouth about how some chic pissed her off and was telling everyone in the entire bar about it and was even telling everyone the name of this chic who pissed her off. Until last night the only problem I had with Shannon's was the uneven service. They never seem to have enough staff on hand. But the drinks are reasonable and they have good local talent. Last night, however, was very different. The owner Barbara was not around and in her place was either her husband or boyfriend. BIG MISTAKE! From what I could tell he just stood around the bar drinking. When our group brought it to his attention service was slower than usual he said he would take care of it. But really did nothing. Before I left I spoke with him about the service,but I could tell he had had way too much to drink to really take in what I was saying. He even admitted he shouldn't be drinking so much while working...ya think? Apparently after I left,according to my group,things got worse. Our group is now banned from Shannon's! Our average age group is 60 so we aren't a bunch of young people causing an issue.( Not saying all youth cause problems,but you get the picture!) We have been going there for years every week! I like going out to socialize and every time I have been to this place ( and most of the complaints come from the guys who hang out there) about the attitude of the bartenders. They seem to get drunk off of shots half way through their shifts and a whole different personality appears. I was told by one person that one of the bartenders seem to be "on the rag" every time they go to the bar for service and the one thing I noticed is extra drinks being on your tab and it does no good to discuss it with the person who has your tab or they will be rude and ugly in your face. That is a sad way of business and some people may just be in the wrong line of work. The staff could improve a whole lot more than the way it is. Makes you want to stay home and drink without the BS. I have a friend who has gotten an excessive amount of drinks on her tab twice but she doesn't say anything about it. Funny how someone tells you and the bartender they want to buy you a drink yet you get charged for it anyways and so does the person buying it. Talking about being screwed over! Stop with the shots all night people while you are working and maybe you can function properly. read more
